For 30 plus years I helped build other people’s dreams because I did not have a clear vision for myself. At the end of that 30 some years I had nothing except the clothes on my back. This life lesson has taught me self-love.
I am committed to finish everything that I start and show my son what that looks. Starting by finishing my sleep routine, finishing my morning routine, finishing my mid day routine, finishing my evening routine and finishing my end of day routine.
Jim Kwik, as far as I see in this video is an excellent interviewer. He lets the subject talk and explain himself without unnecessary interruption and he is also an excellent listener. Well done!
Honestly this man is right. You get motivation on doing certain tasks or goals but that motivation seems to disappear into thin air. I definitely will put into perspective what I learned in this video. Thank you for this message!
Yes i agree on Conscious Practice on Willpower Makes our life so Discipline and Purposeful. Like a Concentration, Affirmation,Self Talk, Visualization,Yoga, Awareness Practice etc...
This video was packed with great information. Kudos Jim Kwik he was better at asking the appropriate question/s to dig deeper on the topic. My takeaways for this video; 1. Understand love, will power & discipline 2. Developed your will power by finishing what you have started. 3. Build your own rituals in your life. 4. Introspection and self-awareness is key to will power. 5. Interpret your purpose and passion in life.
I like where he said if you don't know what you want, you'll never be driven. I sometimes confuse willpower and discipline but thank you for this video Jim
Thank you for this video Dandapani and Jim! During quarantine my mental health has been getting worse and worse however I've had so many goals that I've wanted to achieve. In the end I always failed to achieve them because I felt no purpose and had very little willpower. I will remember your words and implement the strategies you recommended to get my life back together :)
I Love the how to approach. To many times you listen to teaching and its a lots of information but do not tell you how to apply the information. Thank you for your how to approach.
Wow - Super - life is simple but we make it complicated. This was one of the most meaningful message that I have absorbed. Thank you Dandpani and Jim for sharing
Beautifully shared, find the love in your life that will instill discipline to build your willpower. Whether its family, G-d, or whatever matters most use that to charge you with perseverance not short lived hollow motivation.
Such matter of fact practical deep advice. He really guides people to understand their own deepest motivations behind their goals before they worry about how to get the goal. so refreshing.
Great interview and I am doing most of your suggestions. I started a 3 day fast July 4th. At first it was to lose weight but in the end of third day I built enormous willpower. I have continued fasting daily and although weight loss happened, I am amazed at the changes I have come to know. I make my bed every morning after my shower I take time to sit outside and commune with nature. I also started a new job two weeks ago that I am passionate about. All good comes from finally realizing what our passion is. Thank you for reminding me.
I love this interview, easy to understand and implement, eloquently delivered. So often it's the simple things that can make a huge difference. Thank you.
Love both of these guys! Regarding finding of purpose, just want to mention that doing a professional astrological birth chart calculation of all planets and houses helps immensely. And of course, meditate - go with in:)
Your body houses your mind and houses your soul take care of your body with discipline. You have to love something deeply to create that discipline. Love your body deeply. 🙏
one more thing: your passion is different from your purpose. IN fact you don't have a purpose, but you certainly have a passion about something. Purpose is manufactured, passion is natural. Passion means fire. They say, if you want to pursue a spiritual life, you need to burn a little. If you are burning enough, you don't care about purpose, you just want to do what you want to do. What I want to say - don't look for the purpose, find your passion and follow it (unless it is harmful to other beings). And it doesn't have to be spiritual path. If your passion is mathematics or art, or whatever - go for it and it will give you a fulfillment.
thankyou both, great energy bridge. 'put that folded laundry aesy"🙏❤. thankyou for the distiction of discipline and will; the driver of each became clear. Inow have a richer fuller grasp on chop wood , carry water.🥰😄 I understood snd the pointings began to effortlessly thread together...making the fabric much stronger 🙏🌹❤☮blessings.
