There isn't anyone who doesn't like this song. This song, my all time favorite song, period, since I first heard it in my mid teen years, has never been overtaken, though some have come close. It does take me back whenever I hear it. So glad to see you like it so much, Elok.
Very nice review. When this song came out they said it was about ecology or about taking care of the environment (“before the sun is just a bright spot in the nighttime”.) LOVE Three Dog Night. 💕
This is a song that I have long forgotten, But it's a song that I love. It's such a great song. I saw them live many years after they were a thing, But thank you for reacting to this. And thank you to whoever recommended it. Yes, Elok, it's worth it.
Love Three Dog Night. I was in my early teens when they were huge. I still see them in concert every year. They still sound great. Edit: They are not in the HOF for the sole reason that they did not write most of their songs unfortunately.
This is also my favorite Three Dog Night song. Usually the vocals are the main point of interest in their songs, but for this song it’s the instrumentation that takes center stage. It’s glorious!
This is one of those songs from my youth that made it magical to be young. So glad you like it too! Have you heard Easy to be Hard by them from the play Hair? It’s very worth a listen!
I agree with you about them not being inducted into the Rand and Roll Hall of Fame. I believe the reason is that they did not write their own songs for the most part, which is possibly a disqualifier. All of their hits were covers from previous artists, believe it or not. Someone referred to Three Dog Night as the most successful cover band that ever was/is.
There are many acts in there that never wrote their own songs so that's out. Also, they almost never covered well-known stuff by established and acts and writers. They took them and made them and made their own and boosted many of the writers' careers. As long as they're not in the so-called R&R HOF, I'll always consider it a sham.
@@RicoCosta317 Can't blame you. I think it's a shame too. You make a good point about other groups. My Google query was only cursory. But it could be worth it to inquire further. I wonder how groups are nominated? Maybe a fan-driven inquiry to the R&RHoF might incite some positive action on their part. TDN is just one of the obvious Hall of Fame snubs. The Moody Blues are another. It was only rather recently that my favorite band, the Electric Light Orchestra was finally inducted.
Elok, I just discovered your channel and was pleasantly surprised to see that you reacted to one of my favorite songs and bands of all-time! I agree, there is no reason why Three Dog Night should not be in the Hall of Fame as they were hugley successful in the 1970s.
Three Dog Night is reference to Eskimos I think if it was really really cold in the igloo they would bring Dog in and if you brought three dogs in it was really cold ha ha

I have left many request of this on different channels and you made a great choice... Danny is the only member that is alive now and still in good health ....Paul Williams Roger Nichols are the composers and they have written many

They had some great songs super talent. The lead singer was also a basketball star in college I believe, and had other options as well.
Paul Williams the co writer. He's written lots of hit songs for Three Dog Night and others.
Awesome song!!!
One of the best concerts I've seen was Three Dog Night at Red Rocks in Denver 1970.
Providence, R.I. in 69,70, who the heck knows.
Your a sweetheart
Love watching your enjoyment of great music !
The Big Push - Heart Attack
Three dog night means the night is so cold you need three dogs to keep warm.

How are you finding all the songs I used to love when I was a kid? You have some serious skills, and I love it.
You are so funny 😂❤
