Brewer and China are like chalk and cheese. One is a very skilled, articulate, hard working individual, who I would trust implicitly. The other one is a second hand car dealer, and no further comment is necessary.
Ed China is Wheeler Dealers. It cannot be reproduced. Ed is a class act and anything he does will be professional, compelling and interesting. Dont take too long to get back in front of us all again doing what we love to watch and listen to.

At the end of the day it's just a TV show. I actually said something akin to that to a cable TV support person when the hard drive failed on my DVR and I lost a bunch of shows stored up. She was a little surprised I was just "meh". Lookin forward to seeing Edd in something more suited to him.
Edd is a perfect gentleman and a gem on TV. I met Mike once outside his 4x4 dealership in Sheffield and found him to be quite arrogant and full of himself. Not the approachable and friendly image he portrays. Here's to Edd's future success, we need him back on TV, it's not the same without him.
Can't even believe this video was necessary. What a real let down by our fellow humans. enjoyed your show for many years, best of luck to the pair of you
No shit. It's a TV show. Yes, it was a good TV show but seriously? Death threats? Ugh. So disappointed with people right now - they should be ashamed of themselves if they're even capable of feeling shame.

Spoken like a true gentleman, Edd. I haven't missed a episode of your show, and in the process have learnt so much from you. Sincerely hope you do produce your very show, with even greater emphasis being placed on the mechanical side, where you're unmatched. I wish you every success in all your future endeavours, and eagerly await your blend of show.
Ed Your were the reason my Wife and I watched the show. You gave concise and correct advice on repairing autos. That was and is missing from the other auto shows that pretend to teach how to restore or improve our autos. Thanks for that and good luck in your future ventures! I'll be watching for you!
Wheelers dealers without edd china this is not wheelers dealers !!! I am French and I love your job and I sincerely hope to see you again soon In a new show.
I watched Wheeler Dealers for one reason - to see you diagnose and fix faults. I put up with Mr Brewer's input but now that you have left I am following you, not Mike. He was the froth, you are the substance. Best of luck.
Ed was just a co presenter of WD and he did quit because the producers wanted to cut more scenes because it takes too much time and a crew is expensive, so Ed made a stuppid mistake to demand things, because he got payed very well for each episode, so he should kept his job because there's not a single other job that pay's that much and it's just easy money. Now he has to make video's on yourtube and that's the only money he makes atm, because not a singel tv station or producer want's to give him his own show, so he ruined his own carreer. Now i did read that hs net worth is about 3 million, so in fact he doesn't have to work ever again when he's not going the live the life of the rich and famous, but he could have had 6 million by now, so he sure made a bad decission imo.
As an avid fan of the show I would simply like to send a sincere thank you to both Edd and Mike for the many years of fabulous entertainment. Sadly all things come to an end but it has been such an education. Very best wishes to everyone involved .
Death threats over a Tv show, absolutely ridiculous. You will both continue to do well so why can't people to just mind their own business and look forward to the new material you both will be involved in.
Torque the prisoner very true, I once had a death threat by a young Irish child in Belfast whilst I was patrolling. But in the end I just had a balloon of piss thrown at me by him instead. My reply is as pointless as your troll comment but true nonetheless.
😂 that’s because that’s what Mike is. It’s a much better show now in the new format. The new mechanic is great but I’m sure it would have still been as good if Ed had decided to continue.
@Tone Break Just a bloke, not an actor, playing a role demanded by the producers..... What do you want, exactly? An entertaining show or a dull documentary on the sleazier side of life? Think we get enough of that in the news, Mmm?
Thats what he is, he had a mate ( often on the show , well his cars were ) he sold old rollers and on one occasion had an Aston Martin Lagonda on sale including my Vet G185FOO which I sold to Chris Eubanks Trainer years before , i had a run in with him before that over some thing , he was very abusive and threatening over a question I asked , he a;lso said you can,t afford any cars that I sell which proved to be ironic .
Loved wheeler dealers but mainly cause the work you did Edd. You taught me so much stuff i service and fix both my cars and have saved myself a small fortune in labour costs. Glad your spreading your wings and look forward to what you are going to do next already subbed!
