Omg thanks for this. This is my favorite song of all songs. Listened to the original thousands of times by now no getting sick of it it’s a musical obsession of mine and a masterpiece. I taught myself piano to learn this song. I have versions from many different artists and interpretations. It’s amazing to get this studio recording from the original band. I can’t believe I’ve never heard it before this all things considered. Goes to show I’ll never stop searching for new versions. The second half of this version is so raw omg it gives the released one a run for the money it is absolutely killer. Also for anyone that read this far and hasn’t heard it already, look up panic at the disco live karma police. One of the best live covers I’ve heard to date and I’ve heard a lot of versions of this.
Jonny brought back the outro piano intensity the more they played live during the OKC tour. It's real apparent when Jonny started using the upright acoustic the 2000 tour.
WOW THIS VERSION IS AMAZING AND THE LAUGHTER AT THE BEGINNING GIVES YOU A DARK FEELING But I would like to know where this came from? Because looking at the date it is almost recent.
Look up ok outtakes, it's an unreleased b side kinda album. but there's playlist of them in yt, it's basically a bunch of unused recording parts and alternate version of songs that could've made it into the 2017 version of ok computer, but didn't I don't know if they plan to officially release it anytime soon but it's been leaked pretty recently since around november
this is so killer 😭 yet i'm not entirely sure which version i would've preferred on the album. they're both incredible in their own right! and the ending is sublime. truly.
@@SprinklesIsGamerthey made most of ok computer during the bends sessions and most of the songs back in 96’ were more like the bends but around late 1996 they switched up to more experimental approach
Wow its amazing you say this. I was just writing a comment about it. How was Bellamy able to hear this before there was Muse. If it was just being released. He must have heard this. This is one of the most Muse moments from Radiohead, before Muse..🤔
Wait if this just came out. How was Matthew Bellamy able to hear this version. Because he has to have heard this version. This outro is the most I have heard Radiohead sound like Muse, before there was Muse. Especially when he is belting out in the end
As of twoish days ago, this song has been living rent-free in my head, since the Karma Police doled out some much-needed justice to a certain yuppie gucci little piggy

Is there any info about the laughing sample and its origin? It sounds like it comes from a show or a movie rather than recorded for the song itself
