I agree re. Holding the mic in the hand… it’s very distracting and find myself just looking at the receiver rather than the person. I love a hidden mic and you are the best!

Yes. THANK YOU FOR SAYING THIS!!! I can’t stop looking at their mic, especially when they have a windscreen on it… my mind thinks “fuzzy caterpillar!” and my eyes go straight to it. So distracting!

So glad this now exists! Going back to using wires was the only downside when upgrading from the Sony ECM-W2BT to the DJI Mic 2.
is dji coming with a boom wireless mic? Then when you need you get the adapter for use in camera maybe.
Sidney, would you be willing to try this with an A7iii if you have one? Does the analog setting affect post processing or quality at all?

Cool video! I just purchased my Mic 2 adapter, can't wait to try it out. Can it be used where the audio interface of the receiver is facing forward?
No. It only works with the receiver screen facing the shooter. You can’t see when vloggiing. Improves the audio quality though.

It just looks good but for me very unusful if it's related to the camera pins,, and the most important for meif I use it on gimbal means extras weight and for handheld while I have my camera cage means nothing as I have to attach the mic on the cage itself still

That is an awesome adapter! If I hadn't chanced across a second-hand Røde Wireless Go a few months ago, I would almost certainly be buying this and a Dji wireless mic! I love my Røde, though - I use it with Zoom calls.
And I'm with you on the visible mic thing - I clip my transmitter inside my collar to make it less visible. But it has a little blue power light that sometimes needs hiding... Grr..

The audio levels are set on the transmitter which is why I set the output level to -3
and it cost how much and a cable costs and U have to ave a sony camera with a hot shoe
We got two DJI Mic 1 and if these works with a DJI Panasonic version, I’d be interested. So waiting for that LUMIX XLR-1 replacement.

Wow! WOW! I never imagined such a thing would exist but I have always LOVED that Sony smart hot shoe ! Almost want to buy an FX30 now. Sweetie & I LOVED hearing this. Now we have to get back to vlogging our beer with the Pocket 3 and our 2 DJI MIC2s. Keep the great videos coming.

I just received the DJI mic 2 today and it's not compatible with the a6700 when you have the smallrig cage on, so I was looking for an adapter to add to the cold shoe of the cage and then DJI releases the solution in the middle of my search😂😂😂😂 . Great Video, Sidney!

Hey Sidney - do you own the ECM-G1? if so - have you used it with the Sony Ac2? it is supposed to be an AUTO mic - however on the A7C 2 it allows for volume adjustment on the camera - have you ran into this at all? Also - I really need RODE to make adapter like this - this is HUGE.
I do and it's an okay mic. The ECM-B10 or ECM-M1 are waaaaay better
@@SidneyDiongzon Thanks for the reply - I do know those mics are better - my question was functionality - does yours allow you to adjust the volume on the A7C2? It does for me - which seems ODD and its kind of annoying since I want it to be auto for that mic - and when I use it on the FX3 or the ZVE10 - it is auto - but now on the A7C 2 - it allows the volume adjust the volume - which I forget to do and screw up audio at times - its odd - it technically makes the mic better - but I am finding it annoying. Just curious why this update would happen.

Yes it does. FX3 is on the compatibility list, and I just checked with my FX6.
Of course the further you get away from a shotgun mic, the less sound will be received into the mic. What does that have to do with DJI utilizing the hot shoe of camera for their wireless units?
Because you don’t have to use a cable to connect the receiver to the camera body.
