I have a *lot* of thoughts on this volume and most of them are bad sorry not sorry I don't understand why Weiss has a hard time believing they're actually in the Ever After, like, my sister in christ, so what if it was a fairy tale? The maidens were one too, the girl in the tower was one too, you've gone through this revelation in the Branwen settlement and in Haven, Why are we having this again? The conversation that Weiss and Ruby were having on the path to the town got left hanging, why did we even have that? We gotta see Jinxie again, he was overhyped if we don't Also interesting how Ruby was drawn to Penny's sword but not Yang's arm since the sword didn't exactly belong to her but Yang's arm did by proxy. Blake said Alyx knew by heart which of the items was hers, Yang kinda just took an unsure guess by the size and shape, wasn't a guess by heart. But the façades of the items were related to their original forms. The scepter, as Yang said, was vaguely arm shaped, the bunny thing was representative of another mammal I guess, and the little doll, obvious Penny reference. Ruby's little speech about Penny was beautifully done, whipped up to convince the red soldiers but also very real. Also interesting how Penny's sword still exists, I thought it would've disappeared when she died but I guess it's not magic in itself, it was just created via magic, but what is it made of? Overall we seem to be moving at a pace that will land us in Vacuo by the middle of the second half of the volume if I were to wager But I cannot say that I like the writing It was fine until now but watching this episode I found myself asking "why would you write it that way" at the screen Mostly with Yang and Weiss's characterizations. They straight up are not themselves this volume. Or Weiss is just going mad.
Weiss never cared much for the fairytales and never believed them really, the conversation between them getting cut short was showing how withdrawn and checked out Ruby is, and many more deep meanings and reason for these questions. I actually think the writing is cool, and Ruby finally getting her arc where everything comes to a head. It’s gonna be good.
@@DocMicrowave You know Little's attitude on life right now reminds me of how Ruby acted when we first meet her, an innocence that she has lost over the time fighting Salem. Lets look back to Volume 1 "I'll...keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge--to hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose - direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step." In this world name seem to equal purpose so perhaps Little will help Ruby rediscover herself?
@@tenofprime You make a very good point. Hadn't looked at Little in that light. Perhaps Little will help Ruby regain that innocent optimism she once had.
@@tenofprime Crazy thought... What if Little *is* Ruby's hope, personified? The space in between the two kingdoms they fell through might be more... "willing" to play with reality. The fact that we see the worst of the few moments before RWBY + Jaune + Neo + others fell off the path from Ruby's perspective would be soul crushing enough to make one lose hope. What if Ruby literally lost her hope somewhere during all that and its manifested itself in the form of Little, who we just happen to find out is too young to have a name yet. Then there's the fact that Little pops up behind the glass jar that Jinxy wants filled with hope; the obvious implication is that Little had more than enough, but this wouldn't be the first time an obvious (and true) story implication was a mask for a deeper meaning, not even within RWBY, so I posit that its possible for Little to also be Ruby's hope, the hope she would have had to pay for the doll/sword. Another crazy thought, what if Little is a reborn Penny. There's some mirroring in how both Penny and Little just straight up befriended and took joy in being acknowledged as Ruby's friend very quickly after first meeting her. We don't know how the rules of the space that held the path work, so it might be possible that lives lost there were reborn in the Ever After. Pure speculation, and I'm sure there's dozens of holes in my two theories, but food for thought if nothing else.

Just a friendly heads up, but even though V9 is on CR for now, the same guidelines for reactions like in the past, meaning that you're meant to wait a week before uploading reactions (i.e. people uploaded their reactions for ep 1 today when ep2 was released and next saturday they can upload their reaction videos for ep 2 and so on.)
Hard disagree. That used to fly back when the episodes were out only a week after they aired for FIRST on RT, but now that they are on a completely different third-party site and gated off from folks to watch for free for a year; there is really no reason to keep to that format.
@@quicksilver36 Like it or not that is what RT is still going by, they could say no reactions at all like some companies do. A 1 week delay is what has been standard for years.
@@tenofprime It's been standard cause that's how their website worked. The FIRST members got it early and then it was available for everyone for free a week later, so it made sense that it would be cool to release it a week later since everyone can just go watch it anyway, the reactor's were just adding extra content. In fact, reading through their community guidelines on what they prefer for reaction videos, no-one should be actually posting reactions for Volume 9 until a year from now since that's when they will be available for free to watch on the RT site when they say it's cool to post the reaction videos.

