My two cents
1. Anaesthesia is one of medicine’s best kept secrets
2. Surgery and especially neurosurgery is a long, hard mountain to climb but when you get to the peak, the views can be amazing!
3. It frankly doesn’t matter what branch/specialty you choose as long as you’re willing to give it a chance and realise that we are all pieces of a puzzle called healthcare and we all have our roles to play..
4. An anaesthetist may not earn mega bucks or fame but definitely makes a meaningful contribution to the patient journey- it’s like a tabla/drummer in an orchestra whose name the average guy in the audience may not remember but without whom the concert would have been poorer!
