  • Do you want to know what it looks like to cross Lagos Nigeria Mega-city Center on a busy day ?
"Dive inside the belly of Africa's most populous city" is a video that allows you to immerse yourself in the city to feel the hectic life in the streets and markets of the economic capital of Nigeria.
Starting from LAGOS ISLAND, Idumagbo Junction, you will cross a big part of Lagos Island on a very busy Saturday before Christmas. Driving through the very crowded balogun and idumota markets, you'll cross Carter bridge to reach Lagos Mainland, Oyingbo, Yaba,... coming back from Bariga, you 'll see the new airport road, and the crazy go slows approaching the third-mainland bridge before turning to Ebute Metta...
I hope you will appreciate the immersion in that fascinating city ! Don t forget to give the video a thumb up and subscribe the channel.

Authentic! Without pretense! I felt as though I could reach through the screen, touch and feel. I saw the exhaust films and could vividly imagine the heat generated by the congestion of motor engines and people. Wonderful trip into the communities where the local citizens work, shop and live. The vibrant colors accompanied by the high fidelity sound caused me to engage in what I was seeing and experience the energy and vibrancy of the surroundings. I held my breath at the intersection where you nearly collided with another cyclist. No wonder there are so many dented and banged up vehicles, because there is a lack of traffic signs or traffic signals. Even walking appears to be hazardous to a person's health. And you are right about smoking and driving not being a good idea. Neither is eating food and drinking (including soft drinks) a good idea, which I am guilty of. The aerial views were fantastic!

@@beautyrayne8006 Thank you! Ludo Liu's Vlogs inspire me to write such comments. Currently I also subscribe to four other vloggers in Africa: Two in Tanzania, one in Ghana and another one traveling to different countries in Africa. There was one other vlogger in Ghana uploading content similar to Ludo. Although it was not of the same high quality, I still enjoyed it because the non-tourist areas and everyday people were highlighted. For some reason that channel and vlogs are no longer available.

One of the most unique videos I have ever seen on TH-cam. This is what you call thinking outside the box. What better place to shoot a concept like this than the raw, unique, unrefined and unedited streets of Lagos and its people. How Lagos continues to exist is impossible to imagine

People are busy and focused on getting to where they have to go. These 3 things could help Lagos relieve the traffic: 1) Have regular trash removal services. 2) build sidewalks and walkways with pedestrian lights. 3) Opening public transport routes, including a metro.

It really could! Or at least over ground. I was just looking at how Lagos-Island-Ikoyi is extrememly similar to Manhattan in that there is a highway system encompassing LI just as there is one encompassing Manhattan. This leaves the inside of Mahattan more fit for a compact internal intertravel system, and I think the same can be done with LI, or preferrably LI-Ikoyi.

Some people thrive in the chaos by being the hustler driver, street smart driver and others like me thrive in the chaos by being extremely careful. Driving in Lagos as a careful driver would have you keep every rule in the book and unwritten rules too. My driving instructor used to tell me 'assume every other driver is mad and you're the only sane one' so I drive while making room for mistakes of other drivers. A lot of us like being alive so for every mad driver there is a counter extremely careful driver ready to take their time.

Nigeria has so much potential with all its natural and human resources to be on par or better than all those developed countries in the west but it needs good governance. As an African who believes so much in Africa as the future superpower of the world, we need Nigeria as one of the leaders of our development for the continent to reach its full potential. I am hopeful, especially now with the youth rising up and hopefully taking control of their destiny going forward. Hopefully, visionary leaders (someone like Paul Kagame) can rise in Nigeria and take it to its rightful place as a giant in Africa and beyond. Love the video.

I'm from the USA, and I know these sort of market sectors are common in cities in Africa and Asia. I really hope by the time I have a chance to visit this doesn't change is any major way. something about these super dense market areas just feel so raw and full of life. The lack of traffic lights or any real road system shows a society that is ruled by social ettiquette.
