Good tips sir. I don't burn my stove as much overnight just haven't had that many nights super cold yet. I usually just get the house heated up nicely then bury my coals at bedtime and I still have plenty the next morning. When I do burn over night I pretty much do the same thing larger pieces of the hotter burning species. Take care and be safe, Ben.

Well I will say that the thought of which wood to use only happens when I'm home. My wife sure ain't doing that haha! Merry Christmas to you as well!

Yep I agree. I can almost get my house real warm during the day and it lasts all night. Good content

Very nice! I’ve been heating primarily with wood for more than 25 years. In that time I have used 3 different stoves. It takes a while to learn a stove, but with dry seasoned wood they all work! Thanks for sharing your experiences. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Thank you! After years of messing with this stove I've picked up some things. We are a couple hours north of you along the river

When it comes to dry firewood I can tell you I've never seen a bucket of water thrown on a fire and do anything but put it out. I don't care how you slice it up in your mind, water does not burn.
