letra;
Outside the rain begins and it may never end
so cry no more on the shore a dream
will take us out to sea
forever more forever more
close your eyes and dream
and and you can be with me
'neath the waves through the caves of hours
long forgotten now
we're all alone we're all alone
Close the window calm the light
and it will be alright
no need to bother now
let it out let it all begin
learn how to pretend
Once a story's told
it can't help but grow old
roses do lovers too
so cast your seasons to the wind
and hold me dear oh hold me dear
Close the window calm the light
and it will be alright
no need to bother now
let it out let it all begin
all's forgotten now
we're all alone oh oh we're all alone
close the window calm the light
and it will be alright
no need to bother now
let it out let it all begin
all's forgotten now
we're all alone we're all alone
let it out let it all begin
owe it to the wind my love - เพลง
Great song and one I have not heard in years.
Back when we had our youth and our parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents were all with us and healthy. Those were the days, weren’t they?
They were, indeed. So very nostalgic. If I could go back in time just for a short time…
Indeed
Indeed they were 😊
So true. I really have no one except a son left and he lives 3000 miles away. Rita is such a great singer❤️
So true, loosing a bunch at once here to old age and dementia. I am lost now. 😢
A beautiful woman sings a beautiful song beautifully
No curse. No autotune. Only talent. I call this music.
And don't forget no sleazy nudity and hairy tongues
Amen
That’s all you get mostly now
And that so-pop music riff by the end, ah, delightful.
Rita Coolidge had one of the most beautiful voices. She was one of the greats. They don't make them like her anymore!
Also a beautiful woman. Of all the music and songs of my youth this is the one that takes my back.
She definitely was beautiful on this song. Wasn’t this song in a James Bond movie??

You make it sound like she is gone. She is still alive at 78.
A esas almas, que sienten el sufrimiento de haber quedado solas, y creen que munca superaran el dolor , les digo solamente Dios es nuestro consuelo infinito , y que bendiga a cada ser que este leendo este mensaje.
😊 good
Even though I'm a 'doubter,' your words give me hope. Thank you.
Still love this one ❤🇬🇧
Last time I heard this song I was a little boy and I didn't think much of it. Now it's 2023 and this song just brought a tear to my eye. What's happening to me? Please don't say I'm getting old lol. This is a beautiful song
Nah, your just sad at how our society has changed and not for the better.😢😡😢😢
Es q lo bueno no pasa ❤🇨🇺🎶
Hay q llorar
Classic ❤
I close my eyes and think about the good times ❤
Beautiful lady, song and voice. I miss the peaceful love songs of past decades. Turning on the radio used to be a fun and relaxing experience.
As long as there are people like you and me who loved it appreciated it and felt it are around, the music will always be here. That’s the beauty of music. Nothing can permanently quiet down the music in a man’s soul.
@@michaellee7960 💜 Love your comment! Let's keep the beautiful music of the 70's alive!

Where have all the beautiful people and moving music gone? Thankfully this era is preserved for us forever. What a lovely lady and voice!!!!!
With you Jim 😢
She was married one time to Kris Kristofferson
This is one of my favourite songs - and it shouldn't be, I like my music heavy. She's fantastic.
She is Hot and lovely, I have her birthchart

Happy Birthday to Rita Coolidge May 1st 1945. Beautiful voice and a beautiful lady.
May 1, 1945 (age 77 as of Apr-2023). Coolidge was married to Kris Kristofferson from 1973 to 1980.
I was wondering if anyone would remember that. I remember the last time they sang together. Kris was drinking a lot during that period.
Just Awesome!!! a beautiful song in depth straight from the heart and soul love it . This song is a history for lovers who really, really love.each OTHER ETERNALLY
still listening 2024
Thank you Boz Scaggs for writing this beautiful song, and thank you Rita Coolidge for recording it.
The 70s when music still had a heart.
Rita is STILL the MOST loveliest woman alive, & her eyes are the MOST beautiful !!!!
This song gets me where it hurts ... the passage of time.
Yeah, you get it.
Same :-(
Spot on Bill, that's where it hurts.
Well said Bill
We are time itself.
Good ol Tennessee girl….very under appreciated artist
Rita sings this song in such an elegant way!!!
Man she was gorgeous when she was in her prime, voice is damn good too!
É a sua música embalou muitas brincadeiras dançantes na minha época 1970,excelente cantora
This was Rita's second top ten single reached number 7 on Billboard pop singles chart in the fall of 1977.
I remember when this came out. Such a long time ago, so much has gone downhill. What a great time it was to be alive
Even though this song has a sad meaning, it is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. 😥
Love Love Love. A besutiful lady with a beautiful voice.
this song take me back to 1977. Memories..

