    I gotta say I dont agree that meditation doesnt help concentration, its true that you need to concentrate in order to meditate, but your brain practices concentration when you try to meditate each time, and just like muscles build themselves when you workout, your concentration improves each time you practice concentration, as your brain makes more neurons conncetions.
    thats my honest opinion, id like to hear yours too

      I think whole point about meditation is to know your self , it creates mental calmness and it help in a lot of way if you perform it daily bt what he is trying to say is that concentration is different and meditation is different, you can't say with daily meditation we build concentration cause we have to apply in the whole day long practice of concentration to support meditation at best.

  • @rajusaar
    @rajusaar 3 ปีที่แล้ว +20

    I have been meditating for more than a decade by His grace. I humbly want to share my experience here for whatever it is worth. Meditation happens just like sleep happens. It is a birth right of every human. All we do is to provide a conducive environment, just like we do for sleep. To prepare a conducive body, breath and mind to allow meditation to happen, does not take hours. Meditation is the art of doing nothing. It is the most effortless thing on this earth to do. More effortless than breathing. If one is doing something, one is not meditating. Meditation does not necessarily need one to be able to concentrate. A seeker should seek in-person sessions to get started with meditation. Short talks or books are inappropriate for things that need to be "experienced" and not "learnt".

    1.meditation is not gonna help you to concentrate because meditation requires a lot of concentration
    2.An beautiful analogy : Usain bolt
    A day filled with routine to get ready for the d day.
    3.i should also make myself ready for the mediation
    4.you have spent 23 hours to get ready for 1 hour of meditation
    This is exceptional
    5.i should spend all day to increase concentration to get better at mediation by concentrating on everything I do .
    You get better at what you repeatedly do.
    Thanks a lot ❤️.

      Even if u r not able to concentrate. Just do a 10 minute meditation straight away sitting in bed. Do for 21 days. Later u will automatically do. Difference is the first 21 days u r telling ur body to do meditation. After 21 ur body will tell u do this first now.
      Point to note here.
      1. Do not to get down from bed and let ur feet touch ground then u will ground ur energy otherwise u can get more concentration.this is my observation.
      2. Do not use ur phone, otherwise ur waking uo ur mind to wander n distract u.
      3. Just focus on breath n sitting is a very simple meditation. No force. Just be as u r. Or even u can focus on ur third eye observe breadth.
      4. Hamsa meditation. Google it u will find its benefits. Its benefits will carry forward to life after lifes.

    I've learned a lot from this guy. He simplified things down to the point where the light bulb went on. I give my undivided attention to what I am doing at the moment and to whomever I am speaking. I do this everyday all day. Nothing else worked and I'm talking about years of trying. Seriously life changing.
    Now when I meditate that is what I concentrate on with no distractions.

    So what exactly are we preparing for ? To let go? Is that what karma yoga is ? You engage and give the best of you and then you can let go with peace in your heart?

      To see things clearly. Kind of like like during a relaxing shower and you have a great idea or when you go on a 1-2 week peaceful vacation and start to realize things in your life and things you are going to change when you get back. There are prerequisites for meditation. One has to get ones life in order to eliminate most of the distracting thoughts. This was taught 2500 years ago by Buddha and probably others before him.

      @@livingright2439 yea I realized I can’t stay consistent with things and even meditation practice . So what we’re saying is basically if I can’t keep a consistent meditation practice it’s cuz I’m not being consistent with practical responsibilities. So there’s a lot of guilt and disparity . It’s a loop cuz instant meditation suppose to help with guilt and suffering in the first place . Imean I guess everyone is different then? If meditation don’t help you then following up with day to day responsibilities and pursuing goals will help right? Then we can meditate . Meditation prepares us for life and life prepares us for meditation. I’m stuck in that paradoxical loop

    • @livingright2439
      @livingright2439 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Spiritualitygonwild Let me correct what I said before. It’s more like day to day responsibilities are a corequisite to meditation. Don’t think of it as a loop but as a spiral staircase leading up to higher awareness and success. Buddha’s path has 3 main divisions, wisdom, morals/ethics and concentration. For simplicity sake in the beginning, consider the things you learn as wisdom, doing right day to day as ethics/morals and meditation as concentration. An example would be meditation in the morning, doing right day to day during the day and gaining knowledge/wisdom through learning at night. Or whatever works for your schedule.

      In Kaliyug, nobody can meditate.
      Chant 'Hare Krishna' Mahamantra 108 times daily without closing your eyes and you should hear your chants. Keep your eyes on Shri Krishna's photo
      Hare Krishna :)

    It's very good to see how he started with jeans and tshirts seven year's ago and ending up with this attire a year later.
    Has meditation got anything to do with the attire? Or is is standard marketing to prove that he has attained wisdom!
