Personally, I love that Blake is kind of taking the lead this volume; not only has she displayed strong leadership skills before, back in Volume 5, but also because she was originally introduced as a bookworm into fairytales and romanticism. It takes her character back to her roots.
I love how when Jinxy lifted the jar and said “enough hope to fill this jar” it was surrounding the doll- and Ruby didn’t have enough to fill it. But when he lowers the jar and the doll is taken for Ruby, it’s surrounding Little. As if Little is the representation for Ruby’s hope.
I think the climate changes according to the feeling of any person, when the guards are going after them one of them says "someone here is sad", because he notices that it is raining, so it is common knowledge of the people who live on this island that that happens
It's literal "pathetic fallacy", the idea that nature or the weather reflects the main character's emotions. As a filmmaking student, I love that they've implemented the idea in a semi-logical in-universe way (the logic being that logic does not exist in the Ever After). it's weird.

They mentioned the 'Rusted Knight', which is clearly meant to be Jaune. He was here when Alyx came through, she met him and her story was told around Remnant for long enough to become a fairy tale team RWBY grew up with. How long has he been part of this story?
That is some next level thinking. I didn’t even realize that if jaune is the rusted knight he’d have been there since Alyx. I wonder how rwby will realize it’s jaune and how would they react to him being in the everafter for years.
This episode made me realize something. Ruby is not the Hero of this story. Ozpin is. Salem is his great Villain. Ruby is a third party, a Story Teller. The Narrator. She spins the tale of their world, and rallies people to the side of the Hero, and directs them against the Villain. Her purpose is not to win the fight, but rather, to direct people in which way the fight should go.
Using AI to transcribe stuff actually works really well, I've done it with an interview in my English class. You just record the audio, and then there are lodes of free websites that turns it into text for you. The one I used didn't seperate the voices but I'd imagen it would cut down some time at least and you can seperate it manualy by listening to the audio as you do it.
I love that Yang still has enough good spirits to screw around with people using her metal arm prosthetic as a prop for a joke....she did the same thing to Nora and later Penny for the lulz.
Ruby is going dark like feeling guilt, anger and sadness all at the same time, blaming herself with everything that happened carrying a heavy burden so I don't know what her character will be through out this volume and I've seen a lot of anime that had the same situation so...
I call that character devolopment and was about time Ruby had some of it! It's funny, although vol. 4 and 5 were disappointing, the main characters had much more character growth and depth when they were separated, not only Ruby but Blake and Yang as well: Blake was more assertive and shrewd when she was with Sun at Menagery, and Yang was more matured and reasonable before reuniting with the rest of the team. After volume 6, Ruby became more childish (as if it wasn't enough), Blake turned into a sheep and Yang returned to her old arrogant, reckless and bullheaded self, not to mention unsufferably hypocritical with the way she treated Ozpin, Ironwood and Emerald. To sum up, I don't think this new matured Ruby is going to last long, unfortunately!!!!
Note: Jinxie Reference Arnold's Theory by putting the Jar in front of the Green Doll (Which is Penny's Elemental Sword which could be the stand in for the Vorpal Blade from Alice in Wonderland inspiration) The Jar references Arnold's idea of how the Creation of Penny as a Human worked and I love that it's there but can also be just a Coincidence

I’m a little upset that Yang isn’t doing that much to try to comfort Ruby but I also get why. Ruby has never talked about her problems much, with anyone. Last season Yang waited to give her talk to Ruby until AFTER Ruby decided to vent to her. So, my guess is that Yang is waiting for Ruby to to come to her, because going to Ruby first and trying to get her to talk likely just doesn’t work/only makes her bottle it up more. We see Weiss try that and unsurprisingly, Ruby doesn’t budge. If anyone in the show understands how to deal with Ruby’s emotional dysfunction it should be Yang. I kind of wish they would have Yang say that to another character though, bc right now that’s just a guess on my part and it would be nice to get more ‘motherly Yang’ moments since I feel like we’ve only gotten that like 2 times (and only one was with Ruby).
Weiss tries applying cold logic to their situation and it doesn't work.....Blake the Book Nerd gets the storybook vibe of this place and Ruby trusts Blake's judgement....the recognition that this place works by the logic of storytelling.....and a eulogy is very powerful storytelling indeed.
