- I've never been much of a Green Day fan, so I've always kind of overlooked Mike Dirnt as a bass player... but my god, he's an absolute beast!!
Got an absolutely cracking tone from my Spector Forte, combined with my Aurora coated strings!
I'm using their white coated 45-105 set, available in the UK exclusively through graingerguitarparts.com
Thanks for watching!
the stuff that Mike added to a bunch of power chords is a masterclass!
Exactly dude!! He should be mixed way higher in the songs!!
Great bass line. That mid section is hypnotic. Great cover!
That section is a bloody workout!! 🥵
Thanks, dude!! 🥰
Great Bridge !!! Greetings from São Paulo, Brasil
Thanks!! 🤘😎🤘
This is sick! You should probably join a Punk band… 👀
Thank you so much, brother!!
Cracking tone is exactly right. Fantastic cover!
Thanks, dude!! 🤘😎🤘
Yooooo I started using thinner picks like you suggested and IT WORKS
Glad to be of service, bro!! 🤘😎🤘

Well, that was just awesome af!!... Bro, you got groove, man...
Thanks, bro!! 🤘😎🤘
Great playing and awesome groove! That bass break in the middle has always reminded me of the bassline in The Cure's "Killing an Arab."
Nice job!
Thanks man!
Bloody superb job, dude!! 😍😍
Thanks, man!!
this is so good
Thanks, bro!! Really appreciate it, man! 🤘😎🤘
nailed it.
Thanks, man!!
Reallly nice job man, this bassline is so hard for me, my arm and hand gets so tired and cramped and I can't complete the song
Thanks, dude!! I had a pretty hard time getting through that middle section without cramping up, too!
Love how you incorporated your basses in your home decor. Awesome art pieces, them basses! :)
I have the wife to thank for that! She's amazing!
This was so enjoyable to watch. Plus, the tone on that bass was 🔥
Great job! 👍
Thanks, dude! 🤘😎🤘
mike always has those sick hammer ons and pull offs!
killer tone and stage presence
Thanks, mate!!
Great stuff!
Cheers, mate!!!
Hahah you’re just straight jamming, brethren! Keep having fun.
Absolutely!! Thank you!!
Insanely underrated video bro amazing
Thank you so much, brother!!
I really did enjoy the cover and you really do remind of someone.
This is one of my favorite songs by Green Day and that bass line looks very complicated.
Thank you so much, dude!!
@@SpindleyBass your most certianly welcome.
For some reason this was in my recommended videos. Great job tho! Mike Dirnt would be proud. U should do Stuck With Me or Panic Song next.
Nice played mate but you need a simple Fender P-bass for such style of music and don’t forget to cut your mids if you play with pick! You guitar tone is so wide and thick i wound rather see a Mudvayne cover with that one
Thanks, bro!.. I did actually cut my mids slightly for this one, but the Spector sounds bloody huge! 🤣
... and you wouldn't catch me dead with a P Bass! 😅😉
This dude DEFINITELY lives with his girlfriend lol!
Legit great cover though!
Haha!! It's quite obvious, isn't it?! 😅
Thank you so much, dude! 🤘😎🤘
@SpindleyBass Lol! Just watched some more of your videos. GREAT variety, and ALL played well brother! Music saves 🤟
@@CaptainKirkDiggler thank you so much, mate!.. I really appreciate that, man!
What's your recording set up? You get such a nice upper midrange "snap" that reminds of a demeter preamp.
Thanks, dude!.. I don't use any kind of preamp or cab sim, at all... I just run my bass direct, and use the on-board Controls to shape my tone! 🤘😎🤘
And he looks EXACTLY like Mike Dirnt :p
😅😅😅
Great playing,,,,he's bass lines were very influenced,,by BRUCE FOXTON,,of THE JAM,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,IMO!
Thanks, dude!!... and yeah, absolutely!! 🤘😎🤘
