To me, theses are some of the most magical moments of the Clash. And You Tube etc. keeps trying to take them down. Thank you for posting that. God always lives in the soul-
It’s the definition of punk. Ramones can f**k off real fast with their lame ass songs that all sound the exact same when they start. 3 chord wonders. Well, I wonder why they play such simplistic songs. 😂 Clash >>>Ramones
I love the way Joe falls backwards and obviously nearly knocks himself out cold on the drum riser at the end of ‘what’s my name’.. Paul looks round concerned a couple of times, but right at the last minute Joe recovers and launches into ‘garageland’.. absolutely priceless rock n roll 👍
All of us old punkers had an 'I can do that' moment... but we couldn't. These guys didn't push the envelope, they burned it to ashes. "Tommy Gun" was ....................
My favourite live clip. I was 12 when I seen em and truly was life changing. I was never the same, craved that sort of energy at every gig. Gutted that no other clips seem to exist from this concert. I’ve got over 50 life clash bootlegs but never seen or heard this one in full anywhere
Only band that mattered . Today's punk scene in UK is doing OK one band just arrived on the scene are called THE CHISEL check em out people won't be disappointed
@@juliettewilliams4298 err I think you’ll find Im right. You clearly have no idea what a punk looks like. Look up Johnny Rotten, Sid Vicious, Jordan, Siouxsie sioux or Erin McKlinlow. If you’re still stuck hit me up again cupcake! 😉

Joe was quite disrespectful towards the people that were helping him to be successful. He certainly wasn’t talented enough to act like a prick. He will be remembered, it won’t all be positive.
He should have been more disrespectful to that wanker Bernie Rhodes!! Never should have let him back in to managing the Clash. With Bernies AWFUL production on " Cut the crap", almost destroyed Joe and thd bands legacy. Ain't it interesting when you hear Clash MK2 bootlegs and soundboard recordings. How great some of them same songs sounded huh. Plus the wanker robbed millions out of Joe's pockets.

You know why you tube keeps trying to take it down. Because it's too British.

Because its too white that's why, not black enough
When music had a voice and energy done with a purpose and passion. Punk had a spirit that nothing has ever equalled
Brilliant. The greatest band ever.
Well, one of them. Don’t have to choose ? I mean Stranglers too
US had The Ramones. We had The Clash. We were all so lucky to be around at the same time!
USA had also Patti Smith...❤
Neither a patch on The Clash

what’s my name is my favorite song with them! Since I was a kid actually
Yes, Joe handled it quite well. Looked like he actually didn’t know his name at one point
Best 10 minutes in rock ever
❤
This is why we love them. Unforgettable.....
these guys gave 1000% every show
We need more Joe Strummers in this world ..... Unfortunately there can only be one Joe Strummer
Peak Clash. Raw as a blister. Savage as an artillery barrage.
All of us old punkers had an 'I can do that' moment... but we couldn't. These guys didn't push the envelope, they burned it to ashes.
"Tommy Gun" was ....................
They were like soldiers attacking on a battle, giving their entire life
Good comment as Joe once said 'we 're no more talented than anybody else we just try harder '.
@@electricleg207 they were more talented than most
4 songs that showed a band loving playing live a tightness and having a fucking great time .
Long live the clash .
RIP JOE
Holy cow! The Clash used to be a punk rock band?!? This is some of the greatest moments I've ever seen on a stage!

Golden moments of the history
Thankyou x
Brilliant !
Seen them twice Manchester plus the Mayfair in newcastle
By the time I saw them live, Guildford in 1980, that energy had, understandably, dissipated.
Nah, it was probably just a duff show, not many of them
They didn't play Guildford in 1980. If they did, I would have been there?
Exactly as I remember some good shit never happen again thank God we were there
Anyone needing Rock & Roll 101, send them here.

Absolute gold!!!
Loved the Clash
Um salve a toda galera dos vivos anos 80 clash uma das minhas bandas predileta xc
This was the late 70’s - ‘77 most likely
A maior de todas, como queria ter ido, a um show destes caras.
End of 77. Belle Vue, Manchester. I was there. The most fantastic gig I have ever witnessed and will ever witness.
Classic stuff

6:25. Damn joe
Ca, c'est du punk!!!Même si on n'on jamais su ce que c'était!!!!
これは最もポールが格好良かった時代。
Umm ... Fucking brilliant.
il a même un punk a cheveux long comme quoi le port de la crète est une image d'Epinal.
the first song has that familiar melancholic sound to punk, it sounds up beat but dreadful at the same time.
Sounds like one of the early Banshees songs, Make up, Break up - the opening riffs, anyway.
Guitars tuned for maximum smoke
Is that Sammy Hagar in the audience?
No guitar for joe at the early stages ?
He plays the guitar on Capital Radio
Deshake videos look so weird
Esto era la vida, ahora pura 💩
Joe Strummer true public school rebel
Voice of a generation.....I don't think so
Ah give it a rest, huh?
He may have gone to public school ,but so did George Orwell ,who like Strummer turned his back on privelidge .
Not a punk in sight!
Thus spoke someone that wasn't around in 77.

Journalist Caroline Coin who briefly managed them (and dated Paul) said they could be 'very mean' to the people who worked with/for them.
