    As you already are landcruiser owner i have no doubt you will do it justice. I found your channel with your bonnet modification series so whilst you are making this a side project it would be great to see regular updates (agianst your stated desire i know)

    Hi Terry. Another cracking video and you’ve set yourself quite a challenge the! On another issue altogether now. I just can’t seem to help myself looking beyond the video presented to speculate on the presenters background. There’s no hiding that Canadian accent but your use of the Australian “lingo” is spot on. So much so in fact that I could almost second guess what you were going to say so I would call you 100% Australian! So welcome mate! You must also have some sort of mechanical / technical background to be tackling the projects you do. Whatever the case welcome to Australia and I hope you and your family have a long and happy life here. Cheers from Gippsland.

    • @JafffaAdventures
      @JafffaAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks David, yes indeed it is going to be a serious challenge but I’m ready for it. Interesting that you mention my background as I was thinking about doing a short video on this, just was not sure it’s all that interesting to be honest. I’m glad I’ve got the lingo down pat, it’s taken me 25 years to get here! And yes, I’m 100% Australian, I love it hear, it’s my home and my family’s home and I would not want to be anywhere else! As for my background, it might surprise you to know that I have zero mechanical training. I did a university degree back in Canada in Chemistry and Microbiology but I have always had a love for all things mechanical. I guess if you are interested enough in something, you can always teach yourself. The only drawback is that I make bucketloads of mistakes, you know two steps forward one step back sort of stuff. Again, thanks for your kind words and for follow along, I sincerely appreciate it 😎👍

    Mate, super excited to see this happen. This is my dream project as well (and I'm sure a lot of other Landcruiser lovers). Though I'm only planning to restore it to drive around the farm, not for rego. Of course that's what I say now. :)

    Hi Terry, congrats to the “barn find”. You got you a very nice project, men you must have allot of spare time.....watch out that you don’t get locked out of the house... ops would be easy for you having such nice workshop garage... mate it seems your plan is going to build a “sleeper” !! V8 supercharge... 1000 hp... and you want a 5 speed manual...? We are all exited to see what you come up with next year.. take your time and do it right and don’t forget the weekly flowers for the missus. Cheers

    Hey Terry,
    I think you should reconsider your decision to not make detailed vids on this exciting build.
    As you are aware i am a 200 series owner and i love it but have always wanted to rebuild a 40 series.
    Another coincidence is that my daily drive is a wm caprice with the ls2 and i really rate these engines as you do with your maloo.
    Id certainly be following your new build even if it meant a second channel for you as I'm sure alot of 200 owners will be doing the same.
    Toyota, Oh what a feeling!
    Cheers Eric.

    • @JafffaAdventures
      @JafffaAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for following along and sharing your thoughts Eric, I sincerely appreciate it. It’s not so much not wanting to flood my current channel with FJ45 content, but more just not having the bandwidth to run two channels simultaneously, or even just one channel with additional content. Rest assured I will try and get the balance right without killing myself or disenfranchising you the viewer. Enjoy your WM mate, nothing beats the sound of a V8😎👍

    Please video the rebuild and engine upgrade. I love your 200 series and camping content, but with your presenting style and attention to detail it would be a grave disservice to humanity if you did not record the building of this lovely old lady.

    hey dude, you said you werent gonna document it for the channel. Does that mean youre not gonna film work on it at all?
    Im not particularly into older cars, but a lot of people are. you should definately consider documenting it.
    maybe in the future you when have spare time (or have maxxed out the 200 with mods) u can compile the 40series videos together into a couple of really long videos for the old skool car nerds to enjoy haha

    • @JafffaAdventures
      @JafffaAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good questions and thanks for commenting. I’ll definitely be filming and documenting it, it just will not be bolt by bolt if you know what I mean. I will try and balance current content with 45 content as best I can. You could make a whole channel dedicated to this and unfortunately I just don’t have the hours in the day to keep up both streams of content. As I said, I’ll do my best however.
