As a child, I prayed for my Daddy to be healed from muscular dystrophy. I knew I had the faith, but the Lord said no. It took me until I was in my 30's to realize, Daddy touched so many lives, and it was for God's glory. Daddy understood, took me years & tears to understand. God is good!

Interesting thoughts on a complex topic. The other side of the coin is Jesus's own words...
    Mark 16:17-18
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
The last section reads, and they will recover. Not they might recover, or possibly recover, but WILL recover.
And yet we are faced with this perplexing dichotomy - many of us have fervently prayed and laid on of hands, but not seen the healing come (yet). Naturally, this makes us question why?
My own conviction is that as believers in Christ, we should take every opportunity to pray for the sick/unwell and lay on of hands. Perhaps the healing may not take place in the manner we envisioned, but one thing we can be sure of is if we don't take the initiative to pray, the healing is far more unlikely to take place.

      Gods Word is true.
Let God be true and every man a liar. Romans 3:4
That would include all men even those calling themselves ministers.
Psalm 146:3 says don't trust anyone.
      Only God is true.
The Bible ignorant are easy prey for those who speak against the Holy Bible.
      God Heals the sick.
Comparing Paul's thorn in the flesh to Cod healing the
sick is not compatible to scripture.

I know it is so hard to sometimes to understand why God doesn’t heal our family, friends and loved ones. It is hard to explain. One thing I try to focus on when I have experienced prayers not being answered to heal a friend or loved one is that Jesus humbled himself to become a man ( the Bible says Jesus is the image of the invisible God, Colossians 1:15-21).
Jesus suffered an unimaginable death by extreme torture, embarrassment and death.
The love he has for us to do such a thing is just inconceivable to me. Jesus went through this great suffering so when we suffer try to remember this. Jesus gave it all. Amen, praise to our Lord Jesus Christ.

When it comes to the guy working in Corrections, I feel your pain. I have 20 plus years working in Corrections, if you can try to find a new position within the prison or jail that you work in. I did 15 years in uniform, and I lucked out and got a great non-custody job. I'm not saying that you can just go get one but if the staff shortages are anything like we have where I am I understand why you don't want to quit. It's not easy to walk away from your prison family. Pray about this and look for another option before you resign, of course that's just one man's opinion.

As hard as it is because Jesus won't heal me either but if you think about it we all get healed. Here He can heal us and then in heaven when we die or just in heaven when we die. We are healed in heaven.

For toddler or anyone believing in healing ministry, and those not; GOD's will is primary, I suggest praying FOR his perfect will; ; he MAY HAVE A MINISTRY FOR HER IN SPEECH IMPEDIMENT's LIVES.

2 Corinthians chapter 12 Paul asked God to remove his “thorn in the flesh,” and it appears that God said no because it was good for him to have that thorn.
If Paul’s thorn was sickness and this interpretation of scripture is correct, one could say that God uses sickness to teach us something, and healing is not always God’s will, even if we have faith
