If you are bored like me here is a great recipe for a Beef Taco Skillet (it’s pretty good)
    INGREDIENTS-
    1 pound ground beef
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Tomato SoupRegular or Healthy Request® or Classic Tomato Soup
    1/2 cup Pace® Picante Sauce
    1/2 cup water
6 flour tortilla (6-inch), cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (about 2 ounces)
    DIRECTIONS
    Step 1
Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat.
    Step 2
Stir the soup, picante sauce, water and tortillas in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir the beef mixture. Top with the cheese. Enjoy!

This may sound crazy but I have a hand tied brush jig. It has a different shape than a football jig. I have caught my pb jig fish on it by accident, I sat it down to eat a sandwich in 40 foot of water and the action of the water and waves set the hook and it was a three pound spot in clear water. I am moving into more jig fishing. My question is, there is no difference between the football, right? Brush jig, brush only or just more brush than normal plus deep dragin?

Just checked em out. I could see the benefits, but I also see one glaring downside, which is that the bait is resting above the hook, which will cause it to turn over on it's side on the bottom. I like a jig, because the trailer is on the bottom with the shank of the hook, allowing it to rest flat on the bottom. I could see the hookup ratio actually being worse on the snagless jig than a normal jig

It's just a confidence thing. You've gotta use it and fail a bunch to eventually succeed. I have plenty of jig videos to help you as well! Good luck!

How do you feel about customizing skirts? - multiple lengths? volume? Multi-colors? etc .

I’m in favor of it if you have a very specific forage species that fish are targeting. In most cases though, I don’t think fish are that smart

Question: does it help to thin out the weed guard or shape the weed guard or trim the weed guard on Jigs?

What rod and reel combo do you recommend around $200 for Texas rigs, Carolina etc? Action, length, reel ratio etc

Great video. As always, I learned a lot. I’m going to make my best effort to actually do some jig fishing this year. I made the commitment and bought a bunch of them a couple months ago. I’ve always been sort of intimidated by them. After watching this video for the 4th time, it’s time I started. Your dad jokes are on point. Lol

Most swim jigs utilize a light wire hook, for those I use 15 to 17 pound flouro and for heavier grass I use braid and a heavier hooked swim jig. I can bend out the standard hook with braid with my hook set.