@@DocMicrowave I did notice the ray of light started shining in when Blake switched to planning a way out near the end of episode 1 so I think it might be reacting to the others as well in some way.
@@tenofprime Perhaps.
The same thing happened where the weather suddenly cleared up near the end of episode 2 when Ruby moved from lamenting over Penny to focusing on moving forward with the plan to see the King.
Big warning folks. Whatever you do, do not go to the crunchyroll comments sections for this episode. The Bumbleby fans started a gang war there, and so far there's no surivors.
Figures, but not surprising. Unfortunately It will eventually spread here as well.
They are so disgusting
thx for letting me watch the episode for free
I guess this is where Ruby will be the one to come back to remenant but changed and no longer herself.
I know there's some references to the racoon....but right now i feel he is based on the Japanese tanuki.... racoon dog.....known for causing mischief and tricking with illusions.....if not respected they harm worse
Rip penny rip Parra my favorite two characters❤❤❤
Nothing tears one's heart out like losing Penny...again. 😢
To us, as espectators, maybe obvious that Yang and Blake have something, but it doesn't have to be that obvious to Ruby that had most important things to becworried about, so, i dont blame her, lets hope that she restores her hope and strenght again and then have more time to put attention to her teammates
Alice in Wonder Lands movie is very different from the book. It does seem like it's following the book version over the movie as well.
Final, thier personalitys are coming back, am I the only one getting dress rosea vibes?
I have a *lot* of thoughts on this volume and most of them are bad sorry not sorry
I don't understand why Weiss has a hard time believing they're actually in the Ever After, like, my sister in christ, so what if it was a fairy tale? The maidens were one too, the girl in the tower was one too, you've gone through this revelation in the Branwen settlement and in Haven, Why are we having this again?
The conversation that Weiss and Ruby were having on the path to the town got left hanging, why did we even have that?
We gotta see Jinxie again, he was overhyped if we don't
Also interesting how Ruby was drawn to Penny's sword but not Yang's arm since the sword didn't exactly belong to her but Yang's arm did by proxy.
Overall we seem to be moving at a pace that will land us in Vacuo by the middle of the second half of the volume if I were to wager
But I cannot say that I like the writing
It was fine until now but watching this episode I found myself asking "why would you write it that way" at the screen
Mostly with Yang and Weiss's characterizations.
I'm getting a huge Alice in Wonderland vibe
“ A smaller more honest soul…”
Little?
No. That's supposed to be Ruby.
@@DocMicrowave You know Little's attitude on life right now reminds me of how Ruby acted when we first meet her, an innocence that she has lost over the time fighting Salem. Lets look back to Volume 1
"I'll...keep this brief. It is up to you to take the first step."
In this world name seem to equal purpose so perhaps Little will help Ruby rediscover herself?
Eric, the rules for posting RWBY reactions require waiting a week after the chapter is released. It's a good idea to wait until after the next chapter is available.
Rooster Teeth support told me that we can post it right away now.
Really? That's odd. Okay. That's two different answers given to different people.
@@themythmaker1248 I mean, I’m seeing a lot of Rwby reactors reacting to the episodes on the same day as released. maybe it changed with Crunchyroll releases?
Is it me or is this volume more comedic with team rwby doing funny anime things
It is for now but we know this writing team....
That’s what rwby always was besides volume 8 since that’s when they were closest to the enemies. Also they are in a fairy tail which has comedy characters and plot. Not all of it is comedy though with Ruby going through major changes and trauma. I think you just forget that all through vol 1-7 wasn’t all just dark besides the end of vol 3 (Also there won’t be much fighting in this season to which will be a change with no grim)
Look to the original story of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass for the references, not the movie
Wait, her arm attaches to her arm? I think her arm attaches to her shoulder, but what do I know about anatomy😂😂
This was inspired by Alice in wonderland
Skvělé. Jen tak dál. Jen ti chybí tyhlety 4 krátká videa a možná jedno video z videoher a máš kompletní sérii. Ale jinak skvělá práce. 👍🙂
RWBY volume 4 Character Short
RWBY volume 5 Weiss Character Short
RWBY volume 5 Blake Character Short
RWBY volume 5 Yang Character Short

This opening is kinda like Time to say Goodbye. I didn't like it the first time and still don't like it now... but it's growing on me the more times I hear it.
