- The Galleries of Justice has been a court there since at least 1375 and a prison since 1449. The Galleries contains the original cells, dungeons, 2 courtrooms, and medieval caves.
It is the only place in Britain where you could be tried, convicted, and sentenced. Some executions were even done at the entrance of the building. With all punishments such as whipping, imprisonment, and executions, there going to be lots of tormented souls that's are still lingering around the building.

Been nonstop watching the beyond the dark series, if there's one thing I'd like Josh to do, I'd want him to upload an uncut version of the investigations footage(excluding the start and the end of course) to his alt channel or a new playlist so that some viewers can hopefully spot/hear what Josh and his gang didn't in their initial review of their footages before editing. But then again, that's just my opinion, love the series and your exploring vids, keep uploading great contents like this.

i love both the exploring and haunted content and i love all the collabs. especially when you meet up with sam and colby cause i watch you all separately but love when you guys get together. but i definitely love the idea of maybe having another channel or another platform to post the longer version or uncut / unedited version of all the videos, i would definitely tune into those. but as always love the content and the new places and having new or different people so i’ll always tune in!

These videos are my favourite! Love how respectful you are to the spirits and the debunking! You guys did a wonderful job with the ouji board and ended it correctly which was refreshing to see- many people skip that part because they’re too scared. I’d like to suggest bringing in someone who does divination to communicate with spirits via ouji, dowsing rods etc. if doing this stuff your self is out of your comfort zone! Might bring a interesting angle too!

Josh and guys, remember this: If something started to follow you after Ouija session, or something happens which is not welcome, you have to come back to this same location with Ouija board and demand spirit not follow you and spirit is not welcome to come this side and demand spirit to go back and stay there. This was just a advise.

You should definitely go. I visited while I was in school for GCSE history, I've never forgotten about this place. My favourite school trip and it was this building that made me fall in love with the history of crime and punishment.

I feel like it was definitely more difficult to communicate with any spirits here, they aren’t use to modern language/words, they definitely spoke completely different and probably didn’t understand what you guys were saying for the most part so it’s amazing you guys got as much evidence as you did!

The English language is almost completely different now, we’ve passed through Shakespearean dialect etc, especially with new tones and accents
@@sarahmadalinee I highly doubt that the changes over 200 years are of such magnitude as to render present day language incomprehensible!! I mean look at some of the famous authors of the era - the Bronte sisters, Jane Austen, Dickens, HG Wells, Mark Twain, Tolstoy, Wordsworth - that's just off the top of my head! All writing in the 1800's!

I absolutely love this place! I first went here when I was 10 with school ( as there is also a school attached) ( more than ten years go) . I’ve been about ten times and haven’t been for years. Still can’t get used to it being called national justice museum and not the galleries of justice! The enactments are fantastic. I can’t wait to go again, it’s nice to see it hasn’t changed. Even when I first went at the age of ten, in the cells entities around us. It’s not a nice place down there or the dungeon. Never been to the caves though but I live quite close to Nottingham luckily. Can’t wait to go again. Fantastic video josh and the gang! From a uk fan.

Ever since I found the beyond the dark series I’ve been so interested. A few years ago I was obsessed with the abandoned series. Im so happy I founded this channel again two months ago. I’ve been binging the beyond the dark series. I want to do something like this with my friends in a few years. I feel things kind of like Seth, and im not just saying that to look cool. Great video josh the galleries of justice is insane I used to live just round the corner from it and can remember once when my children was little we had some activity has my home was on top of the caves that was under the building and went to a conference there and a clock fell off the wall

Oldest place I’ve been to was a church built 900 years ago in Poland, as well as the salt mines! That, or the beautiful falls and hot springs of Iceland… who knows. That is such a cool place, those underground caves! Great history so far. Can’t wait to finish the ep

I've had family members that have actually quit working there because of how active it got at night.

@@ExploringWithJosh your very welcome. You have some nerves of Steel. I'd love to do ghost hunting. I've had ghosts in most properties I've lived in since I was a child. Apart from 1 house and that was a poltergeist we soon moved out when we found a ouji board in the loft .(attic.) While doing some repairs.
The second video of this trip where I've been blessing myself. There was definitely something evil in that cave and I'm glad you guys decided to end the season straight away.
I swear I'm not superstitious, but when watching some parts of this video, I could feel a very negative energy force field around me in real life. I don't even believe in ghosts/demons really. But just in case, I have to warn all of you in the comments. My mom told me when I was young, that watching certain things can bring demons. I don't really believe it that much, but why did I feel tickling on my arms, and why did my hair feel like it was being brushed? And why did I feel like I could detect an "evil" force field around me IN REAL LIFE?

Hey bro, I've been watching these accidentally all backwards lol! Love all your content, what you should do for when you go into dark, as silly as it sounds put an eye cover for 30 minutes before you dark out, and one eye will be adjusted to the dark already and can help you navigate a little better. You should see about exploring haunted places in Ontario Canada, my home ish town!

This is giving me flash backs to when I visited this place with my school for history. I won't lie, it was one of my favourite school trips. I'd never imagine this place to be haunted. If you're looking for recommendations maybe try the Screaming woods in Kent in a place called Daring Woods, I went there myself personally and got a few bits on my uncles EMP detector.

Oh my god! I didn’t know you guys went to Nottingham! I actually had a weird experience there.
I was in a secondary school trip to the Galleries of Justice, and I remember being at the exercise yard and I felt like being watched there. I kept looking behind my back and felt someone was ducking away when I turned around. It was so weird.