I'm binge-watching old seasons of Wheeler Dealers. Not because I'm a fan of cars, but because the great tips and workshop explanations motivate me to do something creative. I'm happily subscribing to Edd's TH-cam channel and will continue to binge on his workshop videos. Edd China staying classy xxx
Sad that he's left as he was the main reason I watched it - his garage parts with tips etc were what I liked most about the show. My husband liked seeing the cars they chose and how they ended up, but Edd was the main reason for watching it. For me seeing how the mechanics of restoring a car worked is so much more interesting than all the 'padding' with Mike Brewer. Having seen Ant working in the C4 series with Philip Glenister I can't say I was impressed - he's capable enough (though a bit of a bodge artist), but he's no Edd China; he certainly has a....ahem.....'attitude' I can't see Mike Brewer coping with long term. Mind you, Glenister will never win prizes as Mr Congeniality either (I think he believes he IS Gene Hunt these days), so perhaps that was why Ant was so abrupt (at best; rude at worst). However, that said, I do think the bean counting and penny pinching the makers of Wheeler Dealers have done by cutting back on Edd's garage time, to the point he's left, will come back to the bite them. Still, Mike is Mike and will continue being the 'cockney wide boy' he's honed for the show, which many people love (me, not so much - I like Brewer, just not when he's 'in character'). I think death threats and abuse are ridiculous, especially to Brewer's family - I mean it's just a tv show; hardly enough to start WW3 over, is it? Some people really need to get a life and, as my daughter (19) would say "build a bridge and get over it already". I do genuinely hope Edd gets his own show with LOTS of garage time - now THAT would be a show I'd watch until the cows come home. Just call me a female petrolhead!! XD
Nailed it especially with Mike. Over the decades of selling cars he's honed that /persona/ his way, and for him it works. Just because that's his /work/ persona doesn't mean he is that way any other time, anymore than David Tennant, who as Doctor Who had an English accent, is remotely English using his /real/ Scottish accent when being himself. I've seen all three mechanics, Edd, Ant, and Elvis and I like them all. No offence to Edd at all, but I don't only watch episodes with him in, and from what he said in this video, I don't think he'd want that. BTW I've seen Ant in his Master Mechanic series, and Celebrity Joyride, I think he did fine in those. My opinion anyway :)
@@julianmhall - I didn't bother with it, but my husband did and said Ant was okay. He didn't feel that Ant and Brewer jelled at all, but overall the show worked okay. But Brewer started to grate so I jogged on to other things - namely Vice Grip Garage, Sleeperdude and Junkyard Digs/Mook here on TH-cam. I think what did it for me with Brewer was him on Car Throttle with that Alex bloke and his 'old out yer aaaannnnd' skit. Drove.Me.Nuts. I could never watch Brewer after that without war flashbacks of that manchild. I've gone back to Car Throttle now Alex has gone tho! LOL!
@@troublemcallister730 I've never heard of Car Throttle, although I have seen some Wheeler Dealer spinoffs like Dream Car. Car shows I watch these days are a mix of US and UK like Kindig Customs, Fantom Works, Vintage Voltage, (based in mid Wales), Bangers and Cash, Car SOS (although Tim's on screen persona annoys me), Goblin Works etc.
@@julianmhall - Oh I love Car SOS. But I agree about Tim. I prefer it when he's telling us about the history of the model/make of car or the manufacturing/restoration of what he's out getting rather than all that odious fake 'blagging'. I think my husband likes Vintage Voltage and Kingdig. We also watch Bangers & Cash. Husband knows someone who went up to Thornton Le Dale just for one of the auctions and he said it were mental up there, so many people and it's only a tiny village, so it's basically overrun with tourists for Bangers and Cash every auction . LOL! Husband's mate said it's amazing but most people can't even get inside the building (mind, this was just after the first season, I dread to think how busy it'd be now). I used to visit TlD when I was in my teens/early 20s as my parents LOVED Yorkshire and we had an old caravan and were always going up to Yorkshire every chance we had; Thornton le Dale and York were places my late mum loved. Of course never knew how famous the place would become, but I remember Mathewsons. My favourite youtuber is Sleeperdude. But there's so many others who're really good. I like old cars; customs, 'will they starts' and, my favourite vehicles in the world....pick ups (older the better, though I do love the ones with back seats and bench seats). LOATHE supercars and sports cars....LOATHE them.
Abuse and even death threats to Mike and his family? What the f##k is wrong with this world? I mean, I'm upset big time of Edd's leaving the show, but hey ... There are limits to everything. Are we people or are we animals? Irrespective of what and how happened, there is absolutely no reason to abuse anyone!
This is proof there are millions of "sick whackos" in this sick world we live in. We live in a world of "very mentally sick people." This is "only a TV show"...nothing more and nothing less. George Harrison wrote a tune..."All Things Must Pass"...this is life...people move on...people pass on...worry about your own life and your own mortality. "This is life...you whackos"...get over it! Wheeler Dealers is one of my favorite shows and I love MIke and Edd...they have the right to make changes in their life...like we all do!
adde hat lmao I am a jew and what does being jewish have to do with anything? really.. is it because we are wealthy and your not?? envy will get you nowhere in life dude 😄😄 lol
I never did like Mike, he came across as a pompus weasel certainly not the kind of guy I'd ever buy a car off, after Edd worked hard to put a car in great shape Mike always tried too hard to suddenly turn into Jeremy Clarkson and try to be cool by getting on a racetrack or off road. Rather lame effort. Eddie is the real reason this programme worked so well, he's a fantastic mechanic and has a great rapport with viewers, hope the very best for Edd, super great guy.
