Found your channel and I love your recommendations and how you talk about books. Found The Troop at a used book store and picked it up because of a video of yours! It’s great so far!
omgggg i read “i’m glad my mom died” too and i loved it!!!! i’m so proud of jennette mccurdy for being able to talk about everything after all this time. i listened to the audiobook and she narrates it, and it’s really great
Great list. Lonesome Dove (all time favorite), Dracula, Rosemarys Baby, and Electric sheep are all among my favorites. Bang on about Dracula. That book absolutely blew me away.
im thinking of ending things... omg.. the audio... the twist HEARD ON THE AUDIO... my most YOU MUST LISTEN TO THE AUDIO book of all time. I went back and listened to THAT PART like 3 times immediately!
I read The Troop and it was good, but it seems to get a lot of love.. i wish i loved it like most. The Long Walk is awesome! there is a VERYYYY short animated video floating around that is damn good.
I had that problem with a book I read this year where it felt like it was so hyped up for me that it could never possibly live up to it and it felt lackluster. I’ll have to look for this animation.
Currently reading The Totem - David Morrell, decent paced horror. Favourites of 2024 are The Terror, Hellbound Heart, Rosemarys Baby, The Dead Zone, Starve Acre and One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest.
Wow, I own 8 of the 10 books in your list, read 4 of them and loved them. And I will buy " I'm glad my mom died"....'cause of my own f*cked up youth. Heard you mention my name, that's cool too! Greetings from Adje N, a bloodsucker😂
@Crizzybooks It would be easier if you could read in Spanish. But those who you can find their work translated are Mariana Enriquez, Monica Ojeda Liliana Blum, Fernanda Melchor and Maria Fernanda Ampuero.
I love lonesome dove. It is in my all time top 5. I also loved I'm glad my mom died. One of the best memoirs ever. Rosemary's baby is definitely on my 2025 tbr
Tender is the Flesh is one of my top 10 books of all time. This is a great list! Thanks.

I love seeing Latin American authors in these tops. It makes me very happy to see how far my fellow countrywomen go.
If you have any other recommendations let me know!
