Very good. It would be interesting to see a video on event by event strategy. For example, a slightly faster time on the rower can increase the suffering exponentially and is probably not worth it?
Thank you my previous video breaks down pacing advice station by station but I will be doing more videos on specific hyrox exercises. As for the rower I think you are right. It’s more important not to slip off pace and relax than push the pace hard for seconds of gain.
Thanks. Hyrox Amsterdam next weekend...couples race. I wonder if you have to bring a backpack or fannypack for gels? Water is provided in the Rox zone I belive, can you stack your gels there too? Thanks
@@woodsyworkout Thanks man. I've recently purchased the Brooks Hyperion Tempos as I believe they have a similar stack height so fingers crossed they will get the job done. Thanks again
@@jamesclark6482 no there’s water stations with water and red bull but no personal areas, you have close access to the crowd on all the runs though so I have people hand me water and fuel etc
great vid Woodsy, really helpful info especially around the warmup zone and nutrition , thank you :)
Thank you Lee good luck with your race
Good tips thank you! Got my first one in Manchester this Sunday, can’t wait!

Water is provided you have to carry gels on you and dispose of them in the bins or keep hold of them. Goodluck in Amsterdam
Great stuff Woodsy!
Thank you mate
Hey @Woodsy Workout, great videos. What trainers do you use for Hyrox??
Hey Tim I currently use the brooks Launch 8s. The key is finding a running shoe that is not overly stacked and has good grip

Great clip .. let’s have it Manchester
Thank you, good luck I’ll be hitting up Manchester too
Is Apple Watch Ultra 2 Is good for HYROX training? What watch do You use ? Some special apps ?
I haven’t had much experience with Apple Watches for hyrox but there is an app called RoxFit which you might find helpful
Could I ask if we are allowed to bring towels to run with us?
You can yes but you have to have it on you it can’t be passed to you
Race day tomorrow... Gulp
Good luck hope to see out there
Vapor Fly 2 all good for race day?
Too unstable for me, but I’ve seen others wear them
Where do you keep the gels?
I had someone hand it to me, but a lot of running shorts have pockets for gels now
Thanks I thought that would be the case. Just didn’t know if there was anywhere to put them. Cheers