I am mentally aroused by Danda Pani philosophy of wisdom and understanding. Danda Pani how can I be of service to you from where I am at in this space of time ? I also feel a pleasantness over my mind and I always feel more aware when I hear you speak. Thank you 🙏
Well' i would really want to find out my purpose and hence sitting with myself for 5 min everyday is a great start. And also help me discipline myself. Thank you.
Olympia LePoint, Jim Kwik, Dandapani. Gather their teachings in your mind, better you love, your life your passion your focus your concentration. Your mind/brain 🌅🌎🌙.
I hope you see this and respond to my question, Jim. About daily rituals, I have difficulty agreeing with what is established because no matter how hard I try I have never been consistent enough and this makes me sad. Here's why. As a student, I have a limited amount of available time I control. I don't control the time for my lectures and it's time-consuming. The schedule for classes differs each day. Sometimes I may just have a few hours in between but then it is always less productive. How then can I engage in rituals when I have limited time to control and I still have to rest, eat, do assignments, study for my exams? It's overwhelming and frustrating most of the time😔😔😔😪
hmm... completion of the moment is actually part of Santosha Sadhana, which is a supportive system for Tapah. it overlaps at best. I like your take on motivation/inspiration vs desire/love/purpose. also what I find important is an honest assessment of the current state of your willpower and start from there, making small steps, slowly building up. another important point is rituals vs routine. hmm..., but still this is all nice and correct, never the less only support systems for developing willpower. appetizer if you will, not the main dish. developing willpower and heat in the system requires friction, resistance, and the ability to use it to your advantage. calibration is very important. what is too little and what is too much? with that comes confidence. without confidence, you can not build your willpower. many many more aspects to this, but enough for now.
I prefer spending tym with myself despite of Sharing company with others it makes me feel more concerned about my flaws😊 n sorting em out Feeling ov pleasure
When you are alone in a place that normally has people in it like a school your ability to imagine and see people in the empty hallways happens. You know they are not there but if you see something out of the corner of your eye and turn your head and there is nothing there. But there is no body to ask "did you see something". Well no one except yourself. Here is where you find out if you listen to your self or ignore yourself. If you don't listen to that inerself and you have spent your life pushing that voice aside when you are alone that is the only person you have to ask "did you see something"or "was there something there?"And I'd you have cultivated a dialogue with yourself you will still have creepy moments but you will have a familiar partner instead of a hurt and ignored and iner self that you don't know and they know all your secrets and fears and probably won't be wanting to assist or comfort or be there for you. In life you are the person the is always going to be there with you and I'd _when we develop this friendship/relationship we simply are more! More in every way any person is in any and every way. No one is More valuable in our life than this person! And these skills are how we meet and learn about them! I spend time alone a lot . And i do know some of myself but you have explained a perception that i want to see more of! Thank you ..!!
Hi Gia This is a good talk however there isn’t enough guidance/ suggestions on how to find your purpose. For those who have trauma they aren’t able to easily sit and be introspective. Often people with trauma when they sit get overwhelmed with sensations of overwhelm. It would be great to bring in awareness around meditation when there is trauma. Thanks for the discussion and tips

Namaste, I am grateful that the ancient wisdom of India and Hinduism ( yoga and meditation) is being appreciated and adapted all over the world now...
Oh stop it, ancient wisdom.. it’s like saying the ancient technology of the west is powering our lives, electricity, internet, roads, space, medicine
Yes its true "Self discipline increase our will power "
Why does self-discipline increases will power? Is there a science to it?! Why not maybe aggression increases wil-power?!

for over 37 ys I've been helping other believe in their possibilities and that helped me understand what my purpose of life is.

Hi Gia
This is a good talk however there isn’t enough guidance/ suggestions on how to find your purpose. For those who have trauma they aren’t able to easily sit and be introspective. Often people with trauma when they sit get overwhelmed with sensations of overwhelm. It would be great to bring in awareness around meditation when there is trauma. Thanks for the discussion and tips
