I have a Manza Quadrajet 2011 model. It's giving a strange problem. While running if I stop the car turn it off to go to a shop, come back in 5 mins & car doesn't start. Also while running if I stall the car in wrong gear then car doesn't start immediately I have to leave it for 30 mins then start, after that it runs fine. Is there any kind of timing like this?.
Check engine light is also On always.
Firstly the issue of light has to be tackled .
Get the car scanned address that issue then we can work upon car
Most probably as u r describing the issue i thing its timing sensor or cam sensor or both .
Thank you for the quick response. I removed the MAF sensor cable, started the car the light went off. Then repluged it back, tested engine light is gone.

Sir jabtak timing perfect nahi hogi , to injector pulse ke time pe temp. Perfect nahi hoga combustion chamber ka .

Does using any aftermarket air filter improve car performance? Do you know any good brands?
No sir no performance improvements seen as per some test results on dyno , just a mith , but yes a cold air intake can help , but safari is already equiped with one .
Performance air filter just increases induction noise , which sound a bit sporty giving a feeling of more performance .

Hello, your video inspired me and I bought 2013 4×4 safari last week. Now I found that one of the door close sensor is not working I don't know which one. It's not a big issue but it shows door is unclosed all the time on display. Please let me know if you can help me with this and how.
Sir door ajar sensor is located inside the door locks we have to manually inspect every door lock to figure out which lock is throwing a signal
And i will try to shoot a detailed video on this as well but it may take upto 15 days

Sir, my dicor, check engine light comes up when the speed crossess above 80km and while climbing. If we stop and restart, then the light goes off. What could be the fault? Is it associated with MAF sensor? How we can find out whether the maf sensor is working properly or needs to be replaced? Otherwise there is no pick up issues. Kindly reply sir.
sir , as per my experience with safari goes , in most of safari the wire of MAF sensor is too shot and it does not have any slack , so its constantly pulling on the connector , just reroute the wire to that it has a little snack , clean the connector and with help of a small screwdriver bent the internal pins of the connector just 0.5 mm to a side so that it can make better contact with the wires ( do not bend too much , as it can break ) , and clean the MAF sensor as well .

@Willem Jordaan yes, it was the ac switch wire inside the centre console which had poor insulation. The wire was getting short and the ac switch was getting warm outside which I had noticed. Thought it was normal until one day the ac stoped working and the switch didnot respond as if no current . with the ac being dead the problem of check engine light did not come up even at cruising at 110km. This lead our search to any wire shortage and it was there!!. The explanation for car entering into limb mode at 80km by the Tass person is that "small wire shorts will not affect the performance of the car and as it gains higher speed the ecu is programmed in such a way that it goes into limb mode to ensure the safety of the car." Changed the ac wiring and its perfect now.. 😁

Check it properly because water is the only thing that connect the two probes inside the sedimentor
and diesel is not conductive
So there are chances that water collection in the connector of sedimentor can also ignite the light on the cluster

Hai bro. Mine is Tata Safari 3 ltr of 2007. EGR and MAF sensor in one line through engine. The line/pipe that connect is moisture, oil is jamming inside it. Is this normal or problem. Pliz ...

@@yourDIYneeds I think there is no MAF sensor in my car, I bought it on second hand from Delhi. The MAF sensor I refer above is a MAP sensor, I checked but I didn't get MAF sensor on the air intake line

Its isopropyl alcohol.
You can use any cleaning liquid which does'nt leave any residue.
Isopropyl alcohol is the same thing which is applied on your skin by doctor before giving u a injection .

Sir chances hote hai . Bus jarrori nahi hai ki hamesha ECM cook ho jae , kabhi kabhi sirf main battery fuse ud jata hai or baki sab chejo ko bacha leta hai

I'm still on my roadtrip, deep in the Himalayas. So finding a mechanic is proving to be pretty hard.
My car randomly stalls when idling for 2-3 minutes. This issue began after an Indian oil guy overfilled our car with diesel.
Someone told me to keep the fuel cap open and run the car for 20-30 km. That fixed the problem (car has run 1000km since).
The issue has returned. I've taken care to ensure there's not extra fuel added, so i doubt it's the same issue. What could be the issue?
Could cleaning the MAF sensor help?
Another thing that bugged me was, before leaving for the trip-my multimeter was reading 15-15.5v when revving the car. Right now, my battery (with engine off) is reading 18-19v! But my multimeter's battery is very low, so it could be inaccurate
Edit: Read my battery, after an overnight rest and it's at 15.5v. I'll be trying to get hold of a 9v battery for my multimeter and retest reading
Maf sensor cleaning can help , but i think what it really is that fuel rail pressure is reading a little higher than the specified value and that is whats triggering the MIL lamp , maybe due to reduced barometric pressure in mountains . So nothing major to worry about , something due to lack of dense air turbo is also struggling to deliver the exact amount of boost required by the map sheet and that can also trigger the MIL
About the voltage of the electrical system , i guess it's the multimeter , but sometimes if the amount of fluid is reduced inside the battery than electrical system reads it as a low battery and then alternator supplies voltage as required by the battery to get charged as quickly as possible , so its better to check the level of electrolyte inside the battery cells as well .

