Why does this keep happening? Why is there such dislike among English educated elites towards the Hindus. Their sufferings are minimised and their flaws magnified. As a matter of disclosure - I do not have any ill will towards any other community, I really don’t. But I can’t keep taking constant abuses towards my identity either.
In the minds of Indian intellectuals (especially Hindu), the most important thing is to maintain communal harmony in India. To do that, if truth needs to be suppressed, then so be it. If lies need to be told , then so be it. If Hindus need to be branded as fascists and be made guilty of their very existence, then so be it. In their minds, there is nothing morally wrong in doing so as this is all for the greater good of maintaining communal harmony and to protect the Muslim minority in India. For them, Hindus are more than 80 percent of the population, so there is no harm in either constantly demonizing the community as a whole, or vilifying the religion itself. They couldn't of course be bothered by the fact that that history tells a different story.
