Enjoyed the video. I took a minibus from Zipolite to Oaxaca that took this road last October. It took about 7 hours, about an hour of which, it seemed, was driving through Pochutla on Monday-market day there.
Great video. Thanks🙏 I’ve been weighing the choice of driving or flying to Huatulco. I think I’ll fly🤣 TH-cam analytics has paid off👏🏻 new subscriber👍🏻
If you had to pick a town on the drive between Oaxaca and Huatulco to find a hotel and spend the night is there a specific one or two you’d pick? It would need to be somewhere in the middle of the drive as one of the reasons is to break up the drive.
The only town worth stopping in is San Jose Del Pacifico, if you watch the video again , go to about 4:51 in and you’ll see it. You would need to look on line to see what accommodations might be available. Good luck, have a great trip.
Those 3 wheelers are the same as tuk-tuks from Thailand - great memories of those....p.s. download the map before the trip, put it in offline mode and it will still navigate fairly well with no signal - did that in the UAE a few times

Thank you so much for the app info, we didn’t know you could do that, it would have been so helpful.
Did you rent a car? What type and how much was the rental?
Greetings, yes we rented a car at the airport in Oaxaca city, it was a saloon style about 700.00 for four days .
@@goingwalkaboutnow 700 mx or usd?
700 US
@@goingwalkaboutnow seems extremely high
You should research it on line yourself, that was the best deal we could get and you have to put a 1200.00 security deposit as well.
$300 seems like a bargain after seeing that road!
It’s not a leisurely drive, that’s for sure
Kiwi needs to use the map app!
As long as the app doesn’t need the internet, we had little to NO internet the whole way.
TopEs are speed bumps 😊
