I just picked up an LMDW Ardmore 11 year and will uncork soon. I love the Ardmore character. These LMDW bottlings are not cheap!
Oloroso Sherry hogshead. Great review as always - does what it says on the tin! Cheers fellas.
Great Job again!!!
Thanks, appreciate it!
Their new 18 is legit. Fantastic starter pour.
Always was!
Worth a trip to Paris to visit LMDW. I was there 2 years ago, I mentioned to the guy that I couldn’t believe they had Blanton’s SFTB just sitting out at €125. He went to a cabinet, pulled out five of them and asked me to please buy them all.
@@llamabones I was always told the French head great taste when it came to liquors and desserts… for me, this just verifies it. Blantons SFTB i’ve always been disappointments for me.
True, I was just impressed by the Tater Salad. I left with a LMDW Benromach pick. Hey, OHLQ, ever heard of Benromach?
Any plans to review any more of this artist series? The Benromachs released in this series definitely caught my eye.
@@MaltSavour no plans, but we certainly will not shy away from them in the future
Favorite Aberlour?
Abunadh batch 68. Was so good.
@@xsilvesnowx68! Nice I still have a 48 or 49…. Now I need to look.
Those old cube bottles from the 70's. 8 year old, 50% abv. Dark or clear vatting, both are good. I also loved a 18 year old vintage 2002 bottled at a whopping 62.6% for La Maison du Whisky again.
I enjoy almost every release of A’Bunadh…but some of the batches in the the 70 range, specifically the 76, runs a bit hot and not as “cinnamony” as other batches. Appreciate your reviews!
A’bunadh was always a solid dram. Cask strength sherry never unwelcome.
