But your on your mom's side becuase he tought you to be the man of the house and protect your mother even though he fights you and her. And you have to fight him because. no one wins and the relationship of father is son is at a end it's we as Warriors are just now on diffrent paths... play this game why your going to devorice and your paths are made for you and you have to go along your own path becuase your slave to your father's code of honor but he can't go along side his deeds as they are horrible... but he wants you to do the right thing even if the father and son bond is more broken then a dropped sheet of glass on hard floor... play the game with that mind set let me tell you guys as a 25 year old young man going though this thing with my parents for the last 2 years. I played this game not knowing any of this or how fucken close it was to home... I fucken admit as man I cried hard on this game not for the story but how fucken close it hits me... i didn't kill the uncle. by then jin had rejected the samurai code and all it stood for and embraced the title of the "ghost" and its symbolism. the uncle survived cos i don't think jin would kill the only real father figure he ever had in his life (after playing iki island dlc jin's dad is a pretty terrible person). uncle can suck it and live. honour died on the beach.
Mik in GoT2 the Khans child will kill Jin 2 hours in for killing his dad and then you play as the Khans kid for most of the game to show how bad Jin really was😂😂😂

Jin Sakai is a such a good character. At first I didn't think he was pretty special but after certain part of the story I realised how fucking amazing he was. Can't wait for a sequel honestly

There is no need for a sequel, but if there is a ghost 2 in the future, I would have complete faith in Sucker Punch to do it justice but I wonder how a sequel would even work considering the choice you have to make at the end?. I loved this game. I'm so glad that the PS4 ends its cycle with this game instead of the pit of misery that was TLOU2
@@timmurray2945 it was confirmed that the spare route is canon, they still added the kill option for the players personally chose the kill path to show the last bit of honor
@@brickobrick Whether its canon or not, having Lord Shimura appear in any potential sequel would kill the immersion straight away for players that chose the kill option. Unless, they develop a sequel that has two branches depending on what you decided at the end of the first game. Anyways, getting ahead of ourselves. Any potential sequel would be years away. I also chose the kill option. It just felt right for me.
Historically speaking, that would be possible since the Mongols did make it to Mainland Japan however with Jin being the traitor he is, he's just gonna be hunted by the shogunate so no bueno either way. A prequel though might be possible but it'll be a complete spinoff since the Mongol invasion's first phase was to attack Tsushima. If they're gonna stick to that timeline, it'll be tough.

If u visit the bath springs(i forgot what they were called in game) he shows his inner thoughts and feelings. With ryuzo he is a bit free and jokes with him. His emotions are subtle and thats what makes him a great character for me.
This game has a subtle detail once you decided to honour lord shimura with a warriors death. Once you stab him with your tanto, you can feel the vibrations in the controller that shows his heartbeat slowing down gradually until it comes to a halt. This game truly pays attention to the minor details giving us the best experience we could receive.
Jin Sakai will always be one of my favorite protagonists for now on. He is a definite S Tier PlayStation Protagonist and such an amazing protagonist overall. This game is amazing.

The samuri Alianderp293 even then he’s uncle sees him as too much of a dishonor once he was called a traitor by the shogun. It’s sad seeing that clash between honor and effectiveness. The clash between uncle and son.
Here after the sequel was announced. Although we may not be able to see Jin again yet, we know at least his legend will be passed down (hopefully) Glory to the ghost!
Tbf I think it's worth mentioning that some recent Ubisoft games have had pretty great soundtracks - Far Cry 5 had a bunch of creepy-yet-catchy gospel and country songs to match the rural cult vibe ('Set Those Sinners Free' and 'We Will Rise Again' come to mind), and Watch Dogs 2 had Hudson Mohawke making some cool electronica tunes to match the tech setting (like 'Play N Go' or 'Watch Dogs Theme').