That was his point in the show, he's a proper dealer. I wasn't a massive fan of him but i ain't got anything against him, Mike wanted to make it big in the states whereas Ed wants otherwise, simple as that really
SO SO sorry to see you have gone Ed. YOU were the backbone of the Wheeler Dealer series, and I have learned so very much from you. Your attention to detail, your obvious enthusiasm for dealing with even the most difficult and foul jobs has won you a whole army of supporters out here who aren't afraid to handle our own repairs. PLEASE be the leading guy in a new series so that we can see your Workshop Wizardry again. You are a true mechanic, one with knowledge, respect and even humility when stuff goes wrong. You are quite simply THE master mechanic mate !
Most of the show features Edd putting the cars back together again. And if it wasn't for him and the detail he goes into explaining what he's doing, then Wheeler Dealers, in my opinion, wouldn't be so popular. It's not just about transforming old cars into new ones, the show with Edd in it has substance.
Even more realistically viable for the shortest delay possible; Top Tip Clips where he shows how to do something, or even mechanical version of bigclivedotcom, disecting mechanics such as differentials, engines etc :) Am I addicted or what
Ed China a man with integrity and great communication skills. Love the 13 series of Wheeler Dealers and especially the detailed mechanic tips and fixes. Plus Ed has presence has a certain presence as a trustworthy man with a great sense of humour.
That plus he wasn't afraid to tell us when it was time to call in a specialist, like rebuilding power steering pumps and such. Great information for your average joe who can do some but not all the mechanic work on a vehicle.
HowardSupra Mikes segments were good as well though, he gave some very useful tips for buying and selling cars as well as some of the most common but sometimes easy to miss faults to look out for. WD was definitely a show that worked cause of how Mike and Edds knowledge helped each other out
vivi stephou I don't think you understood what he said. He didn't accuse Edd of lying about the death threats, he said that people shouldn't get so wrapped up in it "it's just a show"
Gavin Evans Some people are just shallow, shallow, shallow. The same type of brain dead folks slapping and kicking soap opera actors for their characters behaviour.
I'm really sorry, because I tried to translate into French on the translation of google and google translation did not mark me the same, still really sorry for the misunderstanding, I'm only a Frenchwoman who tried to understand What happened
vivi stephou Edd China a dit qu'il continuera ami de Mike i qu'il y a des gens qui on menacé de mort à Mike et sa famille car ils sont furieux d'avoir Edd ors Wheeler Dealers. Sorry for my poor French :/
Edd was the show and i think that pissed you know who off, he realised he just couldnt match the technical skills of Edd. Would i buy a second hand car from Edd YES, from Mike NO !
Very kind of you to 'defend' Mike.. I am one of the viewers that record WD, and then FF the first bit, to where the tinkering starts. I.m.h.o. a show just around Edd working on 'vehicles' (why stick to cars only) would be a great succes.
sir lancelot and mike brewer is one of the weasels. Shows the type of person he is to carry on just for the money typical second hand car dealer the show will now flop and hope he never gets a show again
American Restoration was a great show when it started. Then, they cut out the actual restoration part of the show and it went downhill. Lastly, they cut the talent and it died suddenly. In truth, content is king, talent is 2nd. Looks like WD is cutting both content and talent. It's already dead, but no one tell management - they think it's been freshly tuned-up!
To be fair to both Edd and Mike, they've both in the past contributed to the show equally and I enjoy both parts of the show. Mikes bit is entertaining and is interesting although I always think it's a bit false when they have a deal at the end of the show. Edd though is a big reason why most people watch wheeler dealers and as other people have said on here he is very informative and a lot of people tackle jobs on their own cars because they've seen him do it. I'd be surprised if the show goes on for more than a couple of series. Just want to say, thanks Edd for showing us all the work you've done in the last 13 seasons. Look forward to seeing you in your own show.
Mike's alright, he is entertaining, he did his part and was pretty good at it but the numbers have always been skewed on the show. All those cost analysis never took the hours/cost of labour into account, which I have a sneaky suspicion that Edd took the brunt of in the majority of cases. Mike might have sold the show, but Edd was the meat an potatoes of it and in the end, I agree, as probably the majority of us would , we wanted to see how Edd tackled the problems, showed us the tools and methods of how to get the project ahead and, as you've mentioned, gave us all the confidence to do it ourselves.👍
BeaverBill to be fair about the costings, Mike has on numerous occasions explained why they don't take Ed's labour costs into account, it's because they are trying to show the profit that can be made if you do the work yourself.
What a class act. Full of integrity. You can tell he is someone who has a hard time being dishonest. Doesn't hold a grudge either, which is admirable. One of the few mechanics I'd want working on my car unsupervised. Can't wait for him to start putting out how own content. I'll be an avid viewer.
Edd, good on you for making that vid, you're the man. Gotta say I always thought you made the show, your knowledge etc and love of mechanical stuff shone through.
I like your contribution Edd to wheeler dealers because it shows budding home mechanics how to do maintenance / replacement jobs on the cars they feature and save them a lot of money in the long run.
