Such a great list! Lots already on my wish list and a few more to add to my wish list. I’m delighted Redwall was your top book of the year - Constance was my absolute favourite character as well!
Wonderful list, Kim. We have several top books in common. Queen of Dirt Island (my number one book for the year) was my introduction to Donal Ryan, and I've been reading him ever since. James was in my top five as well. I also adore Jess Kidd, though I think I read Mr. Flood a while back. I read The Night Ship with my in person book group last year. It's a terrific novel also. I know you are going to love it also. You had so many wonderful re-reads this year too. Terrific video.
I love Clara behind the camera. She should add in snarky comments more often! Woman They Could Not Silence & James were added to my TBR. I bought Redwall for my 26 year old daughter for Christmas because of your recommendation! Wonderful list and video. Thanks, Kim!
What a great top 10 list! Funny about the fiction/nonfiction divide. I'm listening to Milkman at the moment, absolutely loving it, I really don't think I'd get through reading it, but the audio is captivating. I'm about to start World of Wonders to read it with Book Naturalists this month, so glad to see it make your list. I'm not much of a fantasy fan, and I didn't love Redwall! I enjoyed parts of it, and remember parts of it, and it must be 10-15 years since I read it, but I was not tempted to read on. I found it too too long. I'm glad that you loved it though, I hope the rest of the series is as good.
1. Tucci book finally bought 😅 2. The Wall finally bought (I keep seeing everyone reading and talking about this and you sold me!) 3. Love your dog earred books 4. Your #1 pick is fantastic!! Thanks for an excellent round up of reads Kim 🎉