What a pretty and adorable woman ,hello, my darling ?
I saw a TV special with Rita and Boz Scaggs singing this together and it was phenomenal.
They both had a hit with this same song about the same time.
Boz wrote it but never released it as a single - dunno why, it woulda been a hit
Eu tinha 10 anos quando eu ouvi essa musica pela primeira vez, ela fazia muito sucesso .
Still to this day one of the most beautiful vocalists out there. She just never ages, and still sounds great. Even after all these decades.
I agree 100000%
I agree 1000% too. Hi from indonesia.
Peace of majesty
The best ever melody of Rita. Beautiful voice & lyric.
This song got big time radio play. She has a beautiful voice and Boz wrote a beautiful song. I love hearing Boz sing this because in his 78 years on this planet he's still got it.
Boz Scaggs, grande.....
I still love the original, Box but I appreciate Rita's rendition though.
This beautiful musical poetry was listened to by my parents in the 70's, both already deceased, my father died after the pandemic in a nursing home from bilateral pneumonia without being able to see him and say goodbye to him for 10 months, in moments of depression and sadness I listen to this song remembering those happy years..
I'm so sorry for your loss. How they separated those in nursing homes from us was cruel and unnecessary. God bless you.

I was 8 years old when i first listened to Rita's 8 track summer of 76 on a family trip through Yellowstone.. This song takes me right back.. Love it
This was NOT released in the summer 1976...it was released in late 1977 into early 1978.
must have been 77" then cause we stopped at Custers battlefield too and it way the year after the 76 anniversary..
Maravilloso...nostalgico..

This was one of my first 45 records I purchased as a teenager. After all these years it sure brought back some good memories. Thank you for posting this beautiful song. Rita Coolidge is a talented artist.
Back then the rock music critics looked down on this kind of pop, which is far better than most rock music.
Thank god we had this growing up….
Beautiful song and beatiful singer! I love this song!!!!
One of the most beautiful pop songs ever!

I’m 30 years old but I wish I lived through the 70s, the best era of pop music. I can’t relate to what’s on the radio nowadays :’( no more gems like this
Just listening this makes u feel in good mood. She has a gift in her voice which makes u feel relaxed. So gracefully sung. She is a blessed voice
An Classic song , from an great , great singer .
One of my all time favorite songs from the spectacular 70's is this one. Love it
I remember this song from middle school dances. There was a jukebox full of 45s, it was mid 70s, Friday night school dances in the gymnasium. Boys were on one side of the gym, girls on the other side. I was in 6th grade and had a huge crush on an 8th grader. I walked slowly across the gym , terrified inside, and asked the girl if she wanted to dance. She said yes. This song came on and created a wonderful memory.
Hands down the most beautiful and classy woman that has ever graced the annals of modern American music. Utterly and unspeakably attractive. "Da morire", as the Italians would say. Watching her sing brings spontaneously these verses by Lord Byron in mind: "And on that cheek, and o’er that brow / So soft, so calm, yet eloquent / The smiles that win, the tints that glow / But tell of days in goodness spent / A mind at peace with all below / A heart whose love is innocent." How Kristofferson could muster the unfathomable stupidity of letting her go (or was it the other way round?) will remain one of the great mysteries of the 20th century.