You made my childhood and i had a nice time watching the show with my dad. a few months after this video he passed away because of cancer and after 6 six years i am going to work as a mechanic in august 2023. i really like everything you do and i subscribed your channel, but the memories that it made arent gone and i didnt watched one video except of this one. i even didnt watched an episode of the show since all that. i am 16 now but i think i will never forget you. love you edd ♥:)
Seeing you and mike pick up those low cost classics gave the show a more relatable reach to younger audiences(rather than the bigger price range we see today). To find out that you would take such measures to keep the detail, tips and tricks we all love to hear brings joy to us all! Keep doing your thing and we hope to see you back in the garage soon.
In my opinion they make a big mistake, wheeler dealers gonna degrade from a topshow to a carshow like al the other comercial carshow on discovery. The part in the garage was the great difference of the show and the reason I was always looking.
I think if no one was watching the show any more it would get pulled off air, must still be getting good viewing figures and here we are almost 3 years on and edd as done pretty much fuck all....he fucked up and probably knows it
It was a great car show still is I learnt so much about cars it was the first time that you were educated and entertained it cut thru the jargon which baffled us all for years no wonder it was so popular I think needs a rest but he will be back!
I’ve enjoyed the new format, is it the same, no, is it still good, yes. Ant is a highly skilled mechanic but now he has left I don’t know how it’ll turn out. I’m glad it’s returning to the UK though.
I commend you for standing up against Velocity. The last thing I would want to see is a WD that's manipulated by Velocity, or worse, a dumbed-down repair segment filled with lame product promotions. Your troubleshoooting and repair segments are fantastic and I hope you find success in your next TV venture.
Martin Chandler. It's true at work and at home we would talk about how Edd fixed the cars, Mike was just the second hand cars salesman that stepped in at the end to sell it and TBH he was never really any good at that either.
Furthermore: Mike seemed fake and much of the silly drama he tried to create (could-he-sell-the-car-with-a-profit bullshit suspense) was just plain boring. Likewise the staged visits to small shops and craftsmen pretending he was giving a helping hand (hope they charged him extra for it). In contrast Ed´s "job done" fixes were the real deal and often with some good advice to the amateur.
@@goatlps I'm sorry, I believe Edd. There are way too many people in this world who have no sense of proportion, or the brains to understand what Edd stated. :(
Edd is a really nice guy who cares for the cars over money. He isn't after making a quick buck he wants to make bad cars good. Good luck Edd can't wait for new series.
EDD...36000 views in 4 hours... You have to make your own show. I am sure you have some project going on in your garage right now, and we all want to see and hear about it. Thank you.
Tim Halpin - have you been watching the Diesel brothers? I gave up on Roadkill for the very reasons you stated. Same with Gas Monkey when it became the 'Richard Rawlins Show' and another borefest. However, I do love Diesel Brothers; I love trucks more than any sports car ever made (I don't get the point of cars like the Diablo, NextEV, Bugatti Veyron and Gumpert Apollo Sport who are so low you'd never get them over a pebble, let alone one of our British speedbumps). Besides, even though I'm a woman, my favourite vehicle is the one I have now - a Toyota Hilux Surf (old girl now) which is battered and bloody, but unbowed (I live rurally with small lanes and insane locals who think they're at Le Man; but don't want to get their micro cars muddy, so drive up the MIDDLE of the road). That all said - I really would like to see Edd get his own show; at the end of the day, and this is just my opinion obviously, his parts were the only bits I took seriously about WD. Mike Brewer seems a nice enough bloke, but 'cockney wide boy' persona he has is annoying as hell. He is NOT 'Arthur Daly' from Minder.......and it was so clear, with the no productions company, that it was clearly scripted because, unlike George Cole, he can't act his way out of a piece of tissue.
Gonna miss Edd on WD (he was my favorite of the two - No offense to Mike!), but people cross paths and come and go all the time in their careers, no need to make any drama about it. Best wishes to Edd on his future endeavors. If you make death threats over a television show cast change you need to rethink your priorities in life.
I suspect M. Brewer was pretty quick to make compromises about what really was the core of the show, Edd's workshop sequences, in exchange of cash. But yeah, death threats, that's getting ridiculous.
I don't see where Edd is upset with Mike. They had different views of how the show should be done. Discovery channel wanted to change things. so they did. Edd left.
Not only does Edd not look upset at Mike, but I would wager it's the other way around: Mike is smart enough to know that the show will suck and wither without Edd and is probably pretty pissed that Edd killed his golden goose. That's what happens when you sell out Mike.
Love you Edd, their will never be a proper connection between the doers and the 'money guys' sadly. The doers made the world what it is and the greedy reap it's benefits and pay to get people elected to keep this corrupt system going. The worst thing is, very few people actually see it for what it is and those in control of it are slipping wildly off track.
