World according to a German

  • I had a lot of fun making the "Europe according to a German" video, so I decided to make a world edition! Again, don't take this seriously, it's just for fun.
    License CC-BY-SA creativecommons.org/licenses/b...
EDIT: Ugh, not again, of course someone had to make a stupid copyshite claim AGAIN, probably some crappy band who re-recorded the 5th symphony as well and tries to make profit out of non-original work... SHAME ON THEM! The music I used is PUBLIC DOMAIN, it's Beethoven's 5th symphony and he's long enough dead to make the composition PD. That also applies to the recording which was released by MusOpen as PD: musopen.org/music/piece/113 . So TH-cam should stop with those stupid automatic "Content Matches" for re-recorded PD music.
    EDIT2: Issue apparently resolved again!
EDIT3: Yippie! Now some other lazy copycat of classical music has made a false copyright claim. I can't believe it...
EDIT4: Resolved again for now, let's see how many claims I can stack up on a single video...
EDIT5: I lost count on how many new claims I got again. You know what - fuck that and take your lousy few cents per click for work you haven't done, you cancerous insatiable money grabbers

Rafael Hubbard What exactly does that flag do for us back here on Earth? It's not like it gives us ownership of the moon, or even do anything. It was just to prove a point to the USSR, which collapsed in on itself 40 years later anyways.
Besides, NASA has said themselves that the flag has been bleached white by the sun by now.

This is actually pretty funny! I don't get why people take this so seriously... I'm German and to be honest - it hits a lot of the stereotypes very well. Maybe it should include the word stereotype in the title so that everyone gets it. I have to say, this made me chuckle several times.

Knowing where something is has no bearing or useful information outside of travel. But we have GPS. Knowing about what is within a border is more important than knowing where that border lies. I do not see why people are so up-in-arms over the American lack of geographical knowledge. You've memorized a map. What does that say about your intelligence? That you are good at memorizing maps.

    • @J0HN5AW
      @J0HN5AW 10 ปีที่แล้ว

***** I see your point, but I know a lot of people, including adult relatives, who don't know the Sun doesn't orbit the Earth. I joked on Facebook about a security guard at work asking me if the moon is closer to the Earth than the Sun, but I deleted my joke because my wife thought it was rude of me to make fun of that. So, I'm surrounded by people who think the Earth is 6,000 years old, that dinosaurs lived with humans and were on a boat 4,000 years ago. I don't expect everyone to know where all the countries are. I merely made a joke that Germans are good at geography. Hell, a lot of Americans don't even know where the Atlantic and Pacific oceans are and don't even know where their state is on a map. You said, "Knowing where something is has no bearing or useful information outside of travel." Seriously?! Remember when Russia invaded Georgia over South Ossetia? Some of my fellow Georgians (USA) literally thought Russia invaded the USA! I am not kidding you! There are Americans who don't know that New Mexico is part of the USA. Is it too much to expect adults to at least know the basic layout of the continents and know the location of major nations on the planet they live on? Is it silly of me to expect my fellow Americans to at least know where on a map or globe their house is located without using an app? A Pentecostal preacher acquaintance of mine thought I was playing games with him when I corrected him after he said that Mexico is in South America. Ugh! I'm amused that you don't see the humor in me saying that Germans know geography.

What about this would you concider humor? believe me, I can laugh a LOT at German accents and Hitler jokes and everything - no problem. But when he made the video foolishly saying "likeGermans think things are", it's nothing but insulting. You would be *just as pissed* when I showed you videos demonstrating terms like "the axis of evil" .. the *AXIS OF EVIL*? wtf guys? xD
      You are being ignorant.
"Germans aren't really well known for their humor sense so expect some criticism."
Where do you take that from? You happend across Germans? ok then, how many? 10?
You are working with clishees and expectations that... came out of nothing.
Sir, you are a fool. You should think about what yu're saying before exhausting bullshit into the internet. Because these videos just don't go anywhere.
Just to demonstrate the extremes of clishees:
Americans think: Axis of Evil involves Germany and China. Americans think Hitler is still at power. Americans don't know when WW2 started/ended. Americans are dumb. Americans are racist. American itself has the highest depth in the entire world (that one is actually correct .__.). America has engaged into more wars than any other country in the world (damn, right again -.-) America is the unhealthiest country on the globe (nope if it wasn't for the Mexicans though, we would be right), Americans (and this one is actually true) have very little awareness of how they are seen in the world.

I guess its hard to please every sensitive soul on the internet without touching a nerve. I really don't care what America thinks, I live here as a foreigner for 12 years and I see the stupidity from outside the bubble.
See unlike you, I don't take things to heart and get offended for something as miniscule as a youtube video, or a comment and you know why? because it's comedy, not facts, meaning you take this with a grain of salt, nothing more, no need to wet your diaper. I also forgot to include that where I'm part German myself with Some Croatian and Italian. One can say whatever they want about any of those countries, and guess what? I won't care, cheers. :)

      DJ Rabbeats,
The word in English is "cliches". A common cliche would be a German with a superiority complex (you know, that whole superior intelligence, master race stuff). So, it's super funny when a little German jerk mocks Americans for being uneducated and he's too stupid to realize that the video he just watched, "World according to a German", was not made by an American, but in fact by a GERMAN! (WTF, It's right there in the title?!)
Americans are actually well educated in both history and geography. That's why there are so many American soldiers in Germany to keep you fun-loving Germans from changing borders and destroying Europe a third time. Leave the world ruling to us, we didn't need to destroy Europe even once to do it.
In fairness, Germany may no longer be a globally powerful country, as it once was, but it is still the top country in Europe. However, your competition is Greece, Estonia, Cyprus, Lithuania, etc. so don't boast too loudly about being #1. That's sort of like boasting that you didn't pee in your pants at all today.

All kinds of different stereotypes of the American states. xD It's easy to forget that each state is like its own mini-country with its own culture along with the culture of the entire country.

Jay Rumas Well the same goes for germany and probably for every other country as well. That's what makes stereotypes so damn funny! :D

For us is the whole usa the same. Just texas (full of cowboys), california (full of hippies) and the nothern part where our settlers were r diffrent.
And yeah in germany r a lot of diffrent cultures because germany is united since 1871...before that it was divided in ~35 diffrent kingdoms (each one with own accent and culture)
      Greetings from Germany :D

Kamden Kenerly Huns were Turkic. How do we know it ? ? By looking at their names.
Let's consider the names of Atilla's sons
these are Ellac, Erp, Eitil, Ernakh, Dengizich.
      All these are turkic names.

Australia actually has many powerful rocket engines beneath it. That was how it lifted out of the Middle East/Europe region millions of years ago. Australia tried to fly around the world but ran out of fuel so here it is.
