this is the only place i can see the spring length difference between them, i was going to buy all of them (already got a strawberry and a grapefruit) to open them up so you saved me some money and time. thanks
Nicely done! Definitely better to hear A/B right next to each other, vs playing 15+ second of each that many do. I used peach and rose previously. Sounds great for their price. Testing Sea Salt in newly ordered Q2 to step up from plastic housing and lack of gasket mounting. Excited to see how it improves the typing experience. Especially when your field of work is 90% typing, it's nice to have something which feels good to type with.
Thank you!!! Ooo I think sea salt is just a recolour of peach if I remember correctly! Niceeee! I also started out with a plastic kbd67 lite and I tried a few more premium boards and they are def more comfortable to type with! I also do a lot of typing so I like to alternate between linear and tactile switches to change things up 🤣
@@keyblobs Oooooh are they really? I didn't know that, but thought they sounded very close indeed. I never tried the kbd67 lite, but have heard good things about it! What do you currently use as your main board btw? And I'm curious which lubing method you used, because this must have taken a LOT of time to do! 😂 Kudos! 😁
I’m currently daily driving the kbd67 lite! HAHA it’s the very first board I built :D how about you?has your q2 arrived? :) I lubed the housings and stems with a brush and krytox205g0 and bag lubed the springs with 105g0! Yeah it took quite awhile to do but I just took my time and enjoyed the process haha!
Thank you! I have the strawberries on my board now and they feel so poppy! 🤤 yeah the mints are one of my favourites 😆 building a board with the cabbage tofus for my friend for the obnoxious clacky sounds 😂
I believe spring length and material makes the most difference. I also have KTT Darlings but I spring swapped them with my Kang Whites(45g, seller sells 45g instead of 60g, Idk why but maybe that's why I got them really cheap) to make the Darlings more clackier which I was achieving. The Darlings have 22mm long spring while the stock springs of Kang Whites are like 16mm or 17mm long. At some point I changed the springs to gold springs and couldn't believe that they made them deeper and muted even though they have similar length. I daily drive the KTT Darlings with shorter springs and I love the clacky sound they make at the expense of bottoming out faster, but I'm used to it by now.
Darlings are goated. I personally feel the Cabbage are pretty similar to Darlings, but they need to be lubed. I wouldn't recommend lubing your Darlings or Strawberries since they are pretty much perfect stock. I like Strawberries but they are way too muted for me.
I was going to choose the kang whites at first but I dislike the feel of progressive springs so I thought about the mints but maybe the cabbage tofu could be a great option too because of the long spring which if im not mistaken makes it not increase the force as you go down but now im not sure, If you could tell me the difference between the two it would help. Thanks!
Thank you so much for the kind comment! Sure I will! Just purchased my first set of cherry keycaps! :) just thought now SA keycaps are getting popular so it might be helpful!
hi there, I love your videos a lot, they’re really informative and calming to watch! Your space bar sounds REALLY good, is it possible to create a video on how you lube/ mod your stabilizers please? I know it’s not your typical video style tho :) Amazing videos!!
Did they change how the ktt red wine looks like? I got switches that looked like ktt darling but i remember ordering ktt red wine, i ordered another one and now i got the clear case... Im confused
hey which ones do you think have snappy returns? I have ktt cabbage tofu and ktt rose and I prefer tofu because of its long springs and snappy return. I just hate that ktt rose become too heavy when bottoming out.
the Ktt mint feels really smooth in a way that there’s no snappy feeling at all! The darlings feel slightly heavier to me and very satisfying to type violently. More of a poppy heavy feel? Compared to the strawberries. HAHA if you know what I mean.
i have been using outemu reds and outemu silver for my keyboard, i want something light yet thocky. I'm torn between KTT Rose or another switch that might be lighter, do you have any suggestion?
My favourites are the darlings and cabbage tofus cos they’re loud! The roses and strawberries are similar in a way they have a sort of mushy bottom out? And are not loud switches. The strawberries are more muted and mushier imo, which makes them sound creamier? They are also smoother stock!
@@keyblobs How would the kang white compare to the strawberry and rose, because where im from the kang white is litterally one of the cheapest switch i can get
Hey! Im looking to build my first ever mechanical keyboard, coming from a default ass membrane from microsoft. I've been looking at these switches on taobao, which ones take a bit of initial pressure to click down and which ones do you think are closer to a membrane feel for typing? Also not sure if you know about this but I plan to buy the CIY Novice 100 base for the keyboard, i assume it doesn't need soldering and I just insert the switches in right? Thanks for the video and the help should you reply!
Hey!!! Thank you for dropping by! These are all linear switches so if you’re looking for something with a click that would be tactile! For tactile personally I recommend the Ktt waveriders as they aren’t too heavy and the bump is not too sharp :) hmm for membrane maybe the Ktt strawberries? They feel slightly mushy for me haha. For the Ciy novice I don’t think you need soldering! From what I have seen they use a hotswap plate :D
Which ktt switch is good for gaming and typing and has a thocky sound? Im currently using browns but idk what ktt switch is equivalent to brown. Can you suggest? Either ktt linear or tactile its fine
which switch do you think i should purchase for a deep and creamier sound? i was eyeing on the strawberries but got the kangwhites instead and felt that theyre not creamy enough for me. any suggestions?
@@keyblobsWhat if the cream yellow non pro version is out of stock where im at. I really liked the sound of the non pro cream yellows when i heard them, i wouldnt mind paying a little more for something similar
Could you please tell me or send me the link of the mouse mat you use? Very nice video, great job. What is you favourite and best sounding switch in your opinion? Thank you.
Hey!! Thank you so much for your kind comment! I don’t have the exact shop anymore but it’s something like this: a.aliexpress.com/_mLOF0DS My fav switch are the KTT darlings! Followed by the cabbage tofus and the mints :D
when doing sound test I suggest not puttinv a PE foam on the pcb, as you can tell it will really make the switches sound alike. Even other brand of switches, that's the stigma of using PE foams. If you want to capture the switches real sound either you use case foam, or only plate foam, or foamless is the way to go.
this is the only place i can see the spring length difference between them, i was going to buy all of them (already got a strawberry and a grapefruit) to open them up so you saved me some money and time. thanks
Thank you!! Glad this video was of help :)
Doings gods work here! Really appreciate the effort of putting so many switches in and out

why is the strawberry so muted here 💀
mine is just like any other linear that i have
Yeah mine sounded really muted!
hi may i know which one is the most creamiest? i dont like thocky sound

Not too familiar with sound profiles yet but creamy is my favourite. Can you give me a ranking of these switches creamiest to least creamy?

which one would you recommend for my acr pro 75 i like creamy switches i was thinking maybe ktt mint or darling
If you want a creamy switch I think the mints! Darlings are clackier and snappier :)
Which tactile has the best typing feel?