As for games already out, there ain't much but animal crossing. We're only half way through the year but I reckon its gonna come down to between this, cyberpunk, animal crossing. @@jebb7054 For me it was more impactful to kill shimura since it will mark the end of the game, he is the ghost , he sacrificed every single thing to defend the weak, he needs to suffer to become who he is and by killing shimura, the ghost had finished its transformation. Well it's kind of dilemma beetween if you want to save jin or the ghost, i choosed the ghost because jin died on the beach with its honor
*SPOILERS* When this song plays during Jin’s escape and you watch as your horse slowly die, i actually teared up and felt anger towards the Mongols. I believe that this is when Jin truly embraced The Ghost.

The ending is one of the best ending i’ve seen in a video game. The drama, the action, the cinematography, and my god... the dialogue. “you have no honor” “and you are a slave to it” This better win GOTY.
I feel even without the context of this game's story, the song itself is so powerful on its own. The dynamics and the chords are just so emotional and the singing just adds to it. What a amazing piece of music.

After finishing the game this song hits different.... It perfectly captures Jin’s transformation from an honorable samurai into the ghost (or shinobi).
The melody in this is actually similar to a melody in "Memories of Mother" in the God of War OST. It's also pretty theatrical and heavy, I bet this here was influenced by Bear McCreary's work
No handsome blonde hero, no big ass tiddy woman, no ridiculous looking monsters. Just a lonely warrior and his horse...doing whatever it takes to reclaim his home. Thanks for making this game.

Choosing between honour and becoming the Ghost has been the biggest struggle for Jin throughout the game, this song just reflects on the sacrifice he had to make to save his people

Sony has a very good reputation when it comes to making sequels for their Exclusives. Horizon: Forbidden West, God of War: Ragnorok, and Spider-Man 2 are all examples. @@alien0737 The only sequel that I really recall of being woke is maybe TLOU Part 2. Even then, that wasn't necessarily woke as Ellie was already implied to be a lesbian in the first game. Other than that, Sony has a good reputation when it comes to these things. I know that Sony has been getting backlash recently, but it's certainly not about the sequels they've released. Unless your idea of "woke" means there's one black, female or gay character in the entire game (which means nothing as it's not like Sony is shoving it in your face), then I don't understand the problem. And if your problem is that the protagonist is a girl... then don't play it??? Ghost of Yōtei is a separate story regardless and it's not like they forcibly made a female replacement for Jin.
When I saw the credits of this game and heard this song, I started clapping in front of my TV. Of all the games I've played, this was the most true "Movie Like" experience I've ever had. And believe me, I do like Metal Gear Solid and many other movie like/plot heavy games too. I played the sly cooper games when I was a kid and I thought it was the shit. One of my favourite Platformer series of all time. I giggled like a kid when I found "The (head)band of the second son" in Tsushima. I loved the infamous series, when everyone else didnt get it at the time and saw it as a mediocre series. But I still enjoyed it a lot especially with the powers and the cool characters.

Funny you mentioned Hans Zimmer. He composed the score for _The Last Samurai._ He captured traditional Japanese music so well even Japanese film composers themselves asked him how he did it. I love seeing videos of the movie's theme, "A Way of Life," set to scenes from the game.

I started Ghost of Tsushima almost over a year ago, but fell into a depressive episode and wasn’t able to to start playing again until recently, and I’m just now in Toyotama and I just want to say that the memory of playing this game and the memory of the characters of this game will remain with me for a long timw

I literally finished the game last night, everything about this story is 10/10, Jin’s constant struggle between his honor and the realization that the Ghost is the only way to defeat the Mongols building up to the very end when you fight Lord Shimura, and whether you kill him or not, you realize that their battle represented the struggle between honor and the Ghost, and at that point I was struggling to hold back tears during the credits while this song played; and I will never forgot how much I was affected by your horse’s death after Act II

If u visit the bath springs(i forgot what they were called in game) he shows his inner thoughts and feelings. With ryuzo he is a bit free and jokes with him. His emotions are subtle and thats what makes him a great character for me.

This game has a subtle detail once you decided to honour lord shimura with a warriors death. Once you stab him with your tanto, you can feel the vibrations in the controller that shows his heartbeat slowing down gradually until it comes to a halt. This game truly pays attention to the minor details giving us the best experience we could receive.

