I was the driver of that train from Leeds to Liverpool Lime Street, it was Nova 1 unit 802209 working as 9M24, It originated at Newcastle at 11.42. Great video!

I'm always travelling these First Class Newcastle to Liverpool every 6 weeks. The First Class product is poor as at the most you'll get a biscuit and a cup of tea on a 3 hour journey. Were as on LNER an hour and a half gets you a full meal (Edinburgh to Newcastle). I think they need to rethink the idea of First Class on these services. The prices are not good value as well considering what you get in First.

Yeah I don't usually opt for first class unless it's for TH-cam or Avanti and LNER. Fair points Daniel 🙂

Good to see you're back, did you have a good cruise? Will you be posting anything else from it? As someone else has pointed out this seemed to be a bit rushed. You departed from Platform 16 not 17, 17 is the bay platform used for Nottingham and local services. You spoke about the last stop being Newton-le-Willows whilst screening Lea Green, more care needed :)

No I'm rather fond of the iets to be honest however they're not fit for 5 hour journeys
