I saw a Time Team episode where they found Roman coins that looked exactly like the small metal disc you found! Love the new way you share your research as you make the finds.
Watching Time Team on youtube is how I think I first discovered mudlarkers in the recommendations, and glad I did.

The mystery object/ dummy would make a lovely necklace, I love the bead finds you always come across, and think the idea of a charm bracelet or charm necklace would be lovely. I also think a copper nail wrapped into a ring would be lovely.

Then finding that Roman piece of lead. Bound so tightly. I wonder if it was placed there by a bye gone farmer, wishing for a good crop. Or sunny weather...maybe rain.

Great video guys! When we saw that wee jug, it reminded Sarah and I of a doll’s jug we found at the tip yesterday. We paused the video then went to find it… we couldn’t remember getting it out the bag in the house… long story short - we had put it in the bin!!!! Just recovered it, still wrapped in its newspaper! So thanks - you kind of saved it from being binned… again!
Also - that’s a fab field! With all that occupation and especially with coins showing up on the surface, there’s bound to be silver, possibly even gold coins there. Do you have permission to metal detect there too?

I miss the opening driving scenes. I was blessed to spend a few days in Scotland during the summer of 2018, and thoroughly enjoyed driving through the villages and countryside.

Just got my IDX PRO Mental Detector it is old but when I do get all things going I am heading over to the Gold Coast in Florida to hunt for Spanish treasure. What I love about you two is you get out of the house and make an adventure out of it. More People need to make life an adventure and enjoy life. RAM ON.

Dandy buttons are common finds in New Hampshire colonial homestead sites. There's a couple of TH-cam channels by a local group of friends who hike out and metal detect abandoned homestead sites. Their finds go to a local historical group for preservation. I think one one channel is called stealth diggers, because they always fill in the holes.

the pacifier handles always have that hole through them for a ring. sometimes the ring was also meant for teething which was not very safe because they're often made of hard and brittle material like bone, ivory, or wood.
Finding legs while field walking, hmm. You both are such a treat to watch, I know I'll enjoy watching for as many years as you keep sharing with us.

When Gail picked up the pipe stem I thought I saw another half wig curler on the ground. Saw other porcelain pieces when Alex found the leg, too. I'm also surprised you don't find more seed beads, considering how many it takes to make a decent purse, belt, or other jewelry.

Exciting video! My favourite find in the roll of lead. I think another mudlark recently featured a similar one on their channel only the lead was thinner. I do remember hearing about these Roman curse or wish tablets there.

I'm of two minds re my choice for the window. You could continue the bird theme by putting the little bird on the handle in the window, or you could put the lovely and complete doll's mug there. I'm sure Mudlarking Barbie would appreciate a cuppa now and then. LOL
If I was the one who had found all of the things you guys have found, that tiny penny perfume bottle would be one of my top finds EVER, it's beautiful. Only thing that could make it better is if it was turquoise, my fave color lol. Enjoy!! That deff needs to go on the window sill.
Waaw !! The small lead plate with illegible writing is an interesting find. Surprisingly some moroccan wizards still use this witchcraft !! On an article, l read this quotation: "Among the options that a roman used to get rid of a rival, involves hiring a magician to commit a harm by getting a piece of lead shaped into a thin flat rectangle and inscribes a message to the infernal deities such as: ' Deities, destroy Lucius; If you do so, I will make a donation to your temples'. Then he or she fold the lead tablet, pierces it with an iron nail, take it to the graveyard and inserts it in a tomb."
The moroccan witches, instead of burrying the lead tablet, they melt it in a 'brasero'( a clay charcoal fire utensil).

Hello, I live in the US near San Francisco, California In a recent video you talked about the Holloway company and showed a photo of the little pot they put their product in - back in the 1970s I was digging in my backyard and dug up a complete Holloway pot. It does have a crack but is so cute I am having trouble with my camera but I will upload a photo as soon as I can Barbara

I think the baby soother should go in the window. It's completely unusual and "good for you" for figuring it out! It took multiple pieces so it had to be more difficult. I forget what you called it on your side of the ocean, but honestly, I forget what we call it too. I so love to watch your joy at finding something really old and interesting. I also like that it doesn't have to be so valuable. Good Luck unrolling that piece of lead!
