    More Marshall please! As he was speaking today, I kept thinking two words - succinct wisdom.

    Wow guys I needed this.been going to a new church with 40 people instead of 400 and I've been feeling so much guilt about choosing another church but I feel way more at home and connected at the smaller one. It feels more about God less about donations. Thank you thank you. Literally chose this one today and if it isn't God coming through idk what is. ❤🎉

    Everyone knows I always have the oddball comments….but…. The first thing I noticed today was how healthy Granger looks! His color, smile and energy just all display wellness. We all know that comes from the inside. So happy for him.

    I was born again July 2021 and it's so hard to find a GOOD church who teach sound doctrine and disciple their members. It's not easy at all. I went to a church for a year and told so many people (even the Pastor and his wife) that I'm isolated because I dont know any Christians...I'm a now 49 yr old woman...never married no kids....I don't seem to fit in. I made many efforts and went to home Bible study as well as other events. I'm on fire for Jesus and personally I have experienced lukewarm church. It's like a social gathering.

    Thank you for this. 32 isn't old. I swore I'd be married with kids by 25. At 32. Single since almost 25. I get this. But I have been growing with God and working on me. At 25 I'm SO GLAD I wasn't then who I am now. God will bring me what I need when it's right and if not I got him till then 🙏

    This was one of my favorite podcasts yet! I didn’t grow up in church, but joined a “bigger” one in my early twenties. Never once interacted with the pastor, he was like a celebrity almost. I did enjoy his sermons but never connected with ANY ONE in that church. I thought I enjoyed that, since I was an introvert anyway. I also was never consistent in going. Probably every other weekend. Once I moved to north DFW about a year ago, I joined a smaller local church here. It is EVERYTHING you and Marshall described, the pastor came up to me the first several times I came, I was shocked but honored at the same time! The members made a huge effort to introduce themselves and thank me for coming. They invited to their house church. This was vastly different from the “mega church” I attended for ten years. Now that I’ve joined a house church, I feel like I’ve made lifetime friends, and we all have Jesus in common! I go every single Sunday, and consider myself a “member” (we are fairly new so don’t have strict guidelines for membership yet) I am thankful every day I found a church like the one you guys talked about in this episode, and I encourage everyone reading this, if you aren’t in a church where the pastor personally knows you and you know/interact/gather with other members, find a smaller church! It is worth it!

      @@2byoung I have to agree with everything you said. I start my Sunday's with Amber and my Wednesday's with Chad and of course Monday morning's with Granger. Today I started with Granger but had to do some stuff so didn't get back around to finishing until tonight.

    I just bought your book, and I kind of wish I was hearing you read it. It would just set the tone. But I love it so far, my 9 year old said are you crying mom. I said yes and then a few pages later I’m laughing. You did great, and also I’m trying to take breaks in reading so that way I don’t finish it in one day. Thank you for opening up to all of us. God bless you all. #LivLikeRiv🎈

    Gods Blessings in your new life. Love these videos to live in Christ. As an Introvert I would find too many people speaking to me overwhelming. Not everyone comes to church for socialization, which is hard for introverts. They come for the word of God..

    Awesome episode today, definitely need more Marshall. The church I attend in Myrtle Beach we are in my opinion a more traditional Baptist church, we have Sunday School(all ages) in the morning before morning service, we have a Sunday evening service and a Wednesday night service. It is an active and involved church and I look forward when I can finally be there full-time.

    Really enjoyed your podcast with your pastor today. Please consider having Pastor Marshall back on your podcast. As you spoke about knowing your pastor & him knowing you. This is why I left the church, I wasn't being fed from the messages, but also the pastor made me uncomfortable. He didn't make any attempt to know his small flock.

Because of the heat, my old car electric windows not going out and my blower fan fo ac and heat for this winter not winter that is not working, I was not cooling down and my magnesium and potassium below low normal. I'm still not 100%. I need some help. I. 64, I live alone. Thank you if anyone can.

    Hey granger, my name is Mitchell I love your podcast and music. Basically my girlfriend is going to college next year for a minimum of 4 years, I know I shouldn’t be worried about it now but it’s hard for me to know she will leave next summer for college that’s a few states away. We put god first and want to get married in the future after she’s out of college. My question for you is what’s your advice on this situation. I’m scared we will drift apart. I don’t know how I can handle not seeing her for super long periods of time.

    My Christian church teaches all the kids about tongues and I remember being little and then seeing who in the class "can do it" at that age I am glad they introduced it but I do also feel like it was for connection more than the actual act

    What if you go to the pastor and want a meeting for them to get to know you and you need help with a situation spiritually. They say here go to this deacon or other person that is closer in your area and the pastor never gets to know you???

    • @bowed305
      @bowed305 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like you need to find another place to go, or maybe before you do that, explain your feelings to this deacon and ask why you can't have a an actual conversation with the pastor. It might be an issue of trying to delegate because the pastor is very busy, but if the pastor is too busy to speak with folks when they need to speak with him, then his plate is too full and things need to change.
