Aren't those just high res kits? since high res are basically ms with a pre assembled inner frame that looks absolutely beautiful and has a tendency to fall apart just like RGs.

For stuff like cleaning the mold lines on the RG inner frame, you can get ceramic hobby knife blades that are great for scraping off mold lines, especially on softer material that don't cooperate with sanding.
I built nearly every RG that exists and this is without a doubt one of the very best and is probably my favorite.. It is pretty unique in a lot of it's designs and looks amazing when built..

To me, it's the overall look of the kit, the detail and gimmicks that give it that 'real' look. If you look at the first RG RX 78 and the 3.0 MG they're both based on the RX 78 statue that used to be at Gundam Base in Tokyo. As far as I know, there's no other MG's that have the realistic detail that the RX 78 3.0 has, or even the detail the RG's have. They do have amazing inner frames, but generally the armour is anime accurate.

I've bought this kit about 2 years ago, I asked the store owner where I usually buy my model kit and he facilitated me by asking his friend in Japan to actually searched this kit in Japan and sent the kit by air (usually his shop restocking from Japan by sea). Looking forward for the new RG 1/100 lineup though 😂
Gundam/Tau mashups are really cool. One of my first encounters with Gunpla was when I put a 1/144 MS Launcher sword on a Tau Riptide (Think a less fancy Gerbera Straight). That's in my "Projects I'll get back to someday" box.
Astraea Type-F is definitely my favorite 00 Gundam along with 1.5 Gundam and 00 7 Sword/G Fon Spaak beat up Innovators in this dude with a blown off neck A bit ironic that the HG comes with more stuff to make the Astraea Type-F Full Weapon

My Metal Build Astrea Type F is one of the prizes of my collection. I'm sad to see this one comes with so few accessories compared to that. The Metal Build has multiple floating shields, mounted rocket launchers, a bazooka, pistols with holsters, and all the stuff shown here. This kit seems downright anemic by comparison.

I am lucky enough to have the Metal Build version of this and it is absolutely amazing! Sturdy, great detail, and an absolute ton of accessories! It’s very expensive now, but it is my definitive version of the Astraea.
I kinda want the comparisons as photos in a weird cheesy sorta vacation montage like Astrea is just taking pictures with a bunch of cosplayers or something XD

isn't as fun as it's HG counterpart, there's a WHOLE lot of weapons included in that set, including mace, grenade launcher and more, and you can mount almost of all them on it. Plus, extra parts to convert it to red Exia.

That's the only thing I didn't really like with the 00 RG's: really smol parts! Especially when it came to the head. The cheek vents are really small and is a loss hazard.

I'm surprised that all of the Astraea type f's armaments aren't present. No mention of the GN Vulcans in its arms, no GN Hammer, the NGN Bazooka, the GN Hand Missile unit, or the 2 GN Pistols.
For those who are hesitant to get the MG Exia. It's an amazing kit The GN Drive did frustrate me at first, but after applying some nail polish in the right spots, it's perfectly stable. The detail and color separation is amazing, and the GN Cables aren't frustrating at all. The articulation is fantastic, especially the waist and hips, so you can recreate Setsuna's "This time, I will become a Gundam." scene There are only a few loose parts (front thigh armor, the storage points for the GN Blades), but they are certainly nothing that some nail polish can't fix The GN cables in the shoulders are not nearly as much of a problem as I thought. You may want to remove the GN Blades if you want to do a wide stance with the legs You also get a Carol Maintenance machine in 1/100 scale
Love me Real Grades, pinnacle of the Bandai engineering and detail as far as im concerned. Would like to ask about the RG Wing Zero EW because was considering but am torn since I dont know enough about it and whether it would be considered as an unfortunate E. R. S. model? As for me, it's cuz the Astraea is in red which is my fav colour and the fact that it has a visor. Seriously MS with visor is just lit af🔥

Try using a nano glass nail file for nub removal. It'll make the filed part shiny though
