This quickly became "our song" for my wife-to-be, a singer, when we met in '77 and discovered we had a mutual appreciation of Boz and this song in particular. We in fact would put the record on, and slow dance to We're All Alone in the apartment, with me singing and, I must say, doing a pretty good rendition of Boz's song. It is a great and mysterious song, highly cryptic and poetic in the best sense.
To all you old mfers like me (71), I understand your connection with Boz’s music and music like it from back in the day which are beautiful with such true connections. But honestly, I also hated because it definitely reminds of how time has passed. But the thing is that music is or may be my greatest love and therapy, and, learned new music playing my guitar since pre-teen, and still do everyday. I have kept up with current music and learning new songs throughout each generation till this very day. But I finally will admit with no fear as I have prevented any favoritism or bias regarding music, but I had enough and fearlessly say music back in our day was the best, though we all know there is a special personal connection. But nevertheless…the 60s, 70s, 80s and even the 90s were the best! That’s how old I am! But at least I included 4 different decades of my life. Note: There are great, good and bad music in every generation…even now. I love music❤❤❤

I am in deep sorrow, my son died in August 2022. This day I did nothing but cry. This song, the performans of this beautiful human being, a man, gives me so much comfort. Close your eyes, and you can be with me! And that is what I do. To be with my son again.

Truly beautiful. I came of age with the music of the 60's, 70''s, and this lovely haunting song is certainly a 'highlight' of that wonderful era.
