The problem with the carbon built up is not a defect pvc - its the internal valve timing to reduce emission - a one point you have a point where both valves are open, so exhaust gasses get sucked into the inlet and build this carbondeposits up. Theres nothing you can do about that, when you drive hard, use good gasoline and a thicker oil (i use 15w50 - but only in summer) you can reduce it a bit. But in the end you have to walnutblast this thing about every 30-40k kilometers....
@DasJav the b7 rs4 is an amazing car, not the fastest rs but the normally aspirated high revving v8 is amazing. With any car like this comes big bills. Get a bad one and the costs snowball out of control. I'd have one one day though!
Two of the best car's, Audi RS4 and MK4 R32 owned a deep blue pearl R32 but lost it in a flood 😢. Looking to get a 2007 RS4, in the states they never offered an Avant version only sedan!
The problem is not engine size its injection type, rs4's are direct injection so the fuel doesn't clean the valves, your b6 is traditional injection so it does, meaning they don't really carbon up.
@@SuperRon thanks as I’m in the market for purchasing a b7 avant next month , I’ll definitely bring it to you guys for a carbon clean as your videos have given me piece of mind thanks 👍
I figure if you are not letting the oil vapor enter the intake tract then there shouldn’t be any build up. It should be a clean system right up to the valves. You can clean out the catch can/filter anytime and much easier. The only thing is you’re not burning the oil vapor for whatever power benefit that provides. When I buy an RS4 I’ll try it out. My Ford F-150 has a PCV valve and routes the oil vapor into the intake manifold. Recently I took it apart to replace the timing chain and it was a huge mess thanks to the oil vapor entering the intake.
Carbon cleans on a V8 start from around £500, from memory the b8s dont suffer the same pcv problems as the b7 so would need to check on that, not sure on injectors. Feel free to get in contact with autoshack for a quote, details in the description
how do you get carbon deposits ..i have an s4 with 80.000kms .. my valves are clean as new ..no deposits of nothing at all . is it from the petrol quality ?
It's because these have direct injection that injects fuel straight into the cylinder not into the inlet and over the valves cleaning them like a traditional setup.
For a RS4 prices start from £500 for a carbon clean, then depends if you want a new pcv valve, injectors, other bits replaced. Get in touch with us at autoshack for a quote if you want to know more
They revised the factory part does improves things. People don't seem to run external ones for some reason, not sure if it upsets the pcv system or anything 🤷♂️
@@SuperRon just told my b7 needs done , had issues over the last 2 years , I just txt back and said to take out flaps as well , the issue was knock sensor so this has lead to more jobs , funny manifold needs painted as well , list goes on
Love this! I'd consider driving all the way from Germany so you'd do mine. Excellent work m8, subbed!
Thanks very much 😁
Nice to see a trustworthy tech that does the job properly so many rip off techs and bodge artists out there!!! well done m8
Thanks for watching, we pride ourselves on all our work here at Autoshack 😁

Like how clean you guys work and how you put protection on the vehicle. 👍🏽

@@SuperRon From your experience on maintenance and costs, is it wise to purchase one?

So much satisfying job ever. Well done!
It's great to see and end result like this 😁

One of our other customers does own both a b7 RS4 and a mk4 r32, both featured in previous videos 😁 thanks for watching
Cool Video! Good Job Guys!
Thanks for watching 😁
Yes mate they are those seats from the b8, I’m looking for them but with suade as the rest of my interior is already!
I thought they were! Thanks for watching 😁
Awesome video i am looking to get one 😉
Thanks for watching 😁
Amazing job !
Thanks for watching 😁
Nice job. I have the same rs4. What should cost me such operation? All inclusive like you did, injectors ...
Prices vary depending on parts, prices start from £500 for a basic walnut blast, get in touch at autoshack for a quote, thanks for watching 👍
New subscriber here. Greetings from Denmark
Great to hear, welcome and thanks for watching 😁
How did you turn the crank? Looks like you're off to the side.
The crank doesn't have a centre bolt, so you turn the alternator slowly and the belt turns the crank. 24mm socket on the alternator pulley
Great job 👏 👍 owner of b7 rs4 ❤it
Thanks for watching 😁
Awesome work! I have b7 rs4 that defo needs a carbon clean and a nee pcv valve. Where are you guys located? Thanks.
We are near Ipswich in Suffolk. Feel free to get in touch 😁
Hi
Great content!
Would you happen to know a place that offers same service closest to Yorkshire ? Thanks
No sorry I don't
Rotors looks soo good on the B7😮💨
They look good on anything
Hey, you happen to know what size Yokohama tyres are on the rims?? Any info would be much appreciated. thanks!
I've just tried zooming in on some pics I had but cant make it out unfortunately
would my audi a4 b6 1.8t benefit the same way like the rs4, or does it benefit the rs4 more, since its a 4.2 L ?
The problem is not engine size its injection type, rs4's are direct injection so the fuel doesn't clean the valves, your b6 is traditional injection so it does, meaning they don't really carbon up.
Did you change the gasket on the inlet where the two parts come apart? I cannot find this gasket anywhere
No this gasket isn't available, we have tried to find it too. we re-use it without any issues.
How often do you recommend a carbon clean on a b7 rs4 saloon/avant?
We had a FSH 50k car in which was very clogged, so would probably say 30-40k miles to keep it optimum
@@SuperRon thanks as I’m in the market for purchasing a b7 avant next month , I’ll definitely bring it to you guys for a carbon clean as your videos have given me piece of mind thanks 👍
I’m looking to buy one of the B7 sedans. Can you reroute the PCV tubes to a catch can to keep the oil vapor from going back into the intake system?
Fitting a catch can wont solve carbon build up,it will be a waste of money.
I have seen people fit catch cans between the heads, whether it works or not I don't know.

Great video, what carbon tool/vacuum is that?
It's a Autool crushed walnut blaster. Thanks for watching 😁
How do you clean it in the s8 4.0t ?
We haven't done the newer gen engine yet, but it would be the same, inlets off and walnut blast.
How much would this be on a B8 S5 with injectors checked and a new PCV?
Carbon cleans on a V8 start from around £500, from memory the b8s dont suffer the same pcv problems as the b7 so would need to check on that, not sure on injectors. Feel free to get in contact with autoshack for a quote, details in the description

Why don't people run catch cans on these cars to help with the carbon build up?
They revised the factory part does improves things. People don't seem to run external ones for some reason, not sure if it upsets the pcv system or anything 🤷♂️
What type of wheels are those, would like to get them as they look amazing
They are 19inch Audi Rotors, of a b8 rs4
Brilliant…:) 🥂🤙 Go Quattro.
I’ve got a a4/b7 diesel would this benefit my car?
Yes diesels do suffer from carboning up too