Ed is the show .. who wants to see mike on the phone doing his stupid joking around. It's the nuts and bolts that made the show and ed' s talent to show us how to go it for our self
"their will never be a proper connection between the doers and the 'money guys' sadly." Thats the definition of Capitalism. The worker class and the owner class will always be separate
It is really that the whole WD is about Ed and not Mike. The Ed job and knowledge is what for us is most watchable. Not the trade part, which in many cases was stupid and artificial. For me, to betray a friend in such heinous manner, is the end of any friendship. Why to change the participants, if the show was so popular? simply, the new boys is more "connected" but not so suitable, and Mark follows the money, not his friend
Disappointed. Edd's insight and knowledge made the show. Mike's phoney demeanor and ugly negotiating, bragging all time about himself were a real turnoff . Good luck to Edd.
its astounds me, its 2021 and Mr Brewer was still slagging Edd off in a recent interview released on YT for some auto blog channel, But yet in 2017 Edd had more class and professionalism in his little finger.
He's obviously very jealous of the fact that Edd's TH-cam channel has nearly a thousand times more subscribers than his... That's right, A THOUSAND TIMES MORE! Can't hide butt-hurt...
Always did have. If I could have had episodes of WD on TV with Mike edited out, just showing Edd's workshop lessons, that's what I would have opted for. So in a lot of ways it was for the best, as today TH-cam recommended this channel to me, and I saw Edd is back giving lessons but able to do it his way. So much happiness in my heart right now!
@@viennapalace Not sure what Mike Brewer could do to get me to subscribe to anything he was doing, but an apology to Edd for all the bad press would be a start. Edd had integrity and Mike went for the money. Maybe having seen how Top Gear shook out, Mike should have backed Edd. The way that RH and JM backed Clarkson, for all his faults. That's friendship, and that United front let them survive to better times together. Mike is my definition of fair weather friend, but then whoever met a used car dealer with a soul, or any pride?
+Jonas Devenport . Why should we care if you just farted you child. We don't care if your trump turns into a shit so you follow through. But your mom won't be too pleased washing your shitty briefs.
Some people never cease to amaze me with their ability to take things way beyond the ridiculous. It's TV guys, death......really. Thanks Edd for your usual dose of common sense on this. 👍🏼
Thank you for all your excellent work on Wheeler Dealers. I enjoy watching the show, and it's good to see how you go about the car restoration and repair. I bought a 1962 Standard Vanguard which needs a bit of restoration, and watching how you sort the cars out on tv has given me some inspiration to get started on mine! Thanks Edd.
Everyone including myself liked Edd’s top tips, cost saving efforts and the many UK workshops/craftsmen that have made themselves available to car owners thanks to their appearance on the show.
Edd, I stand by my earlier statement. I haven't watched one second of wheeler dealers since you left. Is it still on? Even my teenage daughter would watch the show back in the day. I hope you're doing well!
They were both part of the success of that show. But I always liked the way Ed went about fixing the cars. Picking the right car was also important and that’s where Mike came in. I miss them both.
Good video, you were the star of the show, Mike is ok and charismatic but most watched it to see how the repairs were done. I imagine you will or have already good offers or a tv show but i tell you you will do fantastically here on youtube. Good luck in whatever you choose to do.
Roughly 14 years ago if not a little more, I would record some episodes on old VHS tapes to follow Ed’s instruction. No one around me was car savvy nor were there any people in my life who would take me on, and show me around simple car maintenance; let alone the complexities of car repair. To make long stories shorter as a kid I would watch Ed China and try my hardest to learn what I could from him. I hope he has found great success and I am eager to watch any new show casting Ed as our leading man. I will continue to watch as I did then and learn everything I can.
I wonder how Ed would feel if he heard how Mike had been criticizing him, saying he became a "Tv star" and it was making him not want to do repairs correctly. The new Wheeler Dealers definitely has cut out 50% of the repairs, so I tend to lean Ed's direction...
Well said Edd. I still enjoy watching you and learning more about fixing cars. I do all my own maintenance and have done for years, but still learning. Keep making programs. You and Mike worked well together, but I think you were the glue that held it together.
It seems that British shows that go through an "Americanization" do so at their own peril. I also follow Ramsay's "Kitchen Nightmares" and it went through a similar transition as Wheeler Dealers. The British version is to the point, quiet, and low-key (and entertaining). Then it comes to America and assumes the audience is stupid. It adds all sorts of gimmicks, crazy editing, and conflict to try to entertain the American with no attention span. I think it's a horrible mistake and the nail in the coffin for Wheeler Dealers. The latest seasons of Wheeler Dealers have included some stupid antics and contrived conflict that distract from what makes the show so great. I think it's such a shame that the China/Brewer pair is breaking up when things could've just continued as they were under the British model.
I agree with KAuto26. There was a tie when American media and entertainment used to be substantive, creative and entertaining. Most American production and media companies have their heads up their asses and are unwilling to do what it takes to either preserve something that is already good or to go in a new direction other that the status quo. The way wheeler dealer was originally done along with Top Gear and many other British productions was what attracted so many Americans in the first place. They were different, they did not rely on gimmicks, and loud cheesy music and retreading one theme after another. There was a time when the Discovery channel, History channel and so on used to be unique and substantive. Now everything is like a cookie cutter fast food chain, mostly crap. I'd much rather watch a BBC documentary or the only good American media outlet, PBS, any day than the run of the mill garbage these days.
