I Tried Every Everything Bagel (GLUTEN FREE VERSION) 🥯

- What gluten free bagels should I be eating when I don't want to pay for Modern Bread & Bagel's shipping fees? This is the hard-hitting question I answer today.
My favorite bagel is an Everything Bagel with (dairy free) cream cheese. Simple. Timeless. So for this challenge I taste test Everything bagels made by some gluten free powerhouse brands - Schar, Udi's, Canyon Bakehouse, Greater Knead, O’Doughs, Trader Joes, and Queen Street Bakery. You can find the first 5 of those bagels at Wegmans, and the others at either Trader Joe's or shipping from Canada.
I'll learn about the taste, texture, price, ingredients, and nutrition facts of these 7 gluten free bagels and ultimately choose my favorite of them all.
All opinions are my own and I am truly a fan of most of these brands. I just wanted to be fair and objective in this video, so I hope I don't come off harsh or anything haha.

Love O'Doughs bagels, unfortunately they're hard to find and not always in stock even in stores that carry them.
I love me some Canyon!!! Their bagels are my go to! Everything 🤤 It took practice to get them the perfect consistency in the toaster oven… and now you don’t have to freeze them!! You used to.

O’Doughs is definitely a favorite, as are Against the Grain bagels when I can find them (frozen)!

Great video, shocking ending! Trader Joe’s is my favorite. I was convinced that Aldi’s were the less seasoned rejects from TJ’s line, they were actually so good and affordable. I’m super bummed they’re discontinued. But anyway I think O’Dough’s are fine if you know what you’re getting into which is more like a bagel thin.
Trader Joes is the best GF Bagel I've tried so far, never got to try O'Doughs tho :O

Honestly, I’ve just been taking a piece of white gf bread that I have, slapping some butter on it and pressing it into everything bagel seasoning and then toasting it in a pan. Works like a charm. Tastes great. U get all the seasoning ur heart desires.

I don't know how I feel about you char-ing your bagel when toasted, but I agree, love o'doughs. I have some in my fridge currently! I want to try the Against the Grain bagels but didn't purchase when I saw they're like $12 and didn't know if they'd suck!

i think the untoasted review and the fact it had no holes made it sound less positive but i thought it was solid. i’m a big canyon guy
Speaking as a true New Yorker, the only one that should even be considered a bagel is Greater Knead. The rest are rolls with holes in the middle.
I love the O’Doughs! Can’t get them in Hawaii anymore so I buy them when I visit family in Washington and fly back with them.

The best Everything Bagels that are GF are from The Little Northern Bakehouse in my opinion but maybe you can only get them at Canadian stores…

I don't know if they changed their recipe in recent times but i tried o'doughs a couple years ago and hated it. It had a terrible texture that wasn't like a bagel to me. I wonder if they have changed their recipe since then? Hmm

i was searching far and wide in there. i thought it was just my aldi that didn’t have it until i looked it up

Three Brothers Bakers makes an amazing Rye bread...idk if they make bagels.
Man I’m surprised to hear you say Canyon Bakehouse is your favorite. Last time I tried them they were spongy and wet no matter how much I toasted the bread. My personal go to is Schar bread cause I can stand eating it even not toasted.
schar is one of my favorites too for sure. their artisan bread specifically and the deli style
IMO Trader Joe’s shines brightest in the burger bun category more than anything else. Bun texture so good I was worried they weren’t GF.

When you consider cost, you HAVE to consider weight. You just went by cost, when it really should be per ounce. You compared a 50g bagel (where two is a serving, so you really get three bagels) to a 128g bagel. It would be nice to know the comparison by ounce or package weight so we really know which is the cheapest.
my canyon everything bagels have holes in them and taste super garlic and oniony
the hole thing i figured was a fluke but funny nonetheless. they tasted good even tho my batch wasnt super everything-y

This is an excellent round up of store bought! Recently, I’ve stopped buying store bought and just order and freeze the Modern Bread and Bagel sesame and everything bagels.

Unpopular opinion I don’t like schar that much and am not impressed with their products 😂😂 I really love canyon bakehouse bread period and their bagels are my fav, however I like plain bagels and adding stuff to it, to be fair though I haven’t gotten to try half the brands you showed and haven’t seen them in any stores in my area so I’m not sure what I would think of the others. I really loved blueberry bagels and want a blueberry gf bagel, I think canyon has one or did, however have never seen it in any stores near me. 😅

Huh. I do NOT like canyon house bagels. They have such a bizarre texture to me. I think Trader Joes have been my favorite so far...
