Chris Owens I think mine was about £60. I didn't get it through the ballot, it was when they were doing them first come, first served later on - I happened to be on a day off when tickets for this went on sale and got lucky. Was a fantastic day.
How come Jason Kenny never got knighted, yet his Olympics medals record is identical to his? Laura should get a Damehood too as she's successful in her own right with four golds to her name.
Each team has three riders, once the first rider has done one lap, they pull off. Then the second pulls off in the second lap and the third rider rides all three laps. The first and second riders are there to push the air, the third rider does the same speed for less effort (until the last lap).
Have to disagree with this entirely. Bauge has consistently been the fastest man one in the world since at least Beijing. It's an area where he is a specialist, he's also shown through various competition that his length is not too great. Sireau, I believe, holds the current world record for the flying 200m. His top speed is perhaps the highest out of the trio, and top speed is the most important aspect of man two. Length is the most important for man three and D'Almeida has a strong kilo.
The tour favored the time triallists this year, not to mention absolutely nobody dared to attack sky in the mountains, which makes me feel more and more as if they bought the tour... the amount of time trial kilometers gave wiggins the win, the chap can't climb well, even froome knocked him off his wheel when he accellerated
I challenge these guys to do a power study of air vrs water inflation for their sprinting ability. I've tested air vrs water over a 9 mile course on the road and found a faster result for water. I personally own two homemade disks of 7 and 12 pounds. Although I'm injured and can't race them.
I love everything about this except that 'Team GB' crap. It's soooo Americanised that my spell-checker is wrongly telling me that I should spell it 'Americanized'. (no doubt with a ZEEEE, not a Zed.)
As far as I know he finished second, Wiggins only won the 2 time trials after Cancellara went home to get ready for the birth of his child, gave team orders to Froome to stop pulling away from Wiggins to prevent time loss for Wiggins because if one rider would have went, others would have followed. But like I said, they never did attack and all of the breakaways they didn't reel in was because it was consisting of riders that were too far down to pose a threat.Like I said, Team Sky bought the Tour.
Perhaps i could be wrong. My statements is based on facts that they just fell behind. But i will still have the same trio to have another shot at the Brits.
rubbish, Sky set such a hard pace on the climbs nobody could attack. Those are the views of Robert Millar king of the mountains in 84, runner up in Vuelta 85 & 86, runner up Giro 87. What does this man know about elite climbing, lol!
janovewaldner3993 more like too much money. They are the only team to have new bikes every year and they get to buy a stock of mavics and choose which one was produced the best.
Chris Hoy is a true gentleman. I'm French but have always liked the man. This Olympics belonged to GB who simply outclassed every other nation.
Gracious comment. 👏
I was lucky enough to be in the Velodrome for this one - what an awesome atmosphere there was! Still gives me goosebumps thinking about it now.
I watched the team pursuit in Rio. I can imagine it must have been something else in London. How much were the tickets? Mine was about £75.

You lucky man. The 2012 Olympics had so many great moments for Team GB, and the velodrome was a special place.
Chris Hoy is living legend. I dont think we gonna see his kind in our life time any more.

@@cupcakefairy87 they both will now :)
Jason and Laura Kenny tho
Now they've both exceeded him in Tokyo
What a team. Great to see Sir Chris back in action in the velodrome: Nissan and Sir Chris Hoy #UniteAndExcite
Lol I was just watching and this flicked back onto Rio and GB just won this race again! lol perfect timing! =o

Can't wait for this event at Rio!
Well done boys 💙 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I am sure they can't wait for the rematch with the all conquering Brits.
Look at the power look at legs look at the pistons, The legs have it
Looks like someone ate their branflakes this morning!
What a race !

This comment aged well....

That close.. France and Britain rule Velodrome Cycling.
Now it's Germany and Holland
The French should have gotten Bauge to be the finisher....De Almeida is a powerhouse in the middle and Sireau should have started against Hinez.

Also look back this way, a good thing...

no one ever attacked
Istvan Varjas build super motor for UK team 😂
You didn't watch the Tour de France this year?
As far as I know he finished second, Wiggins only won the 2 time trials after Cancellara went home to get ready for the birth of his child, gave team orders to Froome to stop pulling away from Wiggins to prevent time loss for Wiggins because if one rider would have went, others would have followed. But like I said, they never did attack and all of the breakaways they didn't reel in was because it was consisting of riders that were too far down to pose a threat.Like I said, Team Sky bought the Tour.
is a 1 minute 42 kilo time trial on a road course with tight turns good for a 14 year old?
Blink and you'd miss that.
No it was Sky that favoured Wiggo, next year Sky are giving Froome the lead position.
What position did Froome finish?
what did he say?
Wow
At least a track race... on the road it's a completely different story...
If anything Bauge went off too quickly and man2 couldn't keep up.
Ohh Yeah :D
Perhaps i could be wrong. My statements is based on facts that they just fell behind. But i will still have the same trio to have another shot at the Brits.
barely anyone can beat a brit at a cycling race :D
what do you call those red stands? hmm
Dawoud Jouf Caranguian starting blocks.
How?
why are team gb's forks so wide
More aero apparently.
More aero - channels air better over the down tube or something.
what about fork stiffness?????
Giorgino Edery If GB are using them in competition they are plenty stiff. Carbon fibre is extremely strong.
Giorgino Edery they are better for long chips
And the Scotsman does it again for GB I mean england!
No he did it for GB 🇬🇧
are you French?
I MUNCH CANDLES
Want Jason kenny sick in a bin after this or was it another one where Lara was racing after him

Pity Hinds is German,lol
Cheaters, Hindes knows that

GBR de merde vive la FRANCE ON EST LES BEST
the best team won in the final, but GB cheated in qualifications, and they know it
