I am watching this video, again. And I still chuckle when you 'swish, swish, swish' the inside lining to clean it. You rock on, GF. That is the way to do it. No one has time to mess around. You do you!! BTW, love your videos, keep up the great info and entertainment.
I've been sewing since I was 12 - now 28 - I've never put a zipper under my sewing foot before because I was always so intimidated but I just made the most adorable zipper sandwich bags thanks to you!!!!!!!!!! 😁😁😁 I wish I could add a picture! I'm so proud of myself! Lol Now I'm a zipper sewing fool! 🤣 Ive made three already 🤦🏼♀️🥰
I have watched this video many times, and every time you run down examples of stuff to put in the bags I crack up! 🤣 "You know what I mean!" 😂😂😂 Thank you so much for the tutorial and the laugh! 😊❤️
I have watched this video many times, and FINALLY purchased the pattern!! My neice is going to Disneyland in a few weeks and this will be perfect with the Disney fabric I got!! can't wait!!
Loved this video. You showed and explained everything from materials needed to how to sew the actual item. Some people only show the materials and then show us a finished product, but they forget to show how to sew the item. Not very helpful when they do that, especially for beginners. You do a great job - congrats. Will be watching more of your videos soon.
I may be finding this a year after it posted but i’m finding it at the right time! After this rough year our family decided we would make christmas presents and I wanted mine to be something that was usable all the time so a big thank you i have made my first one and on to lots more!! Also thanks for teaching an old sewer a new trick with the clips my pins have been stored away.
Hi Jess, I’m from Maine! You are such a natural teacher. Easy instructions to follow. Thank you so much for teaching us how to make these simple easy snack bags. This is the way to go! Love it! Will be making at least 30 + for my little nieces and nephews. Even for my 45 year old daughter to take to work! Keep teaching! 😍👍
In this video you say the right side of the PUL is the shiny side. In your two color snack bag video you say the other side! I love your videos! You are so honest and funny and informative!
I’m so glad you mentioned this! I’ve been so confused about PUL, but after reaching out to my retailer it turns out they’re BOTH the right side 🤯, it just depends how you want to use them! I’ve been using the shiny side as the right side for things that could stain (berry bags, for example) and the fabric side as the right side in other cases.
Great zipper/bag instructions. Great step by step work through. I'm still at the point of going step by step via TH-cam for bag/zipper tutorials. Yours is by far the best. "Zippered pouch" is the search term I use when I need a video. Now it will be reusable smack bag. Thanks again. Appreciate your dedication to quality videos.
You are absolutely wonderful. And your teachings are very detailed. by those that do not speak english just watching you ..... we can do it. THANK YOU A MILLION.
I'm so happy!! I made my first zipper bag today!! I made it big enough that I could put my zipper tape stuff in it. I love your instructions so much! Thank you.
My kids are going crazy over that show so much, love that bag..... I need that fabric in my life these bags are awesome gifts for new moms. And it’s so easy to use for anything!
Thank you for this video tutorial - for introducing me to PUL. My husband's cousin's son is allergic to quite a bit of food, especially nuts, so he has to bring home lunch every day. They will be visiting us during the summer, so I'll be making the Sandwich Bags along with the Snack Bags especially for him. I like how Boxing the Corners helps the bag to stand up so they can concentrate on loading the bag. I'm a visual learner so I appreciate this.
I love your tutorials. I'm relatively new to sewing and I've been hesitant to try anything too difficult but your whole attitude & how well you explain everything really gives me the confidence to try other things! Very inspiring 😊
LOVE your tutorials. Very detailed, clear, and understandable. Really appreciate the Zoom on the actual sewing, etc..., the clarity and angle is remarkable.
Another winner! Your fabric is just simply the best! I cannot see the fabrics matching up every time, but in the end they are better than i could have imagined. Thank you!
omg.. you are my stranger thing this week.. I am so gonna make this. and after watching this video- you are so detailed.. I love all the little hints like starting to sew one direction on the quilt so not to wrinkle fabric.. i was would be so upset if my fabric was wrinkled and I didn't know why.. good job girl.. love it.
I made 2 snack bags with vinyl bottoms, absolute begginer so I'm extremely happy 😊 love your channel and Instagram so interesting to see your projects and your very easy to listen too in the tutorials🥰
I am so glad I found you. You have inspired me so much on making things other than masks. I have watched alot of your videos and have made numerous items from your videos. THANK YOU!!! You are such an inspiration and you explain everything so well!
New to sewing.. just made my first quilt top.. dont have the proper sewing machine to do the quilting, so I'll move on to some small things.. I'm so glad I found your channel...
When you said just pop them in there about the Disney waffles I died lol I’d do the same thing! Lol that’s actually why I’m watching this to begin so i can make them for our trip to Disney in March 😂😂😂😂
Thanks for this awesome pattern and tutorial. This is such an easy and quick sew. I have a walking foot but was to lazy to put it on so I used my roller foot and it worked like a charm. These snack bags are as addicting to make as the snacks are to eat haha
NEWBIE here and so happy I found your videos. Quickly becoming one of my favorites. Thank you, for all the tips!! oh and extra thank you for the great lighting Lol you have no idea how much it helps.
Just made my first bag. Did not have all the correct supplies but it will make a good little pouch for something! I did have trouble with the zipper, I think a longer one would work better. Now to practice...and make some more.
Thank you! I love your videos, they are easy to follow and your enthusiasm for sewing is contagious... I thought it was just me that enjoy it that much!
OMG! Hi there, I just found you 2 days ago and have very blood shot eyes from binge watching🥴. Totally subscribed. I’ve been just getting into sewing, my history is about 6th grade knowledge from home-ec. Many many many years ago. I don’t think it’s even a class anymore! Thank you for, in my opinion taking the extra steps in your explanations. I’ve watched many and understand most (I’m not clueless ☺️) but for whatever the reason I connect to your explaining. You’re so fun and such a pleasure. I’m going to for sure attempt this project this weekend. Zippers scare me. But first the market bag you recently showed. If I knew your mother, I would steal if from her after she took it from you. Now, to convince my hubby to use this bag for his nuts🤔. TFS ~Phyllis ❤️❤️
Jess OklaRoots hi Jess, I just finished my market bag! It’s awesome. I didn’t box bottom because I was to excited to be done. Let me just say, bonjour to French seam. I like that better than trying to insert and flipping out and sewing 3 inch blah blah blah. Maybe when I’m better but for me a bag is a bag😀. Thanks again, luv your channel. And yes, I know I should have put this on that video but my tech skills are still a work in progress🥴 ❤️Phyllis

I’m an experienced quilter. But I thought I’d go a bit out of my comfort zone and try this. Your directions are great! However, I am finding working with the PUL fabric incredibly difficult. Won’t move through my machine at all. Closing the bottom at the end was a nightmare. I don’t know about others but some tips about how you are managing the PUL don’t doesn’t pull, distort, or plain not love through the machine, would be very very helpful thank you 🙏!
Cut List:

How much do you sell these for? Did you ever do the tutorial for the id part?
Hello! Would it be possible to pass the measurements also in cm? Thanks.
Hi Jess I had a question. did you ever put up a video for the ID holder? I would love to see what you did and what material your used. Thanks
