Thanks to your incredible videos I have successfully removed the batwing fairing, installed the 4" ROX risers and reinstalled the batwing and windscreen. Everything goes extremely well if your procedure is followed exactly. I tried to cut some corners and found myself going back a step or two and re-doing it right. Re-routing the brake master cylinder assembly was easy after removing the headlight. (Which had to be removed for the batwing installation anyway). I went to the dealer and bought new banjo fitting washers thinking I was going to just re-route the brake line. Moving the whole assembly was much easier. The only issue I might have is with the clutch cable. I routed it where you put your parking brake cable but there isn't any slack now and I have no free play in the clutch lever. I haven't been able to test ride the bike as there is still a foot of snow in front of the shed where my bikes spend the winter. I'm hoping the clutch is fully engaged and there is no slippage. @@ontherebel11 can you provide a picture of the new 4 inch risers and the dash board relative new location from the riders view perspective? TIA

I have the DCT Rebel. Not sure where to disconnect the parking brake cable on the handlebar. My concern is not being able to reconnect it with the correct tension in the cable. Does the cable disconnect easily from the black 14mm nut under the parking brake mechanism?
Hi Albert, I took apart the whole mechanism to free up the cable from the lever, similar to disconnecting the clutch cable from the hand lever, that allowed me to snake the cable without the lever assembly. I regret not recording the process.... Sorry brother
@@ontherebel11 Yeah, looking at the shop manual (finally) and it looks like disassembly of the parking brake module is required. I’ll continue with my “patience” strategy. The Lord will guide. Thank you for your videos though- they’re excellent!
@@albertsanchez8007 Albert, take a closer look at the cable, if you move the headlight out of the way, will that give you enough clearance to route the whole assembly? You could remove just one bolt of the headlight and swing it out of the way.
@@albertsanchez8007 I'm looking at some pictures of my bike, I believe you can route the whole assembly if you move the headlight, much easier than the other way.
@@albertsanchez8007 for reference on how to remove the headlight, you could watch that section in the batwing video.
Hi, just saw your 4" riser video. I was wondering why you went up from the 3" risers?
Hi Mo, I have shorter arms than the average 5'7 guy and wanted to be riding upright so I don't get back pain. Not a huge difference from the 3 inch risers, but every little bit helps. 👍
@@ontherebel11 Thank you for your reply and thank you for your videos. It sure helps knowing your height and weight. That has a lot to do with how you sit on this bike.
@@Mo_Trixx anytime!
Hi, awesome content, your wisdom saved me a few times when i kept getting stuck installing the risers. I installed the 3” risers but i have an issue directing the dash towards me. It seems like it’s pointing towards the sky rather than me. I tried longer screws but didn t help much with the angle. Any advice? TIA!
Hi Kurt, I apologize for the late response, it has been quite a week. It is very strange that the dashboard is pointing to the sky, if using the same mounting point but just adding longer screws is should maintain the same angle as original, did you also add spacers? Send me a couple of picture to ontherebel11@gmail.com and i'll be happy to look at them!
@@ontherebel11 hey man. Thanks a lot for replying :) i tried again with proper spacers and upon tightening of the bolts the dash is now facing me not the sky! So all good now. Keep up the great content!
Wonderful news Kurt! Thank you for the update brother! 🤙
@@ontherebel11 Hello Mate just wondering what are the dimensions of the long screw and the spacers you used to do this. Thanks
Do u have a step by step video of u rerouting the brake line and brake cable?
Hi mighty mouz! The video I have is for routing the front brake line by disconnecting the brake line... I also have a video of how to bleed the front brake line if you wish to go that route... Unfortunately I didn't record rerouting the parking brake line.

@@ontherebel11 Thank u! Yes, I bought the 4" risers and I'm hoping to disconnect and reroute each unit. I have the Honda Service Manual so I'll try to figure out how I can do it. I don't have a camera other than my phone to record it though. But thanks again. 👍🏽

@@ontherebel11 Hi, thank u so much for your videos. Very helpful. How do I disconnect the cable clusters from the dash mounts? They don't just slip off and they're wrapped in tape. So I can't see any release clips. Do I have to cut away the tape to expose release clips or is there another way to release them? Thx again!
@@MightyMouzMoto I'm glad you found them helpful brother! in the linked video, i demonstrate how to disconnect them, go to the 4:20 min mark. you are right, the clip is hidden under the tape. th-cam.com/video/tBVlb-6_AFo/w-d-xo.html
The windscreen fairing collar part #5 in the directions. Will that be altered?
Hi Joel, you will not need to modify the collar, in my installation video of the batwing, i had to use spacers in place of the collars because they didn't send me the collars... if you have a few minutes, watch this video at the 21:21 minute mark to see a detailed description th-cam.com/video/tBVlb-6_AFo/w-d-xo.html

@@ontherebel11 thanks
Would this work on the Rebel 300 too?
I'm not sure of the measurements, but in theory it should work👍
Awesome videos! Question, did you use the same size bolt and spacers for the 4in risers that you used for the 3in?
Thank you! I used the same M6 screws, but I needed 1/4 less spacers. 🤙
@@ontherebel11 Thanks brother… I’m assuming you mean 1/4 less than the 45mm total length? Or 1/4 in less?… I purchased spacers I have to cut down, and don’t want to cut them too short!
@@sammisdaddy sorry about that, 1/4 inch less. But don't cut it until you install the risers, depending on how far you angle the risers, you might need the extra length. I tilted my risers towards me at apx 45 degrees to give me the closest reach. Here's a better view of the angle th-cam.com/video/tsXDYZVYe4s/w-d-xo.html
@@ontherebel11 Yup. I went with 1” long spacers from Home Depot (2 on each side) and once I lined up the risers the 2” wound up being perfect…. Just had to spray them black as they came white. Thanks again for your help and looking forward to your next Rebel video!
@@sammisdaddy I'm so glad it worked out brother! Thank you for your kind words! 🙏
4 " in both directions for sure. Then move both sides foot pegs forward 4-6" also. How did thus ever get out of the factory and design like this?⁰. This is a great sales demo- pitch for bmw !!
I believe the intended audience is the bobber crowd rather than the touring crowd, hopefully they will offer a touring package with a better seat and improved ergonomics
Hi.. First I would like to commend you on your EXCELLENT videos. 👍👍
Question… I’m understanding that after a few months of riding with the 3” risers.. you’ve decided that you would be more comfortable with an additional inch of rise.
May I ask your height and possibly your inseam and arm length..??
Comparing your measurements to my own..
5’ 6” .. 28” inseam.. 32/33” arm length (measured from center of neck to wrist)… would give me a basis of comparison, and help me in my decision what would suit my riding comfort best.
Thanks so much… and again.. GREAT VIDEOS
Thank you very much for your kind words! 🙏
I think you and I have the same measurements! In all honesty, I think that I would be more comfortable with 5 or even 6 inches risers for better reach! I want to be completely upright as I usually go on all day rides and long distance tours! Compared to the stock position, the 3 inch risers made all the difference in the world for me and eliminated all the pain in my back, neck arms and shoulders, I just wanted a little more for my riding style.
@@ontherebel11 Thank you for your quick and courteous reply.
My Sportster has 8.5” high handlebars… and the comfort of riding in an ‘upright’ position is truly all day comfort. 👍👍
