Hello! Excellent video!!! I have a 2013 Amarok, BiTDI, I already have installed the RCD330 plus (187B) but originally, my Amarok came with a Blaupunkt simple CD player... so it had standard ISO connectors... and no Canbus communication with the radio! I had to purchase an ISO to Quadlock adaptor with Canbus simulator! Everything works perfect, only problem I have is the the hour and temperature in the radio are not correct! But my question is regarding camera installation... I have purchased a camera similar as yours, I already ordered the delay box... (I have read in forums that the 187B version doesn’t need the delay box... who knows?!) but in the back of the radio... just in my Canbus simulator... there’s a yellow RCA cable that goes to the camera, but there’s also a blue cable that says “camera”... and that is supposed to go to the “reverse light”... So... do I have to throw a line from there to the tail light... and also connect the camera (delay box) to the reverse light positive?? Regards from El Salvador!!!
I'm not 100% sure about this. I have not worked with the iso - quadlock adaptors. the camera wire in the RCD330 has a seperate little plug going in the bottom of the quadlock. I'm not sure with your canbus simulator if that has maybe already got a time delay function built in. It's very possible.
Great video! Ek het nou ook die RCD310 vervang met 'n RCD330. Ek tel nou nogsteeds die bluetooth van die ou module op. Het jy dalk enige idee waar die module sit, ek wil dit graag uit plug.

Die maklikste plek vir 'n switch of vir die lightbar? Mens kry 'n switch wat langs jou gearlever inpas en baie lyk soos die OEM switches. Volgens regulasies mag jou ekstra ligte net werk saammet jou brights en moet apart afgeskakel kan word. Ek het my lightbar se switch langs my gearleve gesit... Dink jy sal hom in een van die videos dalk kan sien.

Or why does that witness turn on I appreciate your help 🙏
So what probably happened is tha you might have switched your ignition on with the little airbag light plugged out. Because the light is part of the airbag system it will log a fault. And because the airbag system is a safety system the errors doesn't clear automatically... You'll have to get the error cleared with diagnostics software.

Hello, congratulations on the video. I have a 2014 Amarok, it is a BiTdi 180hp, with the basic CD radio. Do you know if I put that radio on mine will be a straight swap? Do I need any adaptors. My Steering wheel doesn't have switches. Thank you again.
It should be a straight plugin... 15 minute job to switch out.

More Johan Dit hang af watse prop jy agter op jou radio het, maw watse radio jy het. Die enkel spasie radio, single din, het gewoontlik 'n iso connector gehad en die double din 'n quadlock. As jy die enkel radio het gaan jy 'n adaptor nodig he en canbus simulator, tensy jy die canbus draad kan opspoor en self koppel op die prop. Hoop dit help.
Hi Willem! The original stereo, the RCD310, does not work. I get faults on the diagnostics indicating an open antenna circuit, error codes 00856 and 00821. So, I firstly checked if the antenna is plugged in the unit itself (following this video) and it is. The problem must lie somewhere else… do you know where the antenna on a 2013 Amarok is located? Should I rather buy a “real” antenna and mount it to the roof? :D
The antenna sits in the cover of your side mirrors. Mine still had two, one each side, but I know the later models only had one antenna in one of the side mirrors... I would keep it stock... just have look what the issue is regarding the antenna. I'm not sure from what year model they switched to a single antenna connection. Hope it helps
Opened both mirror skullcaps but there is nothing. I saw one can order that tipe of antenna online so I also thought it might sit in the mirrors. Someone told me the antenna sits in the rear window, do you know anything about that option?

Jy het genoem dat mens die sagteware kan opdateer- is dit dalk moontlik om aanpassings te maak soos die prentjie van die voertuig wat verskyn as die parkeer sensors aktiveer? Honestly it might be easier to just buy the camera in the description from the same supplier on aliexpress. That way the radio will be coded and you know the combination will work.
Hey Mantis. Did you get your rcd330 setup all good? I've got a 2016 Amarok and want to make the swap also. The Amarok isn't listed under compatible cars though
Ongelukkig nog nie. As ek eendag 'n nuwer amarok kry sal ek dalk 'n paar video maak oor die nuwe dash. Vir nou staan ek op 285k km en beplan om nog tot 380k km te gaan... ;-)