As for the electrolyte level in the battery, I added distilled water to it yesterday (after the car stalled). The stalling I'm talking about only happened twice yesterday and didn't repeat in the last 40-50km (after adding water)
Also, there's no check engine light triggered.
Right now, I just cleaned MAF sensor. It had some grime.
The pipe that starts from the maf sensor and connects to the turbocharger is oily from the inside. Is that normal? The turbocharger seems shiny and clean

Sir speed sensor is located in transmission , just check for the loose connector of broken wire first , as speed sensors don't go bad easily

Sir technically we can , but most of the times those cleaners leave a residue behind when they dry up , and we want the sensor to be perfectly clean to perform in the best way possible
so what is ur advice
If possible use concentrated alcohol
Advisable to use MAS spray cleaner only as it dries up quickly...
Isopropyl alcohol also dries up within seconds

Turbo se ane wali awaj bhot type ki ho sakti hai ,ho sakta hai ki wo blow-off ki awaj ho ,jo bhot normal si chej hai ek turbo engine me .
Agar problem wastegate ki hai to turbo ke side me wastegate regulator laga hota hai jo turbo ki spinning speed ko regulate karta hai .
Agar turbo ko aj tak cheda ni gya to wo wastegate regulator kharab ho chuka hai n agar cheda gya hai to kai baar wastegate ko adjust karna padta hai .
Bhot kam cases me wastegate ko adjust karne ki need padti hai ,
Waise safari me garrett ka turbo use hota hai jo bhot hi kamm cases me faulty hota hai

There is a service indigator in safari models which are before 2010 manufacturing
It just shows when your service interval is coming near or you have already serpased your service period .
Or sometimes it also works in combination with MIL(CHECK ENGINE LIGHT). So without looking at it , it will be quite hard to tell

Sir ek bar car ki battery ka negative point nikal ke rakh do 15 min ke lie , and uske baad car ko start karna and 5 min ke lie start hi rehne dena , rpm increase hona clutch press hone pe, seems like a calibration issue

0:10 Bro, I'm horrified. There is only one screw on my air filter cover & no clamp around the Maf sensor tube. I believe it's the shady mechanic who was insisting on opening my turbo removed them & didn't put it back. Do you know where can I find new screws and clamp?
Sir just remove the one you have for sample , and take it to hardware store for same screws and for the hoze buy a 3inch hoze clamp from hardware store

I own a 2007 model safari Dicor. Check engine light glows frequently when the car is moving. And whenever this light glows the pickup is too poor . Pls Help me with a solution. We are not satisfied with the company response. They don't even checked anything . Pls help me
You really need to understand that its not company's fault
Problems like this which appers and disappears automatically are the hardest to track . And sometimes its not trackable at all .
But you said that it starts when the car is moving so it seems like a faulty crank or cam sensor or speed sensor ( can't be sure)
Because you never experienced it when the car is idling ,
So i guess sensors are reading a wrong input when the rotations rise .
But sir i will still advise you that go to a person or dealership who can scan your car and tell them to give a tap on accelator pedel while scanning . If it is cam or crank sensor it will show up

Could be various of reasons. Usually you can get the error from OBD tool.
Usually if your car lags and check engine light comes on there could be 2 problem. 1) Insufficient air. Primarily go for basic, check the air filter if it's clean. A sufficated engine will never give you pick up. If its okay turbo might be problematic it's vacuum actuator setting might have been disturbed or turbo itself might be worn out. You should also get vacuum line checked if there is proper vacuum and actuator solenoids are working properly. If your car has Air swirl actuator it should be checked too. EGR should be clean too. Carbon deposited EGR will also cause problems.
2) Problem could be with fuel side too. Clogged or damaged injectors could also lag the car with check engine light glowing.
You can only diagnose all these problem with T.A.S.S. there OBD has all the functions to test all the actuators individually. Generic OBD at local garages will not show or check codes which aren't memorized by ECU.

It means your MAF sensor is giving a wrong signal to ecu.
Either that sensor is covered with dirt ,you can clean it and if it is not the situation then it is the time to replace that sensor .

Get your turbo checked
If car is not revving more that 2500 in 5th gear it means that engine is not producing enough torque .
Most probably its the turbo, which is producing lesser boost than it should produce. it can just be wastegate which needs adjustment
Or
Injectors are not delivering enough amount of fuel required to go beyond 2500 in 5th gear on load .