Mr Ben so if what you're saying is true then Americans would like the new format. And if that is the case then the people sending the threats to Mike and his family must be BRITSH. My theory is a little different. I think it's more about corporate greed and it can happen to any show that becomes mainstream. It's just that they more often move from UK to the US when the bigger corps buy up IP. That might be because there is a larger population in the US so the TV networks have more money here by virtue of the fact there is more advertising revenue to me made from a larger audience - stupid or otherwise. Just a thought. Love you Brits.
Ed you have great skills and always very enjoyable to watch, I think it is mainly down to you why Wheeler Dealers was a success in the first place, very informative and in fact inspirational to all ages and skill levels, it would be great to see you back on the screen one day, perhaps in a similer role as before, I totally agree with how the show ended up and you did the right thing in moving on, However with Mike, he should have stuck by your side, and not followed the pay day, they always do say never trust a car sales man. there is truth in that. all the best NC.
With this vid, you just showed your fans probably one of the best lessons ever: Class and truly top notch decency. Thank you Ed always for all you have shared with the world all these years. As far as WD is dead to me. WD is Ed China and Mike Brewer period. Regards, AD
Yes, it's sad that mike & yourself have parted ways over issues for Wheeler Dealers but receiving death threats and abuse is bang out of order. Good luck with your new ventures Edd, hope to see you back soon on TV.
Personally i'm no fan of Mike Brewer , However abuse and death threats are beyond the pale . I wish Mike Brewer and Edd all the very best for the future .
If you watched it, you will forget Edd. Eastenders and Corrie do it all the time. Seems mad but you forget. Can't forgive Edd for being such a tit. He is even making 3rd rate versions of the show. He must be kicking himself or deluded. Repeats will pay him well though.
EDD, you where the reason number ONE for us watching this show. My husband and I LOVED your detailed explanations and how you fixed cars with little. We are extremely disappointed.. Mike should had stick with you
David Murphy I have to agree with you,,,I loved the show. but it's new direction of cutting corners to maximize profit is something I can't get behind.
My favourite show, wheeler dealers, loved the way Mike Brewer bought bargains and then Ed China would do his magic with tools on fixing cars. Thanks guys keep up good work, all the best for future.
That's too bad, I really liked watching the show over the years, but this is what happens when things get too successful and then corporations take them over with their own ideas. Just like American Choppers, they destroyed the show and the family at the same time. I wish both Edd and Mike the best, can't wait to see what they come up with on their own.
There is a video showing Mike Brewer really slagging off Ed, so Mr China comes out of this with his dignity intact while Mike Brewer looks like a resentful hobbit full of bile.
I watched the show for Edd’s “top tips” I’ve learned a lot and continue to as I rewatch old episodes and of course this channel. I haven’t watched an episode of the new wheeler dealers as the previews just don’t seem right without Edd. I wish Edd all the best, he really is a one-of-a-kind gentleman.
This guy has a lot of class I really like him I wish him well

Edd is my favourite. I miss him so much!
To this day, Ed has never trash talked Mike. I wish I could say Mike followed the same path.
as a well known phrase goes "manners maketh man" Mike is no Gent, quite the opposite in fact, and deed.
really man? is just sad, Ed was the show, Mike always was useful! I wish Ed make a show about cars, at least in youtube.
How Brewer keeps getting work is beyond me. He must be the luckiest man in show business

You are a fantastic engineer and you were the programme, Mike’s a dodgy car dealer😂
Engineer haha yea I saw him make many things on the show! Definitely wasn’t just bolting stuff on to any old shit !
Edd, classy response.
I watched Wheeler Dealers for one reason - to see you diagnose and fix faults. I put up with Mr Brewer's input but now that you have left I am following you, not Mike. He was the froth, you are the substance. Best of luck.
Edd mate if more people was like you things would be better for everyone.
Ed was just a co presenter of WD and he did quit because the producers wanted to cut more scenes because it takes too much time and a crew is expensive,
so Ed made a stuppid mistake to demand things, because he got payed very well for each episode, so he should kept his job because there's not a single other job
that pay's that much and it's just easy money. Now he has to make video's on yourtube and that's the only money he makes atm, because not a singel tv station or producer
want's to give him his own show, so he ruined his own carreer. Now i did read that hs net worth is about 3 million, so in fact he doesn't have to work ever again
when he's not going the live the life of the rich and famous, but he could have had 6 million by now, so he sure made a bad decission imo.

@Tone Break
Funny you say that when he has a very successful car business 👍
XD
^^^^^^^^Fuckin' nailed it!

Rather lame effort. Eddie is the real reason this programme worked so well, he's a fantastic mechanic and has a great rapport with viewers, hope the very best for Edd, super great guy.

