I discovered your channel end 2022 and you inspired me to start canning. I remember helping my grandmother and mother doing that as in those days we had no refrigerators. I have already canned beef, chicken and pork, as well as vegetable soups. This summer I will learn to preserve vegetables and fruits. I am so thrilled to see my pantry growing, knowing that I will have food should there be no electricity. ♥️ from Belgium.

I saw this meal cooking from others and I think it may be time to do stews and other meals with meat. I don't want war, even with all that is going on, but the cycle of stupidity go on. I recommend using diced potatoes instead of rice or buckwheat. Might be cheaper and safer, because of fungus on grains, which can activate after it got cooked and cooled down, but it could be ok to eat if it’s cooked again freshly before eating.(complicated theme)

It's fascinating to see how canning is done around the world. In the US the official guidelines are only to pressure can meat. Which is interesting as canning was done for generations before pressure canners. Your meals look amazing!
I don’t think it’s regulated by law to use pressure cookers. If idiots get them on their hands those things can become bombs 💣 and I’m not exaggerating that. It’s actually only used to safe energy and time. For example cooking chickensoup in a regular pot takes 4h cooking time. In a pressure cooker it takes only 45mins. That’s a lot of time deducted that you need to have the stove running and using up precious electricity or gas. But since you have to let the pressure cooker cook down as much as possible before you can open it, it’s not completely saving 3 1/4h of time in general. If you open it to early 💥
I’m watching from South Carolina in the USA. That looks delicious. I love canning meals. It was fun to see how things are done differently in another part of the world. Thanks for sharing.

For example when I make chicken soup in a regular pot, it can take 4h of cooking time. When I use a pressure cooker the time reduces to 45mins cooking time. So far less energy needed to cook the same dish. The down side with pressure cookers are, that ppl underestimate how dangerous they can become, when not handled with caution. For example if the exhaust valve is clogged that pressure cooker can become a bomb 💣. If you don’t wait till it’s cooled down completely before opening it after cooking with it, it can become a bomb 💣 A pressure cooker isn’t a must to can food, but if handled properly it can safe energy, if not it’s just deadly 🤷🏼♀️
You don't have to wish for it. I know the times seem scary, to many, but they don't have to be. A time is coming when there will be peace on earth, but it won't be because humans get their acts together and work it out, it's because Jesus himself will bring peace and He'll reign and govern right here on earth with people like you and I and show us what real peace looks like, but he is waiting and giving those who are still looking for answers, time to find Him and trust Him. He says He won't come back until all those that will come to Him, come. In the meantime while we're waiting for Him, if you want, you can learn of Him and place your trust in Him and that will bring peace in your heart in the midst of the chaos, because you'll understand that ultimately, He is going to make everything work out. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good... He's very good. I promise!

Hi, Texas Rose, you will have to resist the “Pressure Canner Mafia” if you want to can the Old Way that is still proffered in Eastern Europe. You see we had never heard of Ball or special canners we just used common sense re ingredients and time in a water bath. Incidentally we fed our families through rationing and two world wars .. ?

Everyone says it's because pressure canning it makes the end product safer. But, if doing the European water bath that was done here is so unsafe, then why aren't Europeans dying in droves from botulism? It makes NO sense to me.

@@bigdawgz4530 They do sometimes change things. They said steam canners were not ok for decades and now they are ok again. I think it's mostly about what they have tested and proved to be safest. Doesn't mean the other methods aren't safe, just that they haven't proven it to be so, so they don't recommend it.
I canned deer meat in a water bath with no problems...when automatic pressure cookers came out I bought one and did all my chicken in pint jars for 90 minutes...stays good for years...

Just across the border in westby, same but all electric house. I am trying to get it modified for survival.
