    I am tired just watching them. I do so much enjoy watching them perform this dance. When I was in the Philippines visiting the local HS during Philippines national holiday, gave a wonderful performance.

    The announcer is mistaken, the national dance of the Philippines is not tinikling, it's Carinosa.

    It's easy to look at. It's fast paced but in the Muslim version of the Tinikling, the "princess" has to stand in those bamboos, one in each, while it's being lifted up to those men's shoulders and they'll walk around.

      Rebelle Jean Black you are referring to Singkil not tinikling

    • @ProximaCentauri88
      @ProximaCentauri88 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      They are not versions of the same dance. Tinikling and Singkil are different dances. Also, there is NO such thing as Muslim version nor Muslim dance in the Philippines. Maranaos had been dancing Singkil even befofe the arrival of Muslim missionaries.

      religion is totally different from culture. it should be “Maranao dance” or “Singkil” not Muslim.