Edd , make your own car show, I know it will be a smash hit !
Most of the show features Edd putting the cars back together again. And if it wasn't for him and the detail he goes into explaining what he's doing, then Wheeler Dealers, in my opinion, wouldn't be so popular. It's not just about transforming old cars into new ones, the show with Edd in it has substance.

Ed China a man with integrity and great communication skills. Love the 13 series of Wheeler Dealers and especially the detailed mechanic tips and fixes. Plus Ed has presence has a certain presence as a trustworthy man with a great sense of humour.
I'm sticking with Edd, WD was successful because of Edd. He explained tasks that made the average home mechanic (me) comfortable to work on his car.
WD was definitely a show that worked cause of how Mike and Edds knowledge helped each other out
Death threats! WTF is wrong with people. It's just a show.

sir lancelot and mike brewer is one of the weasels.
The thing that made WD appealing to me was the actual working on the vehicle and not that stupid manufactured drama on every other reality TV show
100% chance of it going the way of Top Gear.
And The Grand Tour, hopefully. What a contrived trash heap that POS show is.
Man I just found you again! You were the brains and back of that show! It’s time you came back! We are missing you!
Edd - You're a class act through and through that can't be replaced!
Looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for you!
I watched every episode until Ed left and haven’t watched one since
The show is still on????
@@ididntfindafunnyname yes, but it became an americanized and annoying show.
Me too😅
Me too!!
Snap. Brewer is just an annoying wide boy. No natural charisma.
edd no offence but since you left no one really wants to watch wheeler dealers any more we're all gutted you left mate,no more edd no more show buddy
Well said man.
Well, apart from all those viewers who helped set record viewer numbers for the show.
Your troubleshoooting and repair segments are fantastic and I hope you find success in your next TV venture.
the show is all about ED not mike
Exactly - they can keep Mike!
Agreed never did take to mike brewer Edd's a legend.
Citronitroify agreed. I would always skip to Edd in the shop, the rest was filler.
"Death threats are not cool" Possibly the most English of statements ever.
Almost certainly not true either.
@@goatlps I'm sorry, I believe Edd. There are way too many people in this world who have no sense of proportion, or the brains to understand what Edd stated. :(
You mean "it's not necessary to kill anybody over it", heheh.
@@geordi5054 its ok because is Micks belly keeps getting bigger he will blow himself up and their would be no need to kill me
Edd is a really nice guy who cares for the cars over money. He isn't after making a quick buck he wants to make bad cars good. Good luck Edd can't wait for new series.
EDD...36000 views in 4 hours... You have to make your own show. I am sure you have some project going on in your garage right now, and we all want to see and hear about it. Thank you.
And roadkill has been watered down to nothing...
I really hope he makes a cameo apperance on 'Project Binky' an insane, over engineered project in a garage full of tools is his environment :)
I live in a 'rural' area in America...and what you describe regarding 'rules of the road' apply here as well!
Binky fan here too. If you look carefull, they don't have too many fancy tools at all .
When are we going to see more of Edd China's Garage Revival? I liked the pilot and wish to see a watch many more!
Very humble mate. Looking forward to seeing what the future brings. Good luck, from one Ed to another.
How in the world is this Mike's fault? I blame discovery channel. smh. insane people.
I suspect M. Brewer was pretty quick to make compromises about what really was the core of the show, Edd's workshop sequences, in exchange of cash. But yeah, death threats, that's getting ridiculous.
then why in the first place would edd be mad about mike?
I don't see where Edd is upset with Mike. They had different views of how the show should be done. Discovery channel wanted to change things. so they did. Edd left.
Not only does Edd not look upset at Mike, but I would wager it's the other way around: Mike is smart enough to know that the show will suck and wither without Edd and is probably pretty pissed that Edd killed his golden goose. That's what happens when you sell out Mike.
"not my favourite person" doesnt sound like a friendly term to me
Love you Edd, their will never be a proper connection between the doers and the 'money guys' sadly.
"their will never be"
WHERE will never be?
Over here will never be, or someplace else will never be?
its astounds me, its 2021 and Mr Brewer was still slagging Edd off in a recent interview released on YT for some auto blog channel, But yet in 2017 Edd had more class and professionalism in his little finger.
Mike is my definition of fair weather friend, but then whoever met a used car dealer with a soul, or any pride?
what the hell grow up guys yes its sad its ended but really death threats is a bit much
Wayne Bradford a bit much?Get a grip people and leave Mike and his family completely alone.Sorry you had to make this video Edd.
this is funny as fuck............even the top gear clowns stuck together .......
Thanks for the update sir. Looking forward to seeing your new shows.
Wayne Bradford 252th THAT!
Edd China is Former Wheeler Dealers he left not coming back by series 14.
Pathetic that this video had to be made, but kudos for taking time out to speak up for the reasonable, silent majority.
Richard Ross TRUMP!!!
Jonas Devenport gives himself a thumbs up , what a tool.
