    I am 42 years old and have done tree removal since I was a kid "family business" and everyday my dad prayed before we started our day, sometimes the customers would join us and sometimes they would stand back not sure what to think but never had a complaint about it, I would say 99% liked it. Fun fact: squirrels can survive a fall, they can't be killed by terminal velocity. Was sitting on my deck watching videos last year, umbrella up, and a squirrel fell out of the oak above me. Landed 3 feet away from my foot.....acorns flew out of his mouth(scared the crap out of me!!!!). He didn't move for about 30 seconds and then got up and walked away. Even the babies can fall out of the nest and the mom will come and pick them up. Love the video! Have a great weekend!!

    I started working on my dad’s tree crew when I was 13 back in the mid 80’s and absolutely loved the job, he was an iron worker so heights didn’t bother him. We went on to do mostly high risk insurance jobs out of houses and wouldn’t trade that experience for the world, I know that the core crew were some of the toughest workers and men I’ve ever worked with. He climbed till he was in his early 50’s and passed it off but damn that man knew what he was doing with tree work, you did an amazing job here brother and definitely know what you’re doing.

    Hey Jake, a couple of things. First the famous last words of some climbers were "I don't normally tie in twice when..." You know anything can happen at any time. i.e. @20:52. You also know that a chainsaw can cut through a steel core flipline in a second. It doesn't take anything to throw your climb line around a couple of branches above you. A second thing is when zipping those dougs don't do an undercut. Cutmore into the collar, but not all the way off, and allow the branch to peel to hang down and settle before cutting it all the way off. That will take some energy out of the zip and you won't have the branch moving side to side on the way down. Avoiding stuff like eves and gutters.

    • @stuby2014
      @stuby2014 ปีที่แล้ว

      You must be from the UK. Reality proves it has its place. The peeling method does work. If you had actually done Douglas firs you are either cutting to much before they peel or you're taking to big of a branch in which case you should use a controlled speed line.@@edwardallen2696

    baby squirrels are always a tough dilemma. honestly if you leave the nest to the side and the babies are still okay the mother will come to get them when you guys leave. they usually have 5 or so nests in the immediate area so the babies will be fine if you leave them alone. it's just hard when you're trying to work a job and it can be a hinderance to the job to try to get them down safely.

    My hands started getting sweaty when you were at the top cutting. I hate heights but enjoy your videos.

    My legs are weak, my palms are sweating, my head is spinning, I feel nauseous and I don't think I have closed my mouth once whilst watching this video. Holy cow!
