Randy the Mandy was meticulous in unwrapping the rope when feeding chipper. Can you mitigate the risk of sucking the rope into the chipper by tying off the hanging rope to the tree at ground level?

Man, as someone working on the powerline clearance end of things it's nice to see you running a bucket right on the shoulder like that.
I wouldn't worry about it as much with lower voltage pole to pole service lines but try not to run a chipper with the boom up while working near the spicy stuff. There have been lots of people that became a "safety stand-down" from incidental line contact... with the man touching the chipper or digging around in the tool box was the best path to ground.
Jacob, your little orange climbing saw sounds like it’s got a tune that’s too fat. If it’s an auto tune then it should be addressed at a Husky dealer, but if a manual adjustment then it needs to be leaned out some.

I know I told you before, Jake but it really helps. If you put a saw lanyard from your bucket harnessed to your chainsaw just in case you would drop it or something.
it can be annoying at times... but id rather fight a lanyard than lawn dart one of my expensive saws lol
Yeah, I've never had a problem with my lanyard. Getting in the way climbing or in the bucket. And it will save the saw .lawn dart LOL God bless.

My Grandson does this sort of work over in OR. I always remind him to keep his head on a swivel and always be afraid. Especially working around power lines.

Would love to see you rig limbs that almost touching an obstacle without a gcrs. We use a porta wrap and I’ve been struggling balancing limbs when swinging over stuff

Hearing that chipper running brought back lots of memories of when i was doing line clearance work for the orange trucks. Wish I'd worn hearing protection! Our chippers didn't have the controlled feed. We fed the limbs right into the blade drum that rotated at the speed of light.

Once in my life I made a choice between the trees or the ground. I choose the ground because the thought of the gardens and the grass maintained my way in a town of other men doing the same thing appealed to me. I was 5'4 and a quite stout 120 pounds. My tree houses were as high up there as I could build em!
