Hardly Did I write any Public Comment nor get extravagantly excited over anything. I am Stone Hardened by Nitty Gritty Life Experience with rather Harsh, Stoney, Granite, Disposition, However, I must admit that Live Pictorials of various Investment Holdings in Downtown Lagos, convincing enough, for any Fence Sitting, Reasonably Biased, Hard-Wired International Investors. Nevertheless, Impressive piece of work had won me over without saying a word... Stone Hardened Martins...The Gravity Way !...

I've been away from Nigeria for 13 years, and seeing this brings back a lot of nostalgia. One thing that surprised me is the sheer number of traffic offenses in this video alone! Reflecting on it now, I'm amazed at how we coped-people changing lanes without signaling, improper overtaking, running red lights, not yielding to pedestrians e.t.c
. I truly believe that if you can navigate the roads in Lagos, you can handle any road in the world.

thank you so much for watching this video my dear i really appreciate to see you coming around !
that video is actually very quiet, if you have few minutes more and want to take a dive into the life of Lagos Nigeria, i advice you to take a look at that video in the belly of the city, or the immersive drive i did . They both are in the Center of the megacity, in some very busy places. On both of them you may see hundreds of thousands persons busy working in the streets. So different from the quiet and organized place you are used to shoot.

I don't care how poor a city is, there is no excuse for all the unorganized streets, no lane markings and no red lights where there should be and causing all this chaotic driving. It's almost like there is no driving laws. It's ridiculous and doesn't have to be like that. The people deserve better from the city. It's like everybody is out for their selves and nobody else is around. And add to that the ever so frequent sound of horns honking, makes for nerve wrecking sight-seeing leisure drive thru the city to say the least. I can't imagine having to make that drive everyday. Kudos to the videographer and excellent driving skills and our safe arrival. It felt as if I was right there with you. Great video. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for posting it.

A great one-hour road tour of Lagos, proper. I enjoyed seeing campus square where I grew up initially in Lagos in the mid-1960s, and then on to Broad Street. I saw the old Central Bank building (across from Tinubu Square), where I worked from 1974-75. It was exciting to then see the old building on the left along Broad Street, where the Audio-Visual Aids Section of the Lagos State Ministry of Education was located. That was where I met my wife in 1973. Very nostalgic drive through our beloved Lagos, rough as it may be. Kudos for this video.

I remember the days when Tafawa Balewa Square was called Race Course and there was a cricket pitch there. Yes I am that old. My bus from Shell Club in Surulere used to terminate at Tinubu Square, there was no CMS bus stop then, although it was the Christ Church Cathedral that was my destination twice a week for choir practice as a choirboy. On Sundays we did the same journey by car. I witnessed the building of the Eko Bridge, the old Carter bridge was the only bridge to the Island in the days when I first started making the journey. I also witnessed the building of the National Stadium in Surulere and was present as a child at the All Africa Games in 1972. Needless to say then that I also witnessed the construction of the National Theatre at Iganmu. Lagos grew as I was growing, we grew up together.

Hi, I happened to come across your video by chance by just perusing TH-cam and find your video as very interesting and educational, first of all, allow me to express my sincere kudos and thanks for taking the time to record all your video despite all the risks involved, also I must commend you for taking the necessary steps to protect yourself for wearing a crash element in your daily undertakings of riding your motorbike in the craziest of crazy traffic where the rule of law and road decorum does not exist.
Most of the time when I was watching your video, my heart almost popped out of my chest with the driving and speeds involved, the meandering from one lane to another, tight with bumpy roads filled with pot holes, dilapidated taxi vehicles, lots of motorcycles, people driving the wrong way on a one way lane, vehicles parked on a narrow and tight streets, vendors hawking their wares and occupying a section of the road, vehicles reversing in the middle of traffic without any regards to human lives, What the fuck is wrong here, for unknown reasons, I thought, I was watching a horror movie but no it is real and also not fictional, shit!
I could not remember the Lagos I lived in a while ago as I was following your drive along the areas I frequently go to, the growth of the city is so enormous and breath taking and some areas just looked the same filled with dirt and trash every where, very disgusting I must say, I can't understand how can people live and breath with so much trash around them caused by them and not feel any shame, pitiful to say the least and shame on the Government and Local Government for allowing such nonsense, very disappointed to be honest with you, WTF is wrong with them?
Any how, back to your videos, I can't find the right words to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for again putting your life at risk to record each and every one of them, it is definitely a teach me moment, please keep it up and most of all be always safe, I will make sure my children watch your videos to see where their father is from and one day bring them home to see for themselves the difference in the daily life style in Lagos/Nigeria and here in the States.
Again, please keep up the good work and please, please stay safe

Very cool, and love the sounds. Mesmerizing! Just get lost in it, trying to imagine the sounds and smells and weather. Haven't been yet, although making plans as soon as it is possible given our times. Appreciated!

thanks a lot for your comment, that true that if smells could be part of the experience that could be very good.... the smell of the plantains or suya on the side of the street... smell of pepper or smell of the perfume of a lady in the market would add a lot to the experience....

my takeaway as an eastern african, the city seems huge and has a great potential to be a real megacity. road network looks good but bunch of horrible drivers and motorcyclists.. victoria island looks like my kind of a place i would stay if i visited there..recording for over 1 hr while driving is not easy, so good job..

Thanks for your vids & for showing the reality of both Lagos Mainland & Island.
A stark reminder of how majority of Mainland Lagos is a different & neglected country compared to the Lagos/Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Lekki et al that we would have the world see.