Tbf I think it's worth mentioning that some recent Ubisoft games have had pretty great soundtracks - Far Cry 5 had a bunch of creepy-yet-catchy gospel and country songs to match the rural cult vibe ('Set Those Sinners Free' and 'We Will Rise Again' come to mind), and Watch Dogs 2 had Hudson Mohawke making some cool electronica tunes to match the tech setting (like 'Play N Go' or 'Watch Dogs Theme').

@@jebb7054 For me it was more impactful to kill shimura since it will mark the end of the game, he is the ghost , he sacrificed every single thing to defend the weak, he needs to suffer to become who he is and by killing shimura, the ghost had finished its transformation. Well it's kind of dilemma beetween if you want to save jin or the ghost, i choosed the ghost because jin died on the beach with its honor
The bad ending is sparing him.

When this song plays during Jin’s escape and you watch as your horse slowly die, i actually teared up and felt anger towards the Mongols. I believe that this is when Jin truly embraced The Ghost.

Sony has a very good reputation when it comes to making sequels for their Exclusives. Horizon: Forbidden West, God of War: Ragnorok, and Spider-Man 2 are all examples. I trust that Ghost of Yōtei is in good hands.

@@alien0737 The only sequel that I really recall of being woke is maybe TLOU Part 2. Even then, that wasn't necessarily woke as Ellie was already implied to be a lesbian in the first game. Other than that, Sony has a good reputation when it comes to these things. I know that Sony has been getting backlash recently, but it's certainly not about the sequels they've released. Unless your idea of "woke" means there's one black, female or gay character in the entire game (which means nothing as it's not like Sony is shoving it in your face), then I don't understand the problem.
And if your problem is that the protagonist is a girl... then don't play it??? Ghost of Yōtei is a separate story regardless and it's not like they forcibly made a female replacement for Jin.

When I saw the credits of this game and heard this song, I started clapping in front of my TV.
Of all the games I've played, this was the most true "Movie Like" experience I've ever had. And believe me, I do like Metal Gear Solid and many other movie like/plot heavy games too.
I played the sly cooper games when I was a kid and I thought it was the shit. One of my favourite Platformer series of all time.
I giggled like a kid when I found "The (head)band of the second son" in Tsushima.
I loved the infamous series, when everyone else didnt get it at the time and saw it as a mediocre series.
But I still enjoyed it a lot especially with the powers and the cool characters.
Have you played Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2? This game got its inspiration from that series.

I literally finished the game last night, everything about this story is 10/10, Jin’s constant struggle between his honor and the realization that the Ghost is the only way to defeat the Mongols building up to the very end when you fight Lord Shimura, and whether you kill him or not, you realize that their battle represented the struggle between honor and the Ghost, and at that point I was struggling to hold back tears during the credits while this song played; and I will never forgot how much I was affected by your horse’s death after Act II
Goddamn this game is amazing, I got it for Christmas and finished it yesterday (the main story), loved every minute.

This year sucked, but at liest for games it's looks pretty nice right now.

I don´t know everything is delayed, i saw gameplay for new ac game which i was hyped for and turns out to be another odyssey and when finally came out my biggest anticipated game the last of us part 2 well i dont wat to think about it anymore
@@ray_velcoro1049 we had doom eternal and half life alyx. Also a remake of sbongebob battle for bikini bottom. Resident Evil 3 remake. We are getting the two new major consoles out this year. Did I forget to mention Cyberpunk 2077. So yeah I think this has been a good year for gaming.

Ff7R soundtrack is brilliant
The full soundtrack isn't even out, and tlou 2 has an amazing one and i heard great things about ff7
@@joaovitorcruz5133 I'm just really excited for the game and the soundtrack really reminds me of "The Last Samurai" by Hans Zimmer. This will be something special for sure. I haven't heard ff7's soundtrack and tlou2's soundtrack was nice but not as great as the first one.
@@wolfbrigade8042 yeah, this game promises to be great, and about the soundtrack i haven't heard ff7 yet, but i see people commenting it's great every time. And for me tlou 2 is my favorite soundtrack, I love all de musics. I like it even more that tlou 1, which was awesome too, but i think tlou 2 has more songs instead of different versions of one like part 1 has a lot
