I love that tinikling dance; how I missed these danced on my younger years that I used to dance with it...but this is the best tinikling dance I've ever seen they have a good collaboration on that team work. well done.............
One of the best performance by this group of dancers,..I like it and enjoy every moment of their show. Their tinikling dances is very unique. They created very beautiful choreography in addition to the Philippine folk dance. Thank you for sharing /posting .
One of the best Tinikling dances I've seen. Unique choreography, graceful dancers, good acting. This group has showmanship. I like the ballet elements for a twist. The costumes look elegant on stage. All the dancers look like they are really enjoying the dance, evident on their faces. Keep up the good work! Thanks for posting :)
i have watched this maybe over a hundred times! it is still the best performance of the Tinikling that I have seen.... hope the troupe members are doing well, and keeping safe :-)

Bravo! This is the best presentation of the tinikling that I've seen. The chorography, the dancers with their lovely ballet-like extensions, the choral work and the overall presentation was just wonderful. The only disappointment is that the live sound ended before the action ended. I am sorry that I did not know about their 2005 US tour. I live in Florida. I hope there is a next time. Meanwhile, is there a DVD of the show that can buy? Thank you for sharing. Victor Sim

I am curious : are the lyrics an original part of the song or just created by this theater-Group ? Ist the first time I heared someone sing to this particular tune and i like it alot :D
The song is original from Leyte and is found in a dissertation of one graduate student. Tinikling originated from Leyte so it could be that there was a song accompanying the dance, We are lucky to have been given the authority to use the song and perform it.

Sumobra yata yong pag modify nila sa sayaw na Tinikling. Kung hindi lang sa tugtog at kawayan di ko malalaman na tinikling yong sinasayaw nila. Nawala yata yong tunay na essence sa sayaw na tinikling. Pati yong costume, parang hindi angkop sa sayaw, masyadong makulay, at mga kulay na ginagamit sa sayaw na Singki, at ang tabas pa ng damit hindi yata yong nakikita ko sa ibang sumasayaw ng Tinikling. Dapat di nila masyadong dinadagdagan ng ibang style ang mga dance steps. Pakiramdam ko, hindi sayaw Pilipino ang nakikita ko. Ang mahirap pa, Leyta Dance Theater pa ang sumayaw kung saan dyan nag simula ang sayaw na Tinikling, at kung saan ginagaya ang kilos at galaw ng ibong tikling. Please lang kung ano yong original na sayaw, doon lang sana. wag masyadong imodify.
+Sandy Orpeza I don't think that their modifications were bad. They may have made a lot, but that's what makes their dance stand out among other Dance Companies. Modifications like these make sure that the dance still lives on as it evolves to future generations. :)
