this is an amazing guide to building this keyboard, I have done everything said in this video and my keyboard has turned out amazing and it was very easy!
If you put silicon dampening or moldable eraser rubber material in the bottom of the case instead of the foam you would even get a much deeper and better sounding keyboard! But good job on what you've done so far!
Man, that was clean thock on a budget! Btw, i have the same keyboard like yours but, the sound wws completely different. Did i just made a mistake while modding the keyboard?
Thanks for the vid. One question, do you think this keyboard can have interference issues with cherry keycaps? I've heard that it is a thing w north facing led/switches
would it be possible to add a daughter board inside the keyboard? I really want it because its cheap and already very nice because it has preclipped stabs, etc etc but I want a wired mode because i play a lot of rythm games :'l
if you look at the PCB it looks like the bluetooth transmitter is soldered on there. all you have for wires is the two from the battery compartment - so tldr, i highly doubt it's possible. i did a little searching on google and reddit and they seem to agree. which is really sad bc this is the exact same issue i have with it, it's perfect otherwise!
@@willtogs right, and they're way more expensive which is sad. the other thing that kind of dissuades me is the janky firmware/software situation with these
Just built the tester84 out myself but used some XDA profile caps to avoid interference! Do you find yourself experiencing any with the cherry’s in this build??? Would love to use some cherry on mine 😅
It will still have interference if you use thick keycaps like GMK for example. If you use other clone keycaps or perhaps Akko keycaps then interference is not an issue.
You should try and review the Tecsee brand switches sometime, I’m having trouble decided between the Ruby’s, diamond linears, and ice candies. I heard the ice candies were basically just aqua kings for half the price. Anyway it looks like they have great switches and most are factory lubed and come into about 50-60 cents a switch. Good quality low price
@@khoinguyen-cc3mo unless you're planning to use cherry profiled keycaps, I suggest buying Gateron Milky Yellow Pros, other than that, I'd say that's going to be a good build. Good luck!
Wait, are you using cherry profile on a north facing board? Does the KTT Kang whites help with interference? That's insane for the price if it does, cuz I have the same exact keyboard and I want a little poppier thock
@@renztrojillo I have noticed that the interference only show up clearly most when you use thick Cherry profile keycaps like GMK or any keycaps that has thickness of 1.5mm. Other than that, any clone keycaps that has the thickness around 1.2 - 1.3mm won't have much issue with interference -> combine that with the long stem of the Kang White and you don't have to worry much about Cherry profile interference. Alternatively, Akko's Cherry profile keycaps will suit well with Kang White too. As they don't thick as much as GMK and Akko does have a lot of North-facing prebuilt keyboards that use Cherry profile keycaps. Hoped this help you :D.

Can you do a sound test for the ktt red wine using this board? Want to know the differences between the ktt red wine and the ktt white switches
Hello, have you bought the redwines or kang whites? If you did, what's the difference in sound? Are they deep or loud
how do you fix the rattle stabs pls tell me
8:20 Why need to cut off ?
tips on lubing switches. i tries lubing my durock plate mount switches today and i fail horribly the stabs would not come back up at all and stay down
When you added the PE foam and made holes for the switches did you poke all the way through or just through the PE foam?
You should dig a plate hole on the right of the spacebar right on the top of the screw hole will have a better spacebar sound
so where are people actually getting this board for $12 from?
Nice video!
Hey! Very nice build! Could you please say where you got the keyboard kit for so cheap? Thank you!
Wow, I also use the same stab mods and KTT kang whites but mine sounds poppy. Maybe it's the ABS keycaps and no mods to the case.
Can this keyboard be connected by wire?
Thockiest budget ever 😍
fav budget so far 😍
Which clip sounds closer to the real (and actual) sound of the modded keyboard? The clip using your blue yeti or the one using your iphone 12 pro max?
can u gaming on that board
where did u buy the tester 68 kit?

does ktt kang white have north facing interferences on the keycaps?
How did you make the large keys less mushy?
Thanks for the vid. One question, do you think this keyboard can have interference issues with cherry keycaps? I've heard that it is a thing w north facing led/switches
what's the japanese keycaps that you have when you did the stab testing?
where'd you buy the switches
No interference with cherry profile? Since its north facing.
It has long pole stems but the interference can happen if your keycaps is too thick or the switch has normal stems (only for north facing board)
how did you connect it via bluetooth?
great video
ktt kang white or gateron yellow ks3x47?
nice vid ^^ can u give the link for the products :0?
Is it south facing? Or is the cherry keycaps somehow fit fine with ktt switches even if north faced?
If xda profile+kang white+ciy 68, thocky or clacky brow?
i think it would be clacky. I use kang white in my tester 68 and it results in poppy sound.
where did you buy the keycaps because I wanna buy it
