Bring this series back!!
"a lot of wack records are dope" Best words ever said lol
Dilated is one of the best hip hop groups to see live. Make their own beats, write their own rhymes. Always have something extra for the heads. AND a DJ who can scratch and CUT! Straight Hip Hop.
Love Babu!!!!!! The backbone to hip hop is the DJ, and he's one of the illest
Love the pops and crackles...smell of dust...holding the song in your hand....amen brother
Babuuuuuu! Th first to coin the term turntablist ! Classic battle routines and a slew of dope music production under his belt The man is a Legend!
DJ Babu sampling Pim Koopman!!
makes a dutch man proud! ;-)
How you can interview Babu and not have him perform a quick set is beyond me.
From "Lifetime Monologue" to a "Fantasy"! Lol!! Nice.
As someone who has lived in Japan since 2006, I can confirm that whole story about Shibuya just being made of records. At that time, you couldn't sneeze without hitting a record shop. It was insane. Sadly, as most things go, a lot of those stores with the more, shall we say, "interesting" names have either closed down or moved to another part of Tokyo.
However, there are still some amazing shops around Shibuya and other parts of Tokyo...
I met him in public. He was very rude. I didn’t watch this but glad I got to finally say something about it.
that MJ record literally fell "Off The Wall"!
fan since day one still underrated ppl need to do there research and check there credits from dj muggs to alchemist to dj babu to evidence we had some raw west coast producers
Matthew Duncan No homo my negus, but on Hotep-you kinda cute, bruh.
RunawayCreatives Not if I said no homo, tho.
RunawayCreatives According to who? Why you want my comment to be gay so bad? Thats kinda sus, bruh. On 'Pac, its no homo, bruh.
Thes One from People under the stairs is underrated as well.
Did anybody take the time to notice that Michael Jackson's "Off the Wall" fell off the wall of records at 6:22?
Made me cringe so much
Messenger

@@liquidmetalslime9 I'm everywhere and nowhere lol
Thanks man. I don't really like to copy other formats, but I might come up with something 😉
Peace
@@MAARTN i understand the no biting part, hip hop culture lol. But it would be fun to see you just kind of talk about some of your collection, early experiences with music, how you got your start etc. You don't have to call it crate diggers or anything similar.
I gotta come check out some more of your vids, it's been awhile.
@@liquidmetalslime9 I did talk about some records in this video, and I give a shout out to this series:

L-E-G-E-N-D
this is my friend that I been trying to get beats from dad... I knew his dad was a dj producer but I didn't know he was this big that's crazy
Babu created the term "turntablist". He is the top of the top. Go learn from him right now.
@@dmondg3281 no he never invented the term. Dj Disk of Herbie Hancock, Primus, ISP, was the one who created the term originally until Babu stole it from him in the 94/95 West Coast DMC Battle Reigonals after a conversation. Dj Disk had the first flyer with that word made in 94. Babu coined the term in '96. Babu was known to bite DJ Disk's 2 click orbits as well.
dope interview!! can u try to get Apollo brown on here too? Thanks Fuze I love these vids!!
"A lot of wack records are dope" lol
I’m dutch, lmao when he said “slag work” , dutch for drumming.!
Just a quick correction, it was "Off The Wall" album.

3:18 - greetings from Polish
“the little records” lol
Babu knows his game - polish records are the shit
damn. i regret getting rid of all my records. I had about 22 milk crates jam packed with wax.
Mr.Cees and Fubk Flex would be epic, i don't like them personally, but their hip hop speaks for itself, esp Mr Cees.
Does anyone know what that beat at 2:14 is?
Also, what's that record behind Babu, with the colourful cover?
shibuya is still crackin
Duck season wuz crazy
@Beat Junkies !
FUCKIN' LOVE THIS SHOW!, best thing on youtube right about now!
Congratulations, you knew one of the records in the clip =)
What if he bought the record in Japan?
Love the series but I notice most of the records everyone pulls out are generally $20 dollar records - I mean Pulsion , great record but u can find that everywhere ... I guess they don't wanna pull out the $100 + records In case anyone else gets to find them ( crate digger rule no 4080)
Yeah... I peeped that Ryo Kawasaki joint down there.
That record is ill.
Do one with DAMU THE FUDGEMUNK aka the most underrated producer ever.
dat sp1200 is dope.
“C.A.”
“All Day!”
"A lot of wack records are dope" haha
THUMBS UP FOR A 9TH WONDER EPISODE!
when worse comes to worse my records come first
6.23 - Did anybody see Michael Jackson fall Off The Wall?
At 3:38 there's a record by danish band Shu-Bi-Dua! Japanese pressing? Doubt it.
10:28 or 11:23 - anyone notice the Mayer Hawthorne heart-shaped single vinyl?
Gotta do a Mix Master Mike one. Doing one on Mixy would be and I quote "the ill shit." MMM Crate Diggers is a must!
That's probably part of it and also, a lot of these dudes are looking mostly for breaks and samples. Their main goal probably isn't to find that really rare record
Robert Moog (inventor of the highly influential Moog synthesizer) said his last name is pronounced like your saying rogue (the color). Its a common mistake.
9:54 NOTHING HILL GATE, THAT WHERE I DIG FOR RECORDS GREAT PLACE
Tommy James and the Shondells is a dollar record....i found that record about 4 or 5 years ago.
CA ALL DAY
