To anyone reading this and planning to make crepes, here are a few tips: - You can make your dough better by adding some melted butter to it, people also like to add beer and I guess it makes them softer - You need to bake them until light golden color so a bit more than what he did, they will be easier to digest and I think that they taste better - To "store" them while you're baking the rest of them, I like to put them on a plate but not folded, so that the heat of the other ones makes them all soft and hot until the end ! I add some sunflower oil instead of butter into the batter (50ml oil, 350ml milk). With that, they are easier to unstick from the pan. When I put them in the plate while bakint the rest of them, I cover them with slightly wet paper towel. I make them in the shaker. Shake everything except flour for 10 seconds. Add flour. Shake 20 seconds. I am gluton bastard that can not wait even 30 minutes so I start baking them immediately. I don't plan crepes - they just happen.

-cup of flour (128g) -cup & a half of milk (365ml) -pinch of salt -pinches of sugar -2 eggs -blend the batter in a blender. -put the batter in the pan, swirl around so it’s a thin layer. -cook till golden brown. -add your preferred toppings.
No way man, my Swedish pancake crepe recipe is superior. :) 3 eggs 2 cups milk 1 Tblsp melted butter 1 1/2 cups flour 3 Tblsp of sugar Beat up eggs. Then add milk and melted butter. Last, add flour and sugar and beat out once. Over medium-low fire, ladle out a spoonful of batter on a no stick pan or pan with a bit of spray oil on it, turn pan to spread thinly, and flip after “wet“ look disappears. (Makes about 16 small to medium crepes).
You can also freeze crepe batter in ice cube trays, pop them out and store in a freezer bag - crepe cubes are super useful to give you the ability to defrost a given number of servings, and you can even pop a cube right into a hot pan and swirl away!
I just found your videos and have been loving them, your style is unique and refreshing. I feel like one opportunity to cater to your audience a bit more for crepes is emphasizing the laziness to quality ratio and how readily available this food is with little (probably no) shopping. Leaving things to rest and using a blender are great, but combining the ingredients in a bowl, whisking, and using immediately gives a crepe that is 80% as good or better, and people can weigh whether or not it's worth the time for the difference in quality. The crepe is one of the easiest, quickest meals to cook and I think that's a huge selling point. As lazy/fast as it gets is something like: combine/whisk batter ingredients: 2-3 mins (put a pan on the stove while doing this) cook crepes:

Great recipe, perfect for the Chandeleur (the day when the French make a lot of crêpes, on February 2nd) 👍 Only thing, to flip a crêpe, you just make it jump into the air - it's part of the fun and you won't burn your fingers every time. And yeah, it needs to be more golden 😉

There is this absolutely fantastic old school french cooking show somewhere on the youtube that shows the most decadent crêpe batter recipe with more rhum, anise liquor and white beer than milk. If you speak any french you should definitely check it out, they're the best crêpes I've ever had. The alcohol evaporates as soone as the batter hits the pan and leaves tiny air bubbles which make the crêpe airy and soft. Best enjoyed with very simple toppings, or even none at all, to really get the full vanilla, anise and rhum flavor. You can even be a bit cheeky and go for salty toppings like french cheese and white ham for the full experience.
For the first time ever I tried cooking and made this, took 20 minutes cooking all the crepes and 1 minute devouring half of them. Mostly my gluttony’s fault though, pretty easy and darn tasty.

I'd argue even the shugar is too much. Where I live (french border), they only put milk, flour, salt and a little blop of oil in. They don't even oil the pan after because oil is already in the batter. Thats how I learned them atleast. I also never saw them cooked this short, usually we wait to flip the crepe until the under-side is atleast somewhat browned. Most of the people I know that do this for a living at fares etc. also put a little butter on top once the crepe was flipped once. It also seems to be an unwritten rule to always eat the first crepe yourself (or throw it away) because they never get as goot as the other ones. Just some sidenotes from someone who has grown up eating thousands of these in my childhood ;)
Also, we have a rule for portioning: put flour and eggs in first, then slowly add milk. Wisk the batter around in a circle, then suddenly stop and watch how many rounds the batter keeps spinning. If it spins two more rounds (or 1,5 if you want thicker), the texture of the batter is good for a thin crepe.
The videos are also shorter than what TH-cam "wants" you to make. Which I prefer. Quick and to the point instead of a long bloated video with three skillshare ads.