The volume 4 opening just had a good feel.
3, never liked that one.
Ya ruby is 100% going dark
Didn't Ruby go "dark" starting from about mid V3?
Complete a parental guidance warning from CRWBY.
Alice in wonderland
the episode felt short
Where are you watching RWBY
Ruby is mad
More like depressed.
No, she's "angry".
free rwby
Is it just me or does ruby sound different
Actually, RT themselves apparently told him that it's okay to post these right away
I literally can't handle Bumblebee laughing and punning while Ruby and Weiss have emotional moments, this is just like volume 7 but Soooo much worse. Regardless, I like how expressive Weiss is this volume compared to last volume and Ruby's character development seems really interesting
why do you not follow rooster teeths request to wait a week after the episode airs to put it up on youtube........... 👎
They already told me they changed it since they're on crunchyroll and I can post it right away
taken from roosterteeth content usage guidlines:
Q: I’m a FIRST Member, and I watch Rooster Teeth content before it’s released on TH-cam. Can I release a reaction or review video on TH-cam before the episode is available on TH-cam?
A: Thanks for being an awesome FIRST Member! If you can, we generally prefer you to post your reaction video on TH-cam after our episodes are released there. But no matter when it’s released, we’ll still enforce these guidelines the same.
@@RobVil Well it's not on rooster teeth first until 2024 it's on Crunchyroll this year
I can’t tell how I feel about this volume. It’s very different and feels like a filler season almost.
True, but at the same time, the last 3 volumes (6,7,8) were heavily action packed with minor laughs
This volume is somehow more of a connectional story arc but also adding the jokes AND the old volume 1 and 2 chill moments
It looks filler yes, but somehow have more impact on when you watch volume 8 or even past volumes if we are gonna talk about the possible future episodes of revealing past traumas and decisions that they are gonna shaped them to become better and be cautious on their move
I like/hate it. I’m finding most with Ruby and Weiss interesting and even fun. I have no clue why tf yang and Blake are here lol. That scene of them flirting to please bee’s fans while Weiss and ruby have an emotional moment about the mistakes and loss of her home during a war are such hilarious examples of where these characters stand.
Two are being used to depth while the other are being used to shipbait attention.
@@thespy6707 i think that's just thinking about it too negatively, instead of being angry that yang and blake are together why not enjoy the moment weiss and ruby got to share? Being angry at everything really just ruins an otherwise peaceful moment for no reason
@@KingMufasa_8 Literally never said I was angry at everything. THEY are absolutely terrible but again, like I said ruby and Weiss are great. I am enjoying their scenes. The other two might as well not even be there.
@@thespy6707 In other words, sounds a lot like V7. Where Ruby takes lead on emotional moments, Weiss is on Drama, and Blang and Yake follow up as window dressing.
No offense but you guy's do realize your supposed to wait a week be fore posting your reaction right?
He’s mentioned before he has already gotten permission from RT
This is such a tacky attempt at recreating Wonderland. By the way, Little keeps falling asleep because she's the dormouse, who was always asleep at the tea party in Wonderland.
I hope Neo kidnaps her later for accuracy, because this is just so boring!
I still love the show. I think it's BS that they are starting to make a specific group happy by making 2 mains start to be lesbian just to "fit in with the times" I highly doubt Monty would have agreed to fit in when the idea was to do something different. There are already a big number of lesbian or gay couples in this show. Don't make 2 that are obviously straight thought 8 other season start to fall. It's BS!!!
Ok i wonder if NEO is actually alex the girl who fell through the world n when she came back to remant she didnt talk or refused to talk as she was no longer the same girl she was befofe... as NEO is mean n cheats a little so she is the type like alex in the story according to BLAKE alex cheated n was mean in this world... n the way the opening gose from a pic of NEO to the "im assuming" the ALEX girl laying on the beach... what if thats NEOs true form ??
That mouse has no idea how to get back home or were to go. So it just starts a house while singing a song. It's optimism is commendable.🫡
If not a little insane.
Maybe it is the sequel to Alyx’s story.
It might explain a lot of things.
Like Alice through the looking glass.
It feels like Team RWBY is going to copy Alyx this volume.
dude you never read Alice in wonderland or seen any of the movies
