@@hifiaudios8101 yep. No physical buttons on the bar. I’d never noticed before. Seems like a shortcoming. I unplugged all devices, plugged them back in, did a search on my tv for HDMI devices, and sometime throughout that, the soundbar finally auto switched modes as it found the right one I need. It’s working now 😄 Thx for the reply
hey there! so, the bose bass module 500 might not show up in the bose music app cause its connected with a 3.5 mm audio cable. the app usually needs a wireless connection to detect and control devices. try connecting it wirelessly and see if that helps. hope this sorts it out for you!

Yeah, true, most new smartphones don’t have IR blasters anymore. So if your phone doesn’t have one, you’ll need to use the Bose app or get a universal remote to control the soundbar.