Ancel Rick that's why it has 6 likes
I just saw this in my timeline! So very nice of you to explain the situation without being nasty. Wishing you the very best for the future.
You followed your heart and not the dolla signs, well done sir and I couldn't agree more with your statements .
I used yo watch car sos! but the "personality " in the way again! that Idiot Tim adds nothing to their show!..... I hope Ed all success!
They were both part of the success of that show. But I always liked the way Ed went about fixing the cars. Picking the right car was also important and that’s where Mike came in. I miss them both.
You are a genuine person Ed.
Very talented. Mike seems to be more money driven.
More business minded.
Of course! Mike is a salesman! His interest is money flow not airflow.
totaltwit Yes but Mike is fucked when it comes to airflow. Why he had a Skilled Edd.
Good video, you were the star of the show, Mike is ok and charismatic but most watched it to see how the repairs were done. I imagine you will or have already good offers or a tv show but i tell you you will do fantastically here on youtube. Good luck in whatever you choose to do.
Been watching Wheeler dealer for some time now. Edd has been the reason that I continued to watch. You'll be missed Edd.
Thanks, Edd. Nice to hear a voice of reason when so many angry, uninformed little people go off the deep end and send someone death threats. Childish.
Ed is the man, his passion for working on cars shines in Wheeler Dealer. looking forward to his future endeavor
I think it's such a shame that the China/Brewer pair is breaking up when things could've just continued as they were under the British model.
broomsterm nah, the Americanization comments are right. we ruin every British show that we touch over here
I agree with KAuto26. I'd much rather watch a BBC documentary or the only good American media outlet, PBS, any day than the run of the mill garbage these days.
broomsterm Dude, that was over 40 years ago. You taking the Mick or what?
Actually, youre wrong. Mike and Ed did not willingly go along with the shows new direction...hence, Ed is no longer on the show!
Ed you have great skills and always very enjoyable to watch, I think it is mainly down to you why Wheeler Dealers was a success in the first place, very informative and in fact inspirational to all ages and skill levels, it would be great to see you back on the screen one day, perhaps in a similer role as before, I totally agree with how the show ended up and you did the right thing in moving on,
However with Mike, he should have stuck by your side, and not followed the pay day, they always do say never trust a car sales man. there is truth in that.
all the best NC.
With this vid, you just showed your fans probably one of the best lessons ever: Class and truly top notch decency. Thank you Ed always for all you have shared with the world all these years. As far as WD is dead to me. WD is Ed China and Mike Brewer period.
Regards,
AD
Ed China genius mechanic.🍷 CHEERS ED.👍
Yes, it's sad that mike & yourself have parted ways over issues for Wheeler Dealers but receiving death threats and abuse is bang out of order.
Good luck with your new ventures Edd, hope to see you back soon on TV.
Personally i'm no fan of Mike Brewer , However abuse and death threats are beyond the pale . I wish Mike Brewer and Edd all the very best for the future .
I watched the show to see you. Don’t watch it anymore. The tall guy is a real man.
Edd and Mike...success for you both.
Show was over as soon as Edd was forced to leave.
He wasn't forced to leave, he just didn't agree with the American way of making the show.
He has made it clear he set himself up resistant to change.
Fool knows he blew it.
If you watched it, you will forget Edd.
Eastenders and Corrie do it all the time. Seems mad but you forget.
Can't forgive Edd for being such a tit. He is even making 3rd rate versions of the show. He must be kicking himself or deluded.
Repeats will pay him well though.
Looking forward to seeing you back on TV. Good luck!
To be honest I always record Wheeler Dealers so I can fast forward past all the Mike Brewer sections. I find Mike arrogant and very annoying.
That's what I do lol
I called Mike 'thrush' for obvious reasons!
That is exactly how I watched it. The show is dead to me know. Reality tv bullshit.
A really good drinking game if you want cirrhosis is to have a nip every time Mike exclaims "Look at that!"
Class act as always. Mike's comments on Edd? Not so much. Sorry Edd, our house won't be watching the "new' Wheeler Dealers.
Edd is a legend. Once a legend always a legend.
EDD, you where the reason number ONE for us watching this show. My husband and I LOVED your detailed explanations and how you fixed cars with little. We are extremely disappointed.. Mike should had stick with you
Edd you are a legend, I won't be watching wheeler dealers now. I can't wait for your new show!
David Murphy I have to agree with you,,,I loved the show. but it's new direction of cutting corners to maximize profit is something I can't get behind.
" M I " up here
Red well said my friend.
Red Why do people constantly spell losing wrong?
David Murphy I'm totally of the same opinion. WD is NOT interesting without Ed China! Go on Ed, make that new show!
Death threats? Wtf. Its only a TV show ffs.
That was my actual thoughts too, people really need to grow up.
More depressing tbh.
would definitely be from a Muslim
My favourite show, wheeler dealers, loved the way Mike Brewer bought bargains and then Ed China would do his magic with tools on fixing cars. Thanks guys keep up good work, all the best for future.
good response! a true gentleman!
