As an Aussie who hasn't seen or touched snow ( GASP), I really appreciated the snow caped mountains, the beauty of Montana and the Twilight character making a cameo🤭. Gosh, I could smell the stinky gas chicken food and breakfast egg all the way from Downunder. The Rood, Black and Blue restaurant would be my kind of place to eat at ( being a butcher's daughter) and my mouth was salivating. And shame on you not wanting to try a Montana burger. Gina is priceless, as always🤗
I'm an Aussie too, and I got into snow skiing when I was about 30. My biggest regret is that I didn't start earlier. Best experience ever. I've since skied in Austria which was the best experience I've ever had. Standing on top of a mountain, clear blue skies and snow-covered peaks in every direction, so special.

That big gas station you stopped at with the Iron Skillet, I used to go there all the time for their salad bar. I went to college in Cheney, and that place was my weekend unwind. Exit 272 off I90 in Washington St.
I live in Aberdeen WA welcome for the brief moment you were in Washington LoL probably had to pass through Bellingham to go where you needed to go, its been a long time since me and my friends went clubbing in Canada in the 90s , anyways if you ever find your way back up here the beach in Westport usually last days in June is a Pirate Festival and also in South Aberdeen they have a historical seaport where Tall ships like Lady Washington and the Thermopylae. Dock at plus for your horrid history channel there are old stories and tall tales of early times when Aberdeen was a red light seaport with a Barkeeper of the brothel alleged serial killer Billy Gohl around the early 1900s the location is a novelty bar and grill currently
They have the Thermopylae there? Wow! A replicate I assume? I built a model of it when I was a kid. Love Clipper ships.

As a former Butcher, those cuts at that fancy restaurant were outstanding. I would've taken the Porterhouse, though.
And, that's a Truck stop, Jay. Petro/Iron Skillet, TA, Pilot, Flying J, Loves; those extra amenities are for Truckers who are on the road for weeks at a time. Been there, done that, never again.

Looks like a blast! Wish I were there. We have some drive through coffee shops, but I don't recognize that brand. Fred Meyers is a grocery chain owned by the Kroger Stores umbrella. The huge gas station you went to is like those we have in Ohio. It's much like Buccees. By the way, Jay, it was your JOB as Navigator to ensure Gina did not exceed the speed limit. Finally, I appreciate gas station food as much as you do, but I agree with Gina, you should've gotten a Montana burger.

We've got drive-thru coffee places in FL. PCB has Fly-By coffee near the Air Force base.

If you’re ever traveling through central Kentucky on I-75, stop at Exit 41 in London. There’s a BP gas station there that has a restaurant inside and it is seriously some of the best food I’ve ever eaten! They make meals that are like what your grandma makes on Sunday afternoons. Looks like you all had a fun trip! Except for the getting pulled over part… 😂

I'm originally from the Vancouver area, though raised in the interior US. Whenever my family goes back to Canada, they always make a point that you have to eat properly while your food has a chance of being fresh off the boat.
I love the Cascade mountains. Hiked them for military reasons...

Great show, Jay! I've been living in South China since '04, but pretty much grew up in the Northwest including Spokane, Billings and Boise. This video brought back a LOT of memories. Still don't miss the snow all that much, however. I was kinda taken aback at how you found strip malls so unusual. Y'all don't have those in Florida?
